Very unprofessional! When I checked in, one of the receptionist asked me if I wanted to buy a hat «they sell them on the side» chuckling. Ummm No thank you, I took a seat while they processed my ID. The same young Latin gentleman brought me to the lab for my fingerprint background screening and asked me to sign in, wash my hands, etc. I noticed some chatting had going on and couldnt figure out where it was coming from. I moved towards the xomputer where the testing was being captured and directed to put lotion on my hands for the benefit of the finger scanning. I continue to hear this taking, foul language etc. I asked him what was that noise, he communicated that he was streaming a Comedy Show playing on his phone. He asked me if I knew Kevin Hart, I said, «No sorry». He goes on to tell me how he seen him when he came to Washington, etc, how he likes him alot. That’s great! As he is performing my fingerprints, this comedian is getting louder, using fowl (sh@$, fu*#) language and saying «this nigga this, this nigga that». OK, I was DONE! I asked him, do you listen to this all the time while doing this”.he said, «from time to time, blaablablaa»…I said, «don’t you think it’s unprofessional»? He says, Oh well, I didn’t know he was going to go there” chuckling. I said, «I’m sorry but can you turn it off, it’s distracting and inappropriate» and he did. I was like, really? Where is the supervision? The place didn’t look ghetto or run down. Totally unexpected. It was like going into a professional dental office, laying down to get your teeth cleaned and then «Ice Cube from Straight outta Comptom» performs a concert in your little cubical… smh! Please be more professional, have common courtesy and know that not everyone listens to that stuff or appreciates that you do while at work. Keep it to before, after and on your lunch during your time! You seem like a nice young man… Thanks!
