Boardwalk Yogurt

The yogurt here is just ordinary and not anything unusual. There were a few flavors, but kind of limited in variety .
My yogurt cup was very small and EXPENSIVE!
Also, the lady in charge wasn’t very friendly. She told me not to reuse the sample cups which I completely understand for health reasons. Also there is way to approach your customers and how to talk to them.
Finally, when I went to pay the lady was watching the cashier in training .
I totally understand he is in training .
They both were not very friendly .
The place was totally empty. I would never come here again. It’s not a good place. Poor customer service !!

first off– the blonde chick looking after the shop was abrasive and unpleasant .
the yogurt itself was tasty, but the toppings, the toppings were not up to par, only a few pieces of sad pineapple and some canned peaches ugh. the cookie dough pieces were sweaty and not even broken up. nothing had labels! and what labels there were are obviously from awhile ago because they were incorrect or half torn off! also the gummy bears tasted old.

This place was not what I was expecting, I don’t know if it was an off day or what.
First of all, the girl behind the counter was ‘hella’ rude. She was babysitting a child who sat on the countertop — which I don’t have a problem with, but since she was so unprofessional, I’ll add it to my list of problems with this place. The lady was rude and lacked all personal skills.
The lack of options was a downer, but since I really needed an outlet to charge my phone, I decided to pay and get a random frozen yogurt. The yogurt had an off taste to it — I got the white chocolate mousse.
Don’t even get me started on the outlet issue, I politely asked after purchasing my yogurt in the empty store, if I could use one of the many outlets to charge my phone. The lady working then points out a dirty extension chord in the corner that I can use. Whatever, luckily got my phone charged and now I am able to write a review! Go get your dessert elsewhere!

Always a delicious assortment of flavors and exceptional customer service! I always look forward coming in and chatting with Rachael. She is such a pleasure with her sparkling personality.

Yogurt is okay, good topping selection. Clerk could be a little more friendly. She was pretty rude for having a customer service job.

Love the self serving, and the ice taste wonderful. Recommend!

As a lover of yoghurt shops I do love this one due to location. I live near by so like to come and then walk along the beach
Personally I prefer yogurtland due to a better selection and quality of the toppings but they do give it a good go here
Yogurt wise they change quite often which is good and there’s a good selection and they always taste great
Just wish they could make their toppings abit better, the cookie dough is always like mush and they don’t do cheesecake bites either! Do have sauces though so credit for that
As with other yogurt shops they are cheap and if you check in on Unilocal you get 15% off so thumbs up from me!

This place was redonkulous. They serve the best yogurt, especially this ‘Car Wash’ style, seventies chocolate yogurt and often two dudes play just outside that we affectionately call Fogurt, or Funlkin’ O’Gurt depending on which two dudes are playing, as they skillfully combine the essence of funk with yogurt. Great place to gorge yourself with low fat products that are tasty and to watch some of the earth’s most interesting people roll or stroll by while wearing some of California’s finest outfits.

Smaller flavor selection than I would have hoped for but it was yummy and the topping bar was plentiful. Friendly service and store was clean.

At the end of the boardwalk, i liked the different types of flavors and even syrups. Better option to the soft serve ice cream places.

This place is absolutely bomb! Great people inside, I mean GREAT people. Everyone’s welcome to come in and try a free sample of whatever flavor catches your eye. I recommend doing this.
A taste of this frozen yogurt reminds me of what it is to be alive, to be seventeen and in love for the first time, to be hunting with your old man in northern Wyoming, to be holding your first born child in your arms, to laugh and cry and dream all at the same time. It’s one of the most beautiful things Venice has to offer. Beautiful.
I recommend the coffee flavored yogurt… that is, if you like coffee.

My favorites are the coffee and the pistachio. Great selection of toppings you can fill, friendly guy works there, place is clean and bright.
All these reviews about sittings and chairs, seriously people you are in Venice Beach, who needs sittings when you can either walk around watch people perform while eating your delicious yogurt or go sit on the sand or the grass. After all this is A Beach.
I’m glad they opened this place. Much better than all those heavy sugary
ice-​creams they sell on the beach. Yogurts at this place are very light and not too sweet.
Every time I am in Venice Beach, I visit this place and indulge my beach cravings :-)

Great place to get some froyo on a hot day or even on a chilly night. You can get as many samples as you want and the price is factually very reasonable compared to other froyo places (lookin at you pinkberry).

