Vancouver Car Company has been in business since 2004. We have a BBB rating of A+ and if you’ve done business with us you would know why we are rated so high. A car-​fax is available on every used car either by accessing it on line at our web site www​.van​cou​ver​carco​.com or you can request a copy when you are in the store. We are one of the few used car dealers that have a service department with certified mechanics. We inspect all of our used cars prior to sale availability and include a 1 month or 3000 mile limited power train warranty with every retail auto purchase. When you bring your vehicle in for service you can relax in the customer waiting area which is furnished with cable TV, couch, chairs, coffee, water, vending machines and a restroom.

History

Established in 2004.

The owner of Vancouver Car Company started working for Vancouver Mazda Dodge in the late 80’s. He was promoted to General Manager in the late 90’s and bought in for a minority %. In 2003 he decided to sell his interest in Vancouver Mazda Dodge and start a used car business. In 2004 he opened Vancouver Car Company at 6913 NE Hwy 99. AS her business grew an opportunity came up to acquire a Mitsubishi new car line. He changed his infrastructure by bringing in more employees, opening a service and parts department and and the appropriate new car software and hardware. His busines continued to see growth until 2008 when the economy hit the auto industry. He decided to let the Mitsubishi go and down size his company to a used car store in order to ride out the difficult economy. In 2009 the property at 9333 NE Hwy 99 became available for sale and he decided to purchase the property and move the company to the new location.

Business Owner

Pete started in the car business in the late 80’s at Vancouver Mazda Dodge and worked his way up to become part owner and General Manager by the late 90’s. In 2004 he decided to open Vancouver Car Company as sole owner. In 2007 he added Mitsubishi and changed the name to Pete Cann Mitsubishi. Then in 2009 he went back to used cars, changed the name back to Vancouver Car Company and moved locations to 9333 NE Hwy. He still runs the company similar to a new car store with a service department and certified mechanics.
