Dick Hannah Vancouver Collision Center

Brought my brand new 2015 STI here last year to get windows tinted. What a horrible job. Burned window moldings, cut window moldings inside. Had to redo back window 3 times and is still messed up.
This was done by «Dale «the collision centers lead tech for window tinting and wraps… The lead person did the worst job ever …
Have personally known the collision center director for over 20 yrs and still I got crappy service. Even the promises he made to me were never kept. Was offered a gift card for my hassle which was kinda a joke, but as usual I never got it. Do not get your windows tinted here !!!
Also they put 2 miles on my car joyriding it around the block. 2 fricken miles. UNREAL
Will pay another shop to fix and never will be back. They lost a $ 60k New Acura sales also to this.

I brought my car to dick Hannah because they are the place I bought my car from and I had amazing service. I’ve also had first hand experience with the service department and had zero issues, but the collision center, which is located next to the service department seem to be in a different time zone because the quality of service and customer service appear to be totally different.
I brought my car to the collision center a week ago to have repairs done and Matt drew up my estimate and they told me that it would take roughly 6 days for the repairs. I received periodic text from them telling me how «great» things were going and to my surprise, I got a text saying that my car was ready 2 days early. Unfortunately, There was no way that I would be able to pick it up in time because I was working and the shop would be closed by the time i got there so I called them and the gentlemen who answered told me that I could pick it up Monday.
Monday rolled around and when I went to pick up my car, Matt wasn’t available to go over the damages with me nor was anyone else. The receptionist took my money, handed me the keys and told me that my car was in the parking lot within the first 3 rows. Keep in mind the lot is HUGE and since when do customers fetch their own vehicles? I walked outside and it was still raining and searched roughly 80 cars and it wasn’t where the receptionist told me it would be. Turns out they had it stashed in the back lot where customers are prohibited and Someone else from the front desk had to retrieve it for me.
Once my car was pulled out of the back lot I noticed that all of the damages weren’t fixed. There was still paint on my quarter panel and bumper. There were even damages unrelated to the accident on my car that occurred while they were repairing it.
A message was left with the Matt later on that day and he never returned my email so I called him the next day. He didn’t seem at all fazed by my frustrations and told me to bring my car back in a couple of days and the remaining repairs would be taken care of. After some back and forth driving to the dealership I now have my car back and it’s still not complete. So if dealing with Matt don’t bother emailing him he won’t return your messages. Persistence is key.

I had bad experience 2011 there. My review disappeared. Hail damage repair was disgustingly poor. I had a leaky roof on Honda Pilot. Rain water was leaking into the car. We had to take it back. My Acura molding fell off as we were driving. Insideplastic covering the break light fell off as well. They drop an adhesive glue on the seat cover. After detailing, we found greasy finger prints on the ceiling carpeting. I made «a lot» of trips to the collision center to address these issues. I also made several trips to their enterprise car rental for loaners. After I gave them a bad review, they called asking me to bring my car in again. I agreed then decided not to. I was tired of their work. So, I took it to someone I knew and finally fixed the molding. Well, I later traded both of those cars in for something else. I certainly did not buy my cars from the Dick Hannah Group. Can anyone recommend a good body shop in Vancouver or Portland for the future?

They are rude and nasty to women. Went in to buy a jeep. They weren’t that bad for a car dealership until they started to lie to me. The jeep pulled to the right. Not support to there needed an alignment, they said are you sure. There is nothing wrong. Cars now pilots the write so when you fall asleep at the wheels you will go to the right not to on coming traffic. Tomorrow you can bring it in and it will be 10 minutes. I bring it in. It will be over an hour. I don’t have that much time. Bring it in the 3^rd time and I need a appointment. I don’t have one for 3 days. I need a loaner to get to work. Nope don’t have loaners. Talk to the other guy. Other guy says yes give her a car. And it is out of the arming lot just to the light. Theogony a half a block. And it is out of gas. I called to talk to one of he Hannah kids. No they will not answer calls. They took the car back it was horrible. Even to the point waiting to make am appointment to get it in for an alignment. A guy (that works there) walks up and starts talking to a young lady that also works making appointments. She says look I’m wearing the write clothes today back pants black shoes black coat. He says yes and I bet you even have black panties. Nice what I want to hear at a car dealership.

The team at Dick Hannah Collision Center were fast, friendly and did a Fantastic job repairing my husband truck. We did not have to wonder, or call them, they kept in constant contact with us with any updated information via text messaging.
We were so excited to pick it up way ahead of the scheduled pick up date.
When we picked it up it looked like a brand new vehicle.

