The brunette known as «B» will help you with whatever you need! She helped me with a project for my students and helped me save money. She was quick to find more help for the areas she did not work in. The man named David was also a huge help and very friendly. 5 stars for you all!!!

Employees at Home Depot are typically some of the nicest and most helpful people I’ve ever encountered in a retail store. A gentleman (can’t remember his name!) helped me out in the water heater section. When he wasn’t sure of an answer to a question, he contacted an expert. He even set up to have someone come by to give me a free estimate.

On 7÷8÷2015 we ordered two sets of French doors from your store on 192^nd ave in Vancouver, Wa. When the doors were scheduled to be installed the installer called in sick that morning so we rescheduled. When he did show up he realized the doors were the wrong size and had too many holes bored in them. He returned them to the store and it took another week and 3 people to figure out what they had done wrong when the order was placed. The doors were ordered again but this time they were going to be twice the price as what we were told. We agreed to pay more and got some money taken off due to the mistake. Three weeks later we get a call that the doors are in only to be told there is only one installer and it will be two more weeks before they can install them. We have been making payments on these doors (home depot credit card) and still do not have them. This process has been a complete nightmare, the store operations manager was no help at all when I called her. So unprofessional for a company this size. We are scheduled for install October 8^th after that we will be closing our Home Depot Credit Card.

Batteries! I needed batteries! What a better place to go to? Home Depot right?! Welp you guessed it! They have them! Walked around the store trying to find them… No luck, so I asked. One guy didn’t know so he asked his coworker and he knew. They were upfront. Workers were friendly and helpful (even if they didn’t know). This is you one stop shop!

JANICE helped me in carpet and we picked it out & a pad and went to schedule the installation. She told me it was 6 weeks out but that there was a 72 hour carpet avail. I ordered and got the measurements done asap as I was in a huge rush for it. I got the email to schedule & the first available date was June 30. I called & called and finally cancelled my order & after a very difficult customer service experience I got my money back after insisting to talk to a manager. The girl at the customer service desk didn’t know what to do if there wasn’t a bar code apparently. In addition, the first day I picked the carpet out, JANICE made a very rude & inappropriate comment about my twin girls. When I told her we were done having kids and that two girls were fine, she said «well you can just raise one of them as a boy» Unreal. This was a horrible experience to top of an already turbulent situation with repairing a rental property that was destroyed. Never again!!! We wasted a week with this!!!

Not very helpful. I left without finding what I needed. They seem to have anything you might need, but there is no one to help find it with you. I went during early morning and it was not busy.

Been going here for years. Friendly staff in all departments. Prefer the cashiers checking me out rather than the U check which has always resulted in needing and waiting for someone to help you. I would recommend this place and area.

Had to get a new dryer, they hooked a sister up with a credit card right quick and got me the machine in a snap. No interest for 6 months too. Boom. Jim was rad.

Went in looking light bulbs and it didn’t take long for someone to help me, and he couldn’t really help so he pointed me to someone who could. nice people and didnt take as long as i thought.

This store is one of the greatest stores if you’re in construction or trying to build something or even just trying to rent something that has to do with construction. Not just construction but gardening or anything of the outdoors or even remodeling the inside of the house. This store has anything you can think of that has to do with construction or building. I own one up apartment complex and I’m always in the store at least a couple times a month. Everything I’m always looking for hours find there in that pretty decent prices. I would recommend the story to anyone that is looking into fixing something in their house or just building something out of scratch. Also the store has appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, drying machines and many others hope this review helped

When ever i got to this home depot i must say PEDRO has the best customer service i have seen in my life, easy going very welcoming guy and knowledgeable. when im at the store i only go through PEDRO if i see him, just because of his excellent customer service A++++

Always amazing when you get such great service and warranty in the products that you buy. Kelsey and Ben at this location have such a great attitude and smiles on their faces. Just had to thank them so much for helping me with my simple but frustrating warranty repair in my bathroom faucet. After getting a warranty replacement it also leaked and they just took care of it and now I have a different model that does not leak. Thank you both !!

Home Depot is Home Depot. Not much can be said for these gigantic home improvement stores. What can be said is that the majority of the employees I have encountered have been very friendly… but…not as knowledgeable as I would want for construction/​home improvement advice.

When I purchased an item I was told they would need to quality check it and that I had to meet at paid pick up. They had placed a HUGE sticker over the front of the item and when removed left a BIG sticky mess. Since I had already paid for the item I asked for a replacement. My wait was over 2 hours while they found someone to operate a fork lift to get down a replacement.
Customer service seems to be hit and miss.

