Kurt Rylander, a registered patent attorney and veteran of thousands of court appearances, negotiations, lawsuits, and transactions, opened his own firm in 1999 after practicing law in Washington DC and Seattle. His desire was to provide sophisticated legal services in an efficient an proactive manner in the areas of intellectual property, business formation and disputes, licensing and transactions, and litigation, trials and appeals.

Mr. Rylander graduated from the University of Washington, and received his juris doctor with cum laude honors from Lewis and Clark Law School, where he was appointed to and served on law review. Prior to opening his firm, Mr. Rylander practiced law in Washington DC, where he handled numerous law suits against the public and private entities. He has tried numerous jury trials to verdict and been to court thousands of times. He has handled cases of patent, trademark, and copyright infringement, and unfair competition, as well as commercial litigation in Federal courts, among others. He has drafted and prosecuted patent, trademark and copyright applications. He regular guest lectures at Washington State University on Negotiation and the Law. He served as Lawyer Representative to the Ninth Circuit from the Western District of Washington. He is currently a Trustee of the Clark County Bar Association and Chair of the Superior Court Bench/Bar Committee. He is a member of Rotary.
