Depends on the chef who’s cooking that day. Sometimes the tacos are delicious and sometimes they are just plain. The rating should be lower because of the inconsistency but I couldn’t do that because when the right person is cooking the food is great.

Tacos and churros were damn good. It needs to be more inviting on the outside. The décor is kinda busy on the inside too. The food is good like any mexican place but the churros were what made this place different. I haven’t seen these anywhere else. They are kind of expensive and a it serves more than one.

DONPEDRO!!! this was my FAVORITE taco place in Vancouver /Portland area. I found it on accident when I first moved to Vancouver and instantly fell in love forever. REASON # 1– the inside looks like a jungle! REASON # 2– their tacos are authentic and amazing, personally I think the carnitas and asada is to DIE for. The chicken is my least favorite but it’s still yummy. I also love their asada fajitas. They are spicy and have great flavor. I would suggest only ordering the fajitas if you are eating there because they are really juicy so getting them for take out is really messy and hard to eat. Their Chicken taquitos are also good! REASON # 3– prices are great, service is always good and food is always made fresh! I moved back to Seattle but miss this place so much! I find it surprising they are a chain because they are so good!

They make a really good breakfast burrito. I concur that Don Pedro is far better than Muchos Gracias.

Really good Mexican Food. Specially for being so far from the border… Carne asada is real grilled fajita meat & not sliced chuck steak or brisket like other places. I give them 5 stars. Friendly staff too.

I got excited when I saw ceviche on the menu, but it ended up not being very good in my opinion. However their chimichangas were pretty tasty. I’ll definitely return one day to get another. I would like to try their other items as this place seemed pretty authentic, save for the ceviche.

This Don Pedro’s was divine I thought it would be like the one in Vancouver, but it’s a hundred times better!!! They have a better selection of sauces and fried jalepenos which my husband loves immensely! I loved my spicy pork nachoes and the huge amount of sour cream and gaucomole they give you:-) this will definitely be our go to for good Mexican food:-)

This place is such a nice surprise! Honestly, it doesn’t look like much, just a run-of-the-mill Mexican joint but so far they have never disappointed me. I used to swing by Muchas Gracias on the way to work to pick up a burrito for lunch and then a friend suggested I try Don Pedro’s instead. Recently, I suppose out of a sense of nostalgia I went back to Muchas Gracias again and was so disappointed in their food I will never go back. The pick up menu at Don Pedro’s is simple and affordable, the meats are savory and well cooked. For sitdown meals, the menu is surprisingly unique and the condiment bar is fantastic. So far, the food has been better than almost any other Mexican restaurant I have visited in Vancouver. It doesn’t have to be fancy to be good. Their drive-up window is open until 11 o’clock at night! Great place to grab a couple of amazing tacos on the way home.

Well, our experience was not so great. We usually go to Super Taco on Hwy 99 and have seen this place a thousand times but never ventured in. We had Nacho’s with shredded beef, an Al Pastor Burrito and a shredded beef Burrito to compare with our usual place. Honestly, there was no comparison. The Nacho’s were soggy with half the meat we get at Super Taco. The Burrito’s were mostly rice and bean and we shared the two Burrito’s to get a taste of each and honestly I could not tell one from the other. Overall, the food was very greasy and tasteless. I hate to give a poor rating, but it is what it is. My adult son and I left with the same opinion. For really good Mexican food, drive up highway 99 another two miles and try Super Taco.

