What sets her apart is her focus on the holistic apprach, aiming to address a treatment plan which includes nutrition and life style attunement. Acupuncture, acupressure, cupping, nutrition for wellness and wellness programs may be applied.

This holistic practice has evolved from sports medicine to one that see’s patients who have symptoms related to perimenopause, digestive challenges, irregular menstruation, sinus congestion, autoimmune conditions, chemotherapy side effects and much more. By continuing to live her truth, Dr. Lisa’s approach is a reflection of the wisdom gained from life experince. Originally a pre-​med student interested in traditional Western medicine, Dr. Lisa fell in love with acupuncture after experiencing great benefits from her own Traditional Chinese Medicine sessions. A trained Chiropractor as well, Dr. Lisa pulls from her education but does not practice Chiropractic any longer. She chose her passion– to marry acupuncture, nutrition, and the mind-​body wellness. Her love for what she does reflects in her warmth and smile.

In 2001, Dr. Lisa Upshaw enrolled in Southern California University of Health Sciences where she received a Doctoral degree in Chiropractic in and a Master’s in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine, in their dual degree program in 2004.

Dr. Lisa calls herself a holistic health practitioner because what she does goes beyond a typical chiropractic or acupuncture session. Her intention is not just to help alleviate symptoms but show others how they can become their own best healer by learning how to pay attention to their body’s signals and approaching wellness care from a mind-​body-​spirit perspective.
