We all know how hard it is to find a trustworthy mechanic.
The brakes on our 2008 Pilot were acting up. We had the brake pads and rotors replaced just a year earlier, so I was surprised to be having a problem. I dropped off the car and crossed my fingers. I received a call that they gave it a test drive and that the brake pads and the rotors were actually in very good shape, and replacing them would be an unnecessary expense. Alan then explained why the brakes were «pulsating» and what he could do to help. Alan was friendly, professional and most importantly, honest! I’ll definitely be using A & J Auto again.

Walked in for a simple NJ state inspection. The staff showed that they cared. They really cleaned my windshield before putting the new sticker. Previously and in other places, it was botched up in 2 seconds. Here, the staff, cleaned the residue with alcohol and de-greaser to remove the former sticker glue residue and then went at it with Windex!
Alan the owner is very nice. I will be 300% back for more work as they seem very trustworthy. It is in the small things where they don’t make that much margin that one sees the kind of service these small businesses have.