E side of NE Highway 99 between NE Minnehaha and NE68th St. Counter Service type restaurant This place is not difficult to find at all… just look for the big a$$ single story building that is mostly red with an orange roof with the names off various Mexican specialties written in large white letters on the side of the roof. Normally I would dole out 5 stars to this spot easily, however my last visit was less than spot on like they normally are. I guess I was just a victim of poor choice… at least for most of the items. I’ve been here many many times because… let’s face it… I love the place and it kind of reminds me of back home in Southern California. Their menu is quite expansive and they always feature Daily Specials… which can also include products with Mole! Mmmmm I love that chocolate filled sauce! I’ve loved everything I’ve had here except their Daily Special of a French Fry Burrito to which I requested Carne Asada as the meat: There was no real description on the sign as to what was actually in it, but I figured«wth… it must be a California Burrito.» Boy was I wrong… There weren’t French Fries at all. The potatoes were actually more like Breakfast Potatoes which were paired with Guacamole, Cheese, and Carne Asada. Oh sure the portion size was quite large, but even after adding various types of salsas this thing was still as dry as Death Valley. I found myself looking around for some cattle skulls! Don’t let that deter you as that was only one item. Everything else I’ve had there has been simply divine. The items have been moist and full of flavors and textures to leave a party in my mouth. Their Fish Taco especially stood out as my favorite one probably anywhere: The fish was super crunchy on the outside while still hot and moist inside and the simplicity of the taco was perfect. I guess I’d only recommend that they change their oil more often as the batter does look a little dark. There is plenty of seating in the form of plastic booths. They use real silverware and flatware which is a nice touch. Décor is kind of dated and a bit minimalistic. They still have one of those old school boxy TVs. There is plenty of parking all around the building in their dedicated parking lot. They do have a drive thru as well if you just want to order, pick up, and drive away!

I love this place, I just had the best TACOS I ever had! Being that Im NOT at all MEXICAN, I have never really eaten a REAL taco before, Today I had a Chorizo taco, a Pastor taco, and a Chicken Taco, My daughter had the Carne Asada taco and they were sooooo good! They are only $ 1.30 for each taco. I will go here next time I want tacos and NOT taco bell!

The reviews on this place reaaaaallllly need to cool it. The place is fine, the food is good. The menu is a mess, it is not cleanl nor is the service staff friendly. My food was very average with bland rice. I got a spicy pork burrito… and they do not need to have such and extensive and confusing menu. Its good if you got the munchiez, but out-side of that I can think of better restaurants within stumbling distance… *Cough* El Tapatio*Cough*

Looks like a dive-y fast food joint. But they cook up some mean authentic-ish(hey, I’m not from Mexico so it’s my perception of what authentic would look/taste like!) Mexican food. Their prices are great, their vegetarian burrito is my favorite! Carne Asada buritto is also great. Breakfast burritos will fill you up and then some — at less than $ 4!

This place is great. Originally from southern California, I grew up spoiled in regards to good Mexican food. Today, looking for a place to eat, my girlfriend and I settled on Don Pedro’s, and were really glad we did. The atmosphere was great, walk up and order style, and the service was fast and friendly, and lastly, the food was phenomenal. We both had the lengue tacos, and were extremely pleased, tasty meat, and great toppings. Not to mention, the prices were fantastic. We will definitely be coming back here again.

I’m giving Don Pedro 5 stars on the strength of their SUPERIOR carne asada. Otherwise, I’d just be ‘a fan’ and give 4 stars. Don Pedro is definitely more of a casual style taqueria, almost a fast food ambience, but the food itself is of much higher quality overall. Everything I’ve had there has been really good, although their salsas are pretty standard — a decent hot red and mild green. What really sells me here is the carne asada. I lived out of the area for twenty years in San Jose, where almost every Mexican restaurant or taqueria was fantastic, with some being transcendent. I feared that moving back to Vancouver, I wouldn’t have as much good Mexican food to choose from. Thankfully, I was wrong and there are great places on several levels to choose from. I was told that Don Pedro had the best carne asada, and I wasn’t disappointed. It’s just about perfect. If I could only import some of San Jose’s La Victoria orange sauce, I’d be in heaven!

I don’t want to name names but if you’ve ever said«why can’t we find Mexican food like back home up here?» you pretty much need to go to this place NOW. While I have yet to achieve my new life goal of eating every dish on the Don Pedro menu, here’s what I’ve had so far… Ceviche Tostada? Excellent. Taco De Pollo? I keep wanting to take a star away from my review because they don’t have it Pollo Asado style, but I can’t. This taco was still a hella-yummy and I can’t punish it for not being something else. Carne Asada? Delish. Nicely cooked, and had a peppery quality that was pleasantly surprising. But their Tacos de Lengua? So tender, so good, and true proof that one of the best things about Tacos De Lengua is not only do you get to french kiss your meal with every bite, but when you taste it? It tastes you back. I heart you Don Pedros Tacos de Lengua! Thanks for being there! Whoops! Almost forgot, they have fresh squeezed OJ which is totally awesome & highly recommended as a complement to the meal ;D
