Sedona at Bridgecreek

We recently moved out of Sedona, breaking our lease. First let’s start out by saying, the only thing good about this place is the maintenance crew! They are great and very nice. Other than that I was not please. First, when we signed our lease Comcast cable was included, then they decided to take it away (only perk of living there). Everything was outdated for the price we paid. My washer and dryer were from the early 90’s.
When we moved out we got a bill a week later for almost $ 900 to replace carpet and vinyl. She told us we had 10 days to pay it or it will go to collections. For one, legally you can’t send someone to collections in 10 days so she was lying to me. Then when I asked what our down payment went to, she said cleaning. I was beyond frustrated. After we paid the redulous amount, I asked for all the receipts and I still haven’t receive some of the documents I asked for.
The way business is ran is redulous and I don’t recommend this place.
I did like that the office crew, till they became money hungry.

The first review got it spot on. We moved in last August from out of state and were glad to get a corner, 2×2, upstairs apartment on the edge of the «greenbelt» for a steal ($ 960/​mo)! There were two mature trees in the front and back of our unit the offered the perfect amount of privacy and natural light that we couldn’t get anywhere else. This benefit allowed us to overlook the hastily completed «renovations» to give the look (in pictures) that our place wasn’t born in the 90s. Also, the neighborhood was very safe. The community is full of newlyweds, young families, singles, and life-​long renters that we haven’t had an issue with. Of course, it’s also full of the family cats that take occasional sun bathes on your car, but not too often.
Well, spring has sprung and the «greenbelt» behind our apartment has turned into a construction zone. The tree in front has been trimmed up, and the tree behind has been chopped down. I’m now staring into the soon-​to-​be window of a new townhouse outside our patio and the privacy is gone. In our mind, our place has depreciated in value and the sun is shining brighter on the crooked cabinets and chipped baseboards that were quickly painted.
We’re within a few months of our expiring lease and have been informed that our rent WILL increase, still below the current «market» value, but more than it’s worth in our eyes. We’re disappointed to be considering moving again, but the construction, the lack of communication from management regarding construction, and the increase in rent, has us considering otherwise. For less than $ 100 more per month, we could be living in a brand new apartment that was properly renovated and would be well worth the price. Wished we would have signed somewhere else earlier!

When you’re getting a tour you’ll be sold. Once you move in, you start noticing that it’s not as great as it seemed. The renovations weren’t done very well. We’ve had ants and mice, which I guess is par for the course in an older complex. They did quickly take care of the issues though. There is no car wash area, the fitness center is very small and limited. No playground or dog run. The tanning bed is outdated and doesn’t work very well. No drawers in the master bathroom vanity. Limited parking, and you have to pay extra if you want a carport. You do get free Comcast cable but the buildings are so old that when we got internet it can’t reach in the whole 2 bedroom apartment bc of metal studs in the walls. Overall it’s in a safe and quiet area and is located near a lot of things. It’s just not the best out there for the price. I wish we had looked more before signing a lease here. I won’t be re signing that’s for sure.