What a headache this place was from the first phone call I knew there was going to be issues. One of those things afterwards that you should have listened to your instincts and had your car repaired somewhere else.
They hit insurance pay dirt on my car and tried everything to make sure that they were going to get the check. My car was towed to them at what should have been a total loss and the car should not have been repaired. I was so tired after a month of them having my car to hear them saying how great the new parts were. Like my complaining for 10 days to get new and not used parts did not lead them to getting this for me. They did not do me a favor.
I laughed when they told me that they would make sure that insurance knew right away if the price of the repairs went over the amount to make my car totaled. With the new parts on the car they made sure to give a discount so they wouldnt lose my check. Never once did they show they cared about the quality of my car. This place made you feel like a pawn in the insurance game.
And as for my car after a month of repairs it came back with a horrible vibration, the battery light turning on at random and a squeaky brake. When they called to check on my car and I advised them of my issues they said bring it in and the manager would look at it. Well I was told that when I picked it up that they test drove it to make sure it was perfect. I dont how these peoples cars run but I can not believe that passed quality control with the issues. And of course after a week of telling them about my problems no follow up with them of concern.
I wonder if they would have passed this car back to their family members or friends?

I chose my car to be towed to VW collision in Vancouver after a rear-​end crash of my new 2013 VW Golf on May 8^th, 2014. Day 1 both Safeco Claims Adjuster and Production Manager Chuck at VW told me that the parts would not be new but instead ‘refurbished’. I questioned this from both parties. After all it is a new car. I was told by both it would be ‘Good as New’. After 3 weeks I’m told my car was ready for pickup (the technician was being pulled away in order to do other projects). What a mess. There was pitch all over the vehicle. The compound of the buffing was still visible and the windshield cloudy. I pointed that out to Production Managers John & Chuck and both looked surprised. I told them I had just had exterior detail done 2 months prior. They came back with a ‘free’ exterior detail offer of which I felt should be included in all crash repairs. Regardless, I would have to take my car back again.
Once I had it back I noticed more issues. There were junk parts installed. The interior panel was gauged and scratched. The scuffing from the accident was evident on the side of the interior and the rear latch looked like it was sun bleached.
When I took it back to VW collision for exterior detail (I was told it was possible to have it done in Portland as John said but then retracted by a supervisor) I showed John the gauged interior panel. His remark was ‘It never should have left quality control’. He told me that it would be buffed out that day. I requested a rental. He said not necessary. He called me 4 hours later to let me know I’d have to have rental because their guy was not in the building that day. ERRGGHH!!! I had to call him back because I had to collect myself before saying the wrong thing. I called back 30 minutes later only to find out he was gone for the day. I was SO frustrated and called to talk to the Director. I found his name on a survey card that read ‘if it’s not a service of 10 then call the Director Rick Stoker’. The receptionist said she would push the call thru with high priority. I wait and still an hour later no phonecall. I am without a car because I was shuttled to work so I’m at a loss. I call back and give my info again. The receptionist said she had it at high priority but apparently it didn’t make a difference because I got a call from Chuck again. I told him that I requested to not talk to anyone else EXCEPT the director. Still he told me he also investigated the interior panel and other bad parts and then says ‘it never should have gotten past quality control’. This same statement from 2 different managers. He told me that he would highly encourage the director to call me. Really? Chuck had arranged for my car to be delivered to my workplace and said I’d have to bring the car back to get the repairs done AGAIN. During the time I had my car back I found even MORE issues which included cracked taillights on tailgate. Why this wasn’t caught either who knows. I never did get a call from Rick Stoker.
That next day I finally called the Safeco claims adjuster who gave me contact info of Safeco Quality Assurance person that oversees that facility. I finally got a call back from director Rick Stoker. They both took notes to be sure every concern was met. I returned my car for 3^rd time on Monday, June 30^th and it was finished in 2.5 days (instead of 3wks) with BRAND NEW PARTS. Chuck made the comment ‘It’s surprising how quickly things can get done with the director gets involved’. What do you say to that? I requested a tank of gas before it was returned to me. I received it at my workplace with a full tank of gas. I’ve not heard a word from the company since.
How many people have driven away with shoddy parts and not return because they don’t have the time or are unsure it will be made right again. The VW mantra of ‘1 mistake is too many’ is bogus. If not for persistence I know for a fact I would have been stuck with junk parts on a brand new car. If anyone ever has to go through this experience then be sure to stick with it not because it’s worth it but because it’s the right thing to do. The more people know the more they are aware with some direction. A fact that this can and may have already affected the Net Promoter Score for VW.