As far as Venice boardwalk goes its amazing how clean this place is inside! They don’t have a 1000 options but what they do have is really good. And filling the small cup it was almost $ 4 but with the checkin discount it was about $ 2 and some change. Which is this day and age having a large cup of frozen yogurt for $ 2 makes anyway worthwhile :)

Wonderful selection of yogurts and toppings. Can’t wait for them to bring the mango sorbet back — it’s fantastic.
It’d be awesome if there was more seating available and if there were signs pointing to where the yogurt cups were. They’re all the way in the back, which was confusing to me the first time I went. At any rate, I’ve been back since then. :)

Came here to get some frozen yogurt.

Saved a few cents on some good old fashioned froyo.

Convenient location after a nice bike ride on the boardwalk! But yo the kids working here just don’t freakin care.
PROs:
* Convenient location!
* The yogurt and additions were actually pretty tasty
CONs:
* Seating is poor. They have a few seats lining the inside of the shop. Why they don’t have a couple a chair set up outside in the sun, I really have no clue.
* Topping selection is pretty small.
* Messy. While sampling yogurt plenty of the machines had melted yogurt sitting at the bottom of the machine.
* One of the kids running the shop were screwing around on their phone the whole time. The girl in the shop was running back and forth to the machines to «sample» the yogurt.
* The guy working the register was just very «whatever.» Spent his time playing on his phone, or spacing out while starring at the window. Didn’t really feel welcome inside… but I guess with poor seating they want you in and out anyways
* Price per ounce is on the higher side.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
Typical frozen yogurt place but with less toppings and poor customer service. If you’re in the mood, and you spot it… then it’ll feed your craving. Don’t expect this place to be your favorite yogurt place though. I’d assume this place opened relatively recently because they have a long way to go in terms of management.

My first visit to Boardwalk:
1. Love the store front, bright orange definitely got my attention.
2. Staffs are super friendly. They greet the customers when they come in. Have big smile on their faces. Feel very welcomed.
3. Store is clean & organized. The staffs constantly clean the counter & machines.
4. 10 choices of the frozen yogurt. My favorite is the Cake Batter! The staffs said they will change the flavors from time to time. Looking forward to try out new flavor.
5. There are tons of topping choices. The staffs are constantly restocking.
Overall, great customer service & management!

I stopped in today. I thought it was a bit strange that you must wait for a person on staff to do your samples for you (ever so cautiously I might add — kind of comical). It seemed like the most they wanted to let you try is two flavors as after two she just walked away. The other thing I noticed is how about a big welcome to our new business from everyone that works there. People relations go a long way! That all being said the yogurt was good and the toppings were very organized and good as well. I wish this new venture all the best!

The Venice boardwalk is known for attracting tourists, gawkers, shoppers, weightlifters, wine/​beer guzzlers and snackers. Though a freshly painted yogurt shop? It looked rather out of the ordinary among the usual Venice boardwalk storefronts.
Stopped in my tracks. Went inside, was it new? Indeed, it was and aha, their opening day. Why no GRAND OPENING sign or discounts?
From inside the store looking out, a constant stream of people. Great location. Also a parking lot view of the sand further in the distance. Far away, the blue Pacific Ocean.
Upon inquiry, found out they planned to open about 10 a.m. & close around sunset. Actually they closed about 5:30 p.m. today. When spring and summer rolls around, they envisioned staying open later. Daylight + warmth = good for business.
Not sure what the zoning regulations are, but if some tables and chairs were set up OUTSIDE, it would be much more comfortable than standing around. Not everyone can fit inside this compact shop.
If they were to change their spoons from plastic to alternative biodegradable material, that would win over a star too.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Unclear if the current sampling procedure will continue. In order to obtain samples, one must ask the staff for help and then the staff dispensing the sample (s) hands it over. Well, one way for the yogurt machines to stay clean. What is going to happen this summer when this place gets packed?
Looking forward to trying new flavors as the seasons change. Out of all the flavors available currently, cinnamon roll & chocolate evoked bygone memories.
Just hope to see this restaurant with a health grade rating soon.
