Authentic food, authentic restaurant setting. Feels like I stepped into a restaurant in India. Fantastic North and South Indian dishes. I’ve been here several times now and haven’t yet been disappointed(okay, I do wish the buffet pakoras were served fresh, crispy and hot, daresay I suggest direct to table???), but really the food here is top-notch. Their tandoori is a veer off the bright red typical restaurant-style; theirs is a very tasty roast chicken with their own blend of spices and no food coloring. The food here overall seems to be good quality and home-style. So far we’ve only been for the lunch buffet, but we are looking forward to a tasty dosa and uttapam dinner date. Hands down, best Indian restaurant in Vancouver.

This is a solid option for some Indian this side of the Columbian. Typically, SC and I get two curries a la carte and garlic naan. One of the curries is always chicken saag and we’ve slowly gone through the list of every curry, hoping to find one we enjoy as much as the saag. Tragically, the saag seems to be the best curry on the menu, but we’re ok with that. It’s thick and rich, middle of the road in terms of spiciness, with chunks of chicken. The naan is perfectly balanced between soft and crispy(I like mine with some carbon on them). The interior isn’t fantastic and the colour of the walls reminds me of guacamole. The view out the window is of either the parking lot or the Motel 6 next door(we like to watch for cats prowling around the halls). The menus and table always feel faintly sticky, but isn’t terrible noticable, at least to us.

I’ve never met an Indian buffet I could really enjoy, but damn. Abhiruchi changed my mind! I was thrilled, especially since it seems the other two Vancouver Indian joints are committed to falling short. I still feel awkward at buffets, which is why I don’t go often. But that’s a personal issue.

All that I can say is «WOW!» Any other words wouldn’t suffice to describe how delicious and warming the food feels in my mouth. I hate to give such a good review because I don’t want people overcrowding the space but i can’t help to acknowledge a really good Indian restaurant. Two thumbs up!

Ahbiruchi is always a treat. The best Indian food in town. Even better a buffet that changes daily for less than the price of a entrée anywhere else. My favorites are the Masala beets and Sag paneer. They have a dish I love and have never seen anywhere else. Basically it is cream of wheat with savory spices it is such a different texture than rice and goes perfectly with the sauces from the other dishes. For desert the sheer is just what you need to finish after some of the spicy dishes. The chai takes a little while to get because it is made fresh made. Real chai you will need to add your own sugar to this lovely creamy tea. The food is a bit spicier than at other buffets who tend to keep things bland. There are non spicy dishes but Sag paneer is not one of them. Give them a try. Support a local business and have an amazing lunch for $ 10. Be prepared to want a nap after trying 4 or 5 too many dishes.

The lunch is buffet style and dinner is served as a five course meal if you order it as an entrée. I have gone to both may a time and it has consistently been excellent service and excellent food. I warn you to not tell them to make your dish spicy! I once did that and I was crying it was so hot. My husband’s favorite dish is the butter chicken and I have to say it is one of the best things on the menu. The décor of the place makes it feel a little shabby, but this place is a diamond in the rough with wonderful food and service.

Yummy south Indian food! The lady was very helpful. she constantly kept checking in on us. Happy to eat some Indian food that actually tasted like tasty Indian food. Worth the drive from Portland! I took a star off because the ambience in the hotel could use a little help.

I went here for their lunch buffet. Obviously, this is a popular place because it was crowded in there. Their buffet was delicious and cost about $ 32 for 2 adults and 2 kids. The place was fairly clean but can use some work or at least some updating. The music volume was perfect. You can still hear the music but it wasn’t difficult to talk to the people that you’re with. I’d go here again if I was in the area.

This restaurant is fantastic. It’s not anything particularly special décor wise but the food and service are great. I’ve really liked everything I’ve ordered here. I would highly recommend this place. Seems pretty friendly and authentic to me

Above average place with great service. The waiter accommodated the request for egg bhajji that was not in the menu. The masala dosa, idli and vada were pretty good. The aloo parata was decent and fans with a side of yogurt raita. The kids loved their sweet and mango lassis. Will return if I’m in the area.

The quality of the food at this place is top notch, and combined with friendly service, its worth the drive from Portland to experience. Do yourself a big time favor if you go in the evening and order the dinner option of your entrée rather than getting it a la carte. You get nan, papadam, rice, curried vegetables, yogurt, sambar AND dessert with your entrée for only $ 2 more than getting it a la carte. I got their chicken tikka masala and liked it, though it was a bit sweet for my taste. I cant wait to sample their other entrees. They have chicken, lamb and even goat along with lots of vegetarian options. I didnt personally try their buffet but they have one and I am sure it is just as good as their dinner dining option. I would definitely go here again!

Went here based off of what reviews and friends have mentioned. Going here was absolutely the best idea. I had the Chicken Tikka Masala. Was surprised by how much food I had gotten for my money. The chicken was incredible and for someone who is honestly scared of too much spice it was perfect. Loved the sides and how the all had such bold variety of flavors and still all blended well. The service was incredible. I was so stuffed I couldn’t finish all of my main chicken meal(dinner portions come with 4 smaller sides and I ate them all first without noticing). The lady asked me if I wanted something different because I hadn’t eaten it all compared to my other eaten sides. I was just honestly full and wanted to save it for home. But the fact that: 1. Made sure always had enough water, 2. Asking if I wanted something different and not out of any sort of anger or spite but truly wanted me to enjoy whatever I was eating, 3. I coughed while he was bring over water. I had some spice caught in my throat. I mentioned early I am kinda a baby when it comes to spice so he asked if I needed it less spicy. So based off of the fact that it had incredible service, amazing fresh flavorful ingredients, and sense of leaving amazing I would recommend this to everyone to try out.

Lunch buffet is ~$ 10(does not include a beverage) and there is a modest selection even though the buffet bar looks small. The food is hot and gets replenished frequently and the staff was attentive. The décor is a bit dated but everyone in my party enjoyed their food. Keep in mind the restaurant is closed on Mondays. It’s certainly worth a visit.

*Stuffing food in mouth* Come here for lunch. It’s $ 10 for unlimited food. The food is so d**n flavorful. Everything from the naan to the chicken to the vegetables is so wonderfully seasoned. *Chew chew chew* Oh gosh, get the fried stuff. It’s so savory. Because it’s not too crowded here, there aren’t too many judging eyes. Very casual and relatively quiet. *More stuffing* Oh what’s this? Unlimited dessert? Why yes I’ll have more fruit in orange sauce. *drooling* Gosh, they’re so nice too.