Steve was very friendly and Michelle at the front desk was so kind to watch my baby as i went to get my car to pull it into the lot. I can’t wait to see how my car turns out… hopefully good

In the past few years this has been my 3^rd experience with Dick Hannah Collision Center. After my brand new car being rear ended, I immediately took my vehicle to Dick Hannah Collision Center. They quickly access the damage. contacted the insurance company and set me up for an appointment to drop my vehicle off for repairs. I dropped my vehicle off on the designated appointment date and my vehicle was repaired and delivered on time as they stated. The craftsmanship of repair was top notch as always. Jim Bowen from Dick Hannah Vancouver Collision kept me informed throughout the repair of my vehicle. No matter how busy they are there professionalism and courtesy is unmatched. I would never take any of my vehicles elsewhere but to Dick Hannah Collision Center. Best repair shop in town!

I am very satisfied with the quality of repair DH Collision Center performed on my Scion xB. Kudos to the body shop and paint technicians as well as the detailers who to use an old cliché’ «made my car better then new».
I have waited 7 months before filing this review to see if any problems would develop with the workmanship repairs and the portion of the vehicle that was repaired is well blended into the rest of the car you can’t tell it has been repainted and all the replacement parts have held up extremely will through the winter, spring and now summer.
I cannot say enough about the exemplary customer service I received from Jim Bowen the Collision Center Estimator. He kept me apprised daily of the status of the repairs to my vehicle.
Again, all the techs deserve kudos as I had color changing factory paint that has to be about the most difficult paint to blend into existing paint and the detailers made it look like the whole vehicle had been newly painted and the interior looked better than when it went in.
If I have any complaints it is about the telephone customer no-​service staff. The «persons» are rude, do their best to keep you from discussing anything with the estimators and are a major stumbling block in the process. Fortunately I had the direct line and e-​mail so I could communicate with the estimator. The persons at the collision center phone desk may be following orders but they end up really acting and sounding rude and evasive and to me are the most negative aspect of trying to deal with Dick Hannah Collision Center.

I could not be happier with the service I received from these guys. I spoke to Chuck on the weekend and he was extremely helpful in telling me everything that I needed to do in regards to my insurance claim and exactly what to expect. My rear windshield and passenger side window had been smashed in and as a result, glass was all over my the inside of my car.
Ron called me on Monday to give me an update of what they were doing in terms of repair and getting a new rear windshield since they didn’t have one in stock. He was very friendly and made sure all my questions were answered.
When I picked up my car today, I was so impressed by their attention to detail. Not only had they vacuumed all the glass up (and there was a LOT), they had cleaned the inside and washed the outside – something I wasn’t expecting so it was a nice surprise!
I hope I don’t have to use them again but I would definitely go back should the need arise!

** I took a star off these guys from my first review because my car was not repaired as well as I would have hoped. It could have been a total deal killer and was grounds for some serious pissed off attitude, if their service was not 100% top notch. I had an open seam they they forgot (missed?) to weld when doing repairs and the interior of the car became wet when it rained. I brought it back and they repaired again, quick as hell and took care of the rental car. Any other shop I would be PISSED, but their service really is top notch (and why I only dinged them one star. **
These guys are awesome! I brought my car to them for repairs after I was rear ended recently. Had a choice of collision centers, but chose this because it was recommended by Allstate (which has ALWAYS given me great service). While I did expect to get good service, these guys really did go beyond what I was expecting. They called the day after I spoke to my insurance carrier and I actually could not get my car to them fast enough and had to wait a few days.
Went to the place a few days later and got great service. At every stage the agent called me to inform me of what had happened, what the repair procedures were going to be, what it cost, etc., etc. I was asked several times did I have any questions and they really seemed to make an effort to ensure I was 100% informed. To be honest it was more than I cared to know since my insurance was covering it, but if I were paying out of pocket it would have been great to know.
I have only had my car back a few days, but the repairs seem excellent. Besides whatever quality procedures the shop has, the salesperson seemed to really take a personal interest in my car. Like he wanted to make sure everything was 100% correct before he called me to come pick it up.
While unfortunately I have had to deal with Allstate recommended repair centers in the past, I have gotten great service the other two times. First time I used Dick Hannah and they really brought it to a new level. If I were paying out of pocket I would come back easily!
As far as price… I really have no idea how competitive they are to their competition, but the service was outstanding.
I should also add they were QUICK! I thought my car would be in the shop for much longer than it actually was as it had some serious rear damage. They were quick about it!
