They changed their name to Italiano’s. … I was told same owners as ilpanificio Sarasota. … This was the worst evening ever… They probably should change their name every 6 month… We wouldn’t be back…

Great New York/New Jersey style pizza in Florida. The pizza was thin crust and we’ll done which is exactly how pizza should be made. If you enjoy good pizza and are in the area, definitely give this location a chance.

What a great surprise to find excellent thin crust pizza in Venice. This was some of the best pizza I have had since I’ve left New York. I have been out in Southern California for seven years and I forgot how good pizza can be. This was an excellent reminder.

Another excellent experience at IL Panaficcio’s just down from Publix in the Jacaranda/Rt. 41 strip mall. We had mushroom and sausage pizza thin and crispy and also a «to die for» chicken parmeggiano sandwich. Their sauce is amazing. Pizza is so well done and not greasy, you can hold a slice by the rim and the it won’t «flop» in the middle. YUM. We cannot get enough of this place. Consistently delish food, friendly and attentive service and great prices. A major keeper!

They have Manhattan Special which is a Pure Espresso Coffee Soda. I haven’t seen this drink since I lived in NYC. Love this stuff. Pizza was good. Mozz sticks good too. I ordered a salad also which came with cranberries and I forget which cheese and old limp lettuce not even romaine. Service there is like being trapped in the twilight zone. But it’s a good stop for my espresso soda fix and a good thin style pizza.

Finally, a spot that can give me good pizza like back in Jersey. On a Saturday afternoon, we stopped here because Panera was packed. Boy were we glad that happened. Their Sicilian slices are HUGE, and the sauce was just right(not too seasoned, not bland), with just the right amount of cheese. I give the server props for dealing with the cranky snowbirds complaining about everything while we were there too. I would have snapped but she kept her cool. So, I found somewhere to grab a great slice of Sicilian pie that’ll make me feel at home, not homesick.

This review is for the location in Venice on the 41 bypass. That’s the only one I have tried. If you want great pizza, then you must come here! They sell it by the slice, so you don’t have to wait long at lunch to start biting into a slice of heaven! Personally, I’m a fan of the cheese pizza but I’m sure the others must be good also. They are super friendly and the place is clean. I hope this place does well because it’s close to my work and I LOVE going there for lunch… I think you would, too! I’d be careful putting too much stock in the first two bad reviews. They sounded like disgruntled employees or someone trying to run a smear campaign. I’d hate to see anyone missing out on the chance to eat great pizza! Enjoy!

Not sure what happen to the previous rater but our dinner was very good. We had the cold antipasto and it was fresh with nice meats and cheeses. We took half home for lunch the next day. Next was the pepperoni pizza. Very thin crust and nice and crispy. Over excellent pie. I will return for more.

Disappointing. I was looking for a good Italian sub. I’m still looking. There was a steady stream of customers all ordering pizza. I heard people raving about the pizza. I should have gone next door to Subway for the sub. We got a mozzarella salad. Visually it looked great. The taste was blah. We also got fried zucchini sticks with marinara sauce. They were good. My wife ordered a sub sandwich with sausage, peppers, and onions. She liked it. The problem was with my Italian sub. The bread was stale — hard as a rock. We complained to the owner and he just said that they bake their bread fresh daily. The bread on my wife’s sandwich was good. The owner said the difference was that her sandwich was hot and mine was cold. That was NOT the reason. The sandwich also lacked cheese(what?) and dressing. It was just meat, lettuce, and tomato on a rock. I asked the owner for mayonnaise and hots. He offered me dry red pepper flakes, jalapeños, or whole hot peppers. The waitress offered to make things right but that didn’t include fresh bread. Ordering pizza would have taken twenty more minutes. There was no fixing things at that point. The service was decent but we spent $ 40 bucks and I never got my sub. They never offered to remove the charge.