Home Depot needs to revisit its loss prevention strategy. Multiple times over the years, I have had Home Depot associates at different stores in different states stop me and rudely demand that I give them my receipt because they assume I’ve stolen something.
The most recent occurrence was on Monday (4÷15÷2014) afternoon. I had placed an order of several large items online and picked it up in store.
I had even greeted this particular employee when I walked in. She was standing right next to the customer service desk where I picked up my order. However, as I was on my way out trying to maneuver the extremely heavy shopping cart, she yelled at me, «Hey! I’m going to need to see your receipt.»
If she hadn’t been chatting with her coworker, she would have seen me picking up all of the items I had already paid for from the customer service desk.
I’ve never had Home Depot’s competitors do anything like this to me.
As a past retail employee for department stores and retail outlets, I understand a company’s concern to keep loss down, however, treating your customers like criminals isn’t the way to do it.
I contacted Home Depot corporate directly regarding this issue, and though they responded with an emailed apology, they had Jamie, a member of the management team, call me to discuss the issue.
She politely explained that she can talk to the associate about how I was asked for my receipt, however that it is the door greeter’s job to ask for receipts.
I must point out that this method of loss prevention is only effective when implemented like it is at the large warehouse stores (e.g. Costco, Sam’s Club, BJ’s) where every customer is asked to show their receipt. Although I personally find waiting in line to get out of a store obnoxious, it’s preferable to being singled out as a possible criminal such as in Home Depot’s implementation.
Jamie explained that the store greeter is supposed to ask for every customer’s receipt before they exit the store, however since there is only one store greeter, other people easily exit the store unimpeded when the greeter is stopping one customer, in this case me; a customer who legitimately paid for everything in his cart. If you don’t think that shoplifters are aware of this strategy and wait until the store greeter is distracted with a legitimate customer before exiting Home Depot stores with their stolen goods, Home Depot Corporate is fooling themselves.
It is far better for a company to lose an item here or there than to risk violating a loyal customer’s trust and respect to have them never return again. As I explained to Jamie, my issue with my experience was both the rudeness to how I was treated as well as being singled out while other customers were able to walk out of the store unimpeded.
If Home Depot is going to check for receipts, check for every receipt. Otherwise, management is having store associates select particular customers whether it be for their appearance, their age, their gender or their ethnicity, and that’s not an appropriate approach for any company.
I understand that Jamie can’t change corporate policy which is why I attempted to contact corporate directly. Having Jamie call me on the phone and attempt to manage the issue with no power to resolve my frustrations or adjust store policy is a waste of both her and my time, as I could tell she was frustrated with me not being happy with corporate policy where her only response could be «I must follow corporate policy.»
As I explained to Jamie, the Vancouver Home Depot is my most convenient home product location, but if I have to drive to Lowes, I will. This experience has motivated me to find two separate Lowes’ locations which aren’t located as far away as I thought.
So, Home Depot, here’s my suggestion: please consider changing corporate policy. Either implement a strategy that effectively and fairly checks every customer’s receipt or stop checking altogether.
UPDATE — 10/​11/​2014
In addition to the above issue continuing to remain unresolved, I wanted to add that my credit card was one of the ones stolen in the recent attack on Home Depot’s servers. Fortunately, I was informed by Chase that my credit card information had been compromised and that a new card would be issued, but this is just yet another in a long list of signs demonstrating how Home Depot continues on a downhill slide of terrible customer service and a complete lack of dedication to the ideals this company used to stand for.
If Home Depot was bought out by Lowes or just disappeared from the face of the planet entirely, I, for one, would not miss the company at all.
UPDATE — 11/​15/​2014
As if I couldn’t learn, I have once again been disappointed by Home Depot — this time via their online website — it won’t accept any of my credit cards. I guess after Home Depot lost my credit card information over the summer, they’ve locked down my account and now I can’t place any orders online. At least, they’re consistently bad, right?

I run a 121 unit apartment complex and did a ton of searching and testing out different stores (Home Depots and lowes and even sears) to do our remodels and these guys are very professional, helpful, knowledgable and some of the friendliest people I found. I won’t be doing business with anyone else.

I love hardware stores. I also love that I can find almost anything I need in one big location. I have to say though, that I was a little disappointed with the service, and I don’t believe it has anything to do with lack of employees. It seemed like every time I turned a corner, there was another person in an orange apron. Unfortunately they were either to busy talking with another employee, or they seemed to busy to ask if I needed anything.
I’m giving the four stars because this was a one time event. In the past they have always been so eager to help. I hope that this isn’t there new way of doing things.

Home depot seems to have everything! Tonight we needed some random light bulb that really looks like a pen and they of course had it! If you watch the deals you can get good deals — especially around big holiday weekends! This Home Depot has always been very friendly from ordering carpet for our new house to helping me build a project that I just had an «Idea» of :) We always come back!!!
