Opened in 1982, Creative Framing is a family owned business serving the Venice/​Sarasota area for 32 years. Linda Thompson, an award winning Certified Picture Framer has won a lot of local & state awards in her designs of picture framing in the industry. We provide museum quality along with «Creativity» to each custom framed piece to last for years to come. Conservation Framing is Our Standard.

Originally from New York, my family had visited Venice for vacation many years and in 1967, my parents decided to move to Venice. I grew up loving the beach and all the wonderful sea shells and the beauty of nature.

In 1982, I opened Creative Framing & Gifts in Venice and have been in the same location for 32 years. I found out that I could incorporate my love of shells with my desire to pursue my craftwork while operating the picture frame business — these two merge beautifully. I am a Certified Picture Framer that specialize is museum quality on Needlework, Paintings, Memorabilia/​Shadowboxes, Mirrors, Photos, and more. It’s the little details that can make a huge difference. We take your items from simple to spectacular. The right choice in custom framing can create a heirloom that will last many lifetimes.
