I love this charity! I used to volunteer regularly when I lived in Los Angeles; it is one of the things I miss most now that I’ve moved. Great people, a worthy cause, and free pizza on Volunteer Saturdays!

These are really good people. A Window Between Worlds is based in Venice, CA but they’ve helped battered and abused women across the country — thousands of them and their children transition away into more normal lives via safe housing and an art healing process whereby moms and kids get rid of their demons by painting and drawing.
The Southbay Cruisers (
)recently held a ride to support them. They are always looking for food, and clothing donations as well as art supplies (crayons, paints, drawing pencils etc) for their art healing program.
And you can check out much of their art work in their art museum in Venice. Pay them a visit, it’s very worthwhile.
