5 stars for an auto repair place? I never thought I would ever be able to honestly do this but it’s true. Julio is one of the best customer service people I have ever experienced in any industry. I have a 2001 Jetta which I adore and it is well broken in with 230,000 miles. It needed some serious TLC and these guys did such an amazing job. I used to use another local car place until I realized they were totally scamming me, which really hurt my heart so I gave these guys a try. Score. The communication and passion that Julio has for this job is so evident. I’ve worked in the customer service industry for over 20 years and it truly is a make or break situation. Thanks Julio and thanks Gaynor’s for keeping this guy around.

Gaynors automotive by Hazel Dell is winning my business again!
My little Toyota Yaris has been working hard and I typically put around 250 to 300 miles a week to the car! So yes I do need another oil change. And I know Gaynors always take care of their customers!
I know I can do the oil change myself or go to one of those quick service oil change place. By coming to Gaynors I know they have the technicians that are experienced and well qualified.
Turns out my decision is right on!
Julio and technician 78 really took care of me! Not only did they changed the motor oil properly, but they also did a general inspection of the car to make sure it performs at its top conditions.
Besides, Julio never pressure me to get those extra work done immediately! He simple had the technician written up a few issues on the receipt so I will be aware of them.
Great work, my friend! I will be coming back to Gaynors automotive Hazel Dell for my future automotive needs!

Gotta give some more praise to Julio and the crew at the Hazel Dell Gaynor’s. I brought my Subaru in today because the check engine light was on. Gaynor’s inspected the car and found that the check engine code indicated a problem with the catalytic converter. I thought that I’d have to spend big $ replacing or repairing the converter! But Julio researched the issue and found there had been a Subaru recall on this converter issue a few years back. Julio contacted the dealer who sold me the car and explained the problem to their service department. The dealer will replace the culprit at no cost because of the recall! Thank you, Julio, for once again going the extra mile so that my car can go extra miles and so that I have extra Santa money!

My review’s a little long, so in summary, if you need to get your car fixed, do it here. Some of the best work and customer service I have gotten my entire life. Honestly, if the rest of the businesses operated like these guys, the world would be a better place. I am not joking.
I was on my way up to Seattle from Los Angeles when my car, a 2005 Mazda MPV minivan, broke down in the middle of nowhere in Oregon, 50 miles out of Portland at 2AM Saturday. I had to call AAA to tow me to the city and in the morning I called AAA to find out what auto repair shots were around my area. They recommended a few so I took down those names and looked them up on Unilocal.
Gaynor’s on Hwy 99 already had a 5 star rating and after having my car fixed here, I can see why. This is review is dedicated to my man Julio at Gaynor’s who did an EXCELLENT job at making sure everything went right.
1) I was able to rent a car from Enterprise which was right next door for a great price through Gaynor. I was pleasantly surprised at how cheap I was able to get my car rental so I could make it up to Seattle.
2) Gaynor’s was packed with other cars to repair that day but Julio did his best to make sure my car was fixed as soon as possible. I brought my car in on a packed Saturday. They’re closed on Sundays, so they weren’t able to find out what was wrong with my car until Monday. Radiator split and water hose pump was destroyed, so the engine wasn’t getting coolant and it was overheating. They ordered the original manufacturer parts they needed and got it shipped overnight. My car was all fixed up and ready to go Tuesday.
3) Julio was very reassuring and he took a lot of stress off me so I can enjoy my road trip. You can imagine the amount of stress I’m under as I’ve been driving to Seattle from LA and realizing how much money I was going to spend for all this. Nonetheless, he handled everything smoothly for me so I wouldn’t have to think about it.
4) Speaking of updates, this guy was on top of it with communication. He’d give me a call right away if anything happened, or just to let me know things were going great. He always asked for authorization for repairs, rather than just going with them and charging me later. Always there to answer phone calls quickly and answer any questions I had. We must’ve had 15+ calls back and forth, and there was never a time he got impatient or angry with me. He explained everything I wanted to know and understand.
5) As a first time customer, I’m blown away at how honest and welcoming these guys are. Julio knew I was going to be a one time customer since I’m from LA and I probably won’t be back in Vancouver, WA much. I’ve had experiences where mechanics in the past would high-​ball me or treat me terribly because they figured they’d never see me again. but not here at Gaynor’s. They left one hell of a first impression. *thumbs up*
5) I ended up having to fly down from Seattle to LA because I had to be back in town for court and was too tired to drive back down. This is where Julio goes above and beyond the call of duty. His only job was to make sure my car was fixed. However, I wanted to ship my car down and Julio helped coordinate all the details so I didn’t have to be back in Vancouver. After it got picked up, he even called me to let me know the transporter took the car and called a few days later to make sure I got my car. (the transporter didn’t even tell me he picked up my car… jeez)
My car is back home in LA with me now and it is running perfectly. Oh, I should mention that Gaynor’s offered me their 3 year warranty where if it breaks down again, they’ll cover the repairs. I won’t be able to use it because I’m so far away, but this is a great reason for locals to get service from Gaynor’s.

I had my car to out this last Friday and I was pretty certain it was the alternator. Had AAA tow it to Gaynor’s at midnight and left my key in their provided envelope with notes on what I thought was wrong and needed some. They opened at 8am on Saturday morning and I got a call from them at 8:10 saying that they had my car with the technician and it was being diagnosed. I was so relieved and thankful that they were so on it and already fixing the problem. They called me an hour later with the estimate and it was done by 5pm. Not only is my car running AMAZING but they ALSO cleaned my whole car! The headlights, the exterior, the rims & interior! I was blown away! Such wonderful service and such nice people. Julio was the one on the phone helping me all day and I couldn’t have asked for better service! Having just moved here I was worried about finding a good, reliable and fair car place and I have to say o think I found one I’ll be using from now on! Thank you so much again!

We took our CRV here mainly because we needed it repaired ASAP, but it was already after hours and this place had the option of online appointment scheduling. What a lucky pick! They did the work needed quickly and let us know about somethings we’d probably want to get done in the next six months or so without trying to hard sell us about it. Also the price for the work done was very fair.
We will definitely be using Gaynor’s for any future work on our cars and I would recommend them to anyone.

I’ve been going to Gaynor’s on Highway 99 for the few times I’ve needed service over the past few years and have had nothing but excellent service from the friendly and amazingly capable Julio and Brandon at the front desk to the complete (and clean) work done by the mechanics.
The free wi-​fi in the waiting area and free rides to and from home have always been pleasant, too. A marvelous outfit overall.

Car repair is like a root canal. Nobody wants it, we all try to not think about it.
When you get to the point where it’s required, it’s usually needed immediately.
There goes the old vacation fund.
I know most of you live on the other side of the river. Having said that, if you find yourself broken down on I-​5 near Vancouver, Salmon Creek or Hazel Dell, try this place first.
Gaynor’s used a 3 tiered approach to my problems;
1– what I absolutely needed to do to get my vehicle running again (water pump, a few other things),
2– things that I will need to attend to fairly quickly (in this case, front brakes, serpentine belt, a few other things),
3– stuff I need to worry about later (tranny flush, etc).
I felt like I was being advised as opposed to upsold. I appreciate that.
I took him up on all the things on the first 2 tiers.
It all ran me about 1500 dollars. Alot? I dunno. Cars is expensive.
I know that the auto repair industry has a somewhat un-​savory reputation.
Not Gaynor’s, though. These folks are all right by me.
