Catherine’s Store 332

I have been to this store maybe 10 to 15 times. I love Catherine’s close. I buy a lot online and in the Portland area. The Vancouver store is smaller and has less choices. However it is the nearest store to my home.
Twice now I have tried to return items to this particular store. I also must say that the manager of the store is not a happy or pleasant person. Even when I have made purchases there I don’t feel like a valued customer. But, trying to return anything is even more unpleasant.
I went in last week with four items that I got via the Web store. They were all in original packaging with the shipping receipts attached. The manager would not accept the return stating it didn’t list the price I had paid on those reciepts. I asked her if she could use her scanner on either the receipt or the bar codes on the clothing. She said no. I asked her if she could look up the order on her system by using my order number that was on the reciept. No again. I was frustrated as I had done this other times at other Catherine’s. I told her that it seemed to me that every time I came into the store she personally, as the manager always made me feel like I was trying to pull a fast one. No matter if I have a coupon or not. I have seen other customers also treated the same way. There was a table with some watches on it marked a special price. A woman selected one to add to her shopping. When she went to the register it did not ring up at the correct sale price and she told the manager. She went over to the table rhe watch had come off of and declared that the watch the customer had selected should not have been put out on the table. The customer said well that wasn’t her fault and won’t the store honor their advertising. The manager got upset and said, so you want to be like that and take advantage of someone’s mistake? She tried to make that lady feel guilty for the stores error. I wanted out before the dispute was settled.
I have made a vow to never darken their doorway again.
And, when I took the return to one of the Portland stores, they processed 4 he return without any problem.
It gets a one star just because you have to give it a star to list the review.
