Blue Bond

My daughter invited me to join her in taking a group art lesson with Blue a couple years ago, and I had a fabulous time. My fellow students were experienced painters, up-​and-​coming painters, and some beginners like me. The studio is spacious, and the atmosphere was cordial and relaxed. I left class feeling happy and so glad I tried something outside my comfort zone. Today I am a collector of Blue’s paintings, as well as a student taking private lessons. Blue’s art hangs in our home, and in our office building. I am a huge fan of this artist and his ever-​expanding talent. As a teacher, he’s accepting and encouraging to all his students regardless of their skill level. If you want to give oil painting a whirl, I can recommend Blue Bond without reservation.

If you are looking for painting classes in the Vancouver/​Portland metropolitan area, look no further. I discovered Blue Bond while in Cannon Beach for the Stormy Weather Art Festival I bid on one of his paintings at an auction at the Surf Sand and lost, and then visited his gallery in Cannon Beach the next day. Inspired by all of the art I saw over the weekend, I searched for classes close to my home in Portland. I was delighted to learn that Mr. Bond offers quite reasonable one-​on-​one and group painting classes in Vancouver just off I-​5. With 40 years of experience, he has a lot to offer a wide variety of students, from those like me with little or no formal training, to more experienced artists who seek to fine-​tune their technique and paint with another artist. I am doing once weekly private classes that allow me to have Mr. Bond’s full attention. I am learning so much, and the classes have become a highlight in my life that I really look forward to. He also does group classes, which I think would be a lot of fun as well.
