Vancouver Glass

I would NOT recommend Vancouver Glass to anyone. The manager complained constantly about not getting the right fit for my windows and matching the grids. It took them 3 months to get it right. The manager would complain constantly: «I’m loosing money on your windows. I’m working too many hours to come out to your house. I don’t get paid much. etc.»
The worst part is when he put the glass in the windows, he scraped the window casings and sash. I saw him put the window on the concrete, but thought he would not work on it there. But, now I have a white window with black scratches all over it and they (manager and owner) REFUSE to fix it ! My advise is to NOT buy from them. I wish I would have read the reviews.

Worst company ever. We placed an order for a window and the day before the install they decided the window was too big and they didn’t want to do it and never told us. When I called to ask were their contractors were they were so rude! Don’t waste your time or money on these jerks!

Vancouver Glass walked me through the process of ordering a large piece of glass for a custom table, from selection of material to thickness to edging. I can’t imagine how the process could have been made simpler or faster, and the turn-​around on the order was also very simple and fast. I’m not going to say where they agreed to deliver the thing, because I’m sure it was a hassle and I don’t want too sign them up for doing that too often, *but* they gracefully put up with the hassle. The piece was also a good 15−20% cheaper than other estimates I’d gotten.
I’d definitely work with these guys again. Great company.

If you have an F150 and leaky rear window you know how hard it is to get these windows fixed. This has been a big problem with Ford for many years. We first had MS Glass fix it and then it leaked right after we got it back. Then took it back and they resealed it again but it only lasted about two years before it leaked again. They made a mess of the window and I would never go back there again.
We then took it to Vancouver Glass on 59^th and Scottie was the person who made sure this window got fixed correctly. Scottie had a big mess to work with from what MS Glass had done to it before. Some of the holes were drilled out too big and it took some effort to replace the rear window. They fixed the window and haven’t had any issues since. Scottie“s customer service was excellent.
I have a 1998 F150 and Ford wanted 250.00 for a replacement third brake light (the one that goes on top of the rear window.) They haven’t changed or improved on the design with the replacement light. Instead, I found a good looking replacement LED light on Amazon for only 54.99. It fit perfectly and easy to install yourself. The electrical plug was exactly the same so I didn’t need to splice anything. Here is the light:

Shower Doors. Vancouver installed amazing new all glass shower doors in our new house. They are amazing and being able to over come the show design was great.
Having the correct design is import to all. We call other glass companies only to be disappointed by poor service, very high prices and no response. Vancouver Glass was on time, professional and worked within our budget.

Needed all of my house windows rescreened. 16 Screens done and returned in 1 day and at an awesome price. They were running a 20% discount. Super customer service. Highly recommend the Orchard store.

We will be using Vancouver Glass for all our future glass needs. Honesty and integrity are hard to come by. We thought we needed a new windshield but the technician was honest and we didn’t actually need the windshield after all. He was very gracious even though the new windshield had already been delivered to the shop.

Took my car in for 2 rock chips on my windshield. They fixed them both in 20 mins for free. Excellent customer service, will definitely go back when I need to replace the windshield

12 years ago I had a bad windshield install job from a sheister place in Portland that left my windshield leaking and the trim bent. I went into Vancouver Glass and they showed me the problem, then fixed it. Since that time I have been a loyal customer, and have had at least half a dozen windshields replaced, twice side door auto glass replaced, a difficult classic car done, a screen door fixed, and multiple pieces of custom glass cut. Every time I get a fair price, and good work. In 2006 I needed a difficult to find windshield and the manager spent a long time hunting it down, finally finding it in a warehouse in Virginia! This is the only place I will go for all my auto glass, and other glass. The same manager has been there since the first time I walked in, and he is still doing a great job. These days, such continuity and expertise is nice to find.

If I could give Vancouver Glass zero stars, I would. I’m only glad we took our door in to be repaired a month ahead of when I needed it, because it took them about 3 weeks to get it done, and they were beyond rude through the entire experience.
The sales person (and from what it sounds like, he is the owner) was extremely rude on the phone when my husband called to inquire about getting one pane of glass replaced. Brand new customers, we should have just found another place. When he dropped off the door, my husband paid ahead of time, something the owner said he doesn’t usually see. He was told it’d be a week to repair it. When 10 days went by, we called and the same rude person picked up and first could not find the order, then said they’d forgotten to order the glass. Another week went by and still no call. We call and they say they’ve left a ton of messages. Then find out they wrote down my husband’s number as a phone number that starts with a 1, not a 7… and that wasn’t any indicator to them that it was their error. Or that dialing a number that starts with a 1 isn’t going to lead to a voicemail.
When my husband picked up the door, the owner was his usual delightful self «oh you’re the guy who doesn’t pick things up promptly…» as if it were his fault they forgot to fill the PREPAID order, wrote down a phone number that doesn’t make sense, and didn’t even complete the order in a reasonable amount of time. I need to replace 7 windows in my new house and will learn to cut glass myself to avoid this place. We work hard for our money and want to support local businesses, but this is one I decidedly cannot support.
If you want your job done correctly, promptly, and without anyone being a complete douchecanoe about performing an advertised service for your hard-​earned money, avoid this place.

Over the past year, I had purchased two pieces of furniture that needed a glass surface to be custom made — one oval (imperfect oval) and one circle. I brought in the pieces of furniture, within a few hours, they created the surfaces and exceeded my expectations on the quality of the workmanship and the prices were awesome!
They made the custom oval shaped glass to perfection — I was pleasantly stunned :) In fact, the glass was so perfect for the imperfect oval furniture, that it could only fit one way into the oval surface, making a perfect surface and perfectly level.
Thank you Vancouver Glass! :) I know sometimes things can get busy, but that is just the nature of having a business in demand. Good Job!

This place wasted my time!
I called at 3:15 and explained my situation which the guy told me to come on in and they would check it out for free and we can go from there. I explained i was going to hit some traffic and wouldn’t make it until a little after 4, seeing they close at 5 I asked him if that would be a problem and he said no. I came in a little after 4 and the manager (forget his name, only guy there tho) seemed rushed and busy and told me «I need to install this window in and blah blah, could you come back in 30 minutes» I told him yeah sounds great, I need to run an errand real quick anyways. I come back in 30 minutes and ask how everything is going and the guy seems even more rushed and was like «I still have to put this window in and blah blah and if you wanted me to help you … FOR FREE … (making me feel like the victim even though he blatantly told me on the phone it would be free and I definitely wasn’t trying to swindle my way into free help, just going with what he offered) That I would have to wait until like 10 or 11pm… and frankly I cant help you today!» I told him that I was very disappointed that I wasted my time rushing in traffic across town to get to his establishment only to be shut down … twice!
I feel they completely wasted my time! I went down there, then came back, and then was shut down completely! I will NEVER go back to this place, and feel I was extremely respectful during the whole process only to my night jumbled around and end up with nothing! The guy seemed very nice on the phone obviously trying to get business in there, but once potential business was in there he did not treat it very well.
Save yourself time and go to someone more honest and who will actually work on your car /​window /​glass when they say they will!
