I wanted to purchase something for my wife and I have NEVER been successful at that.
We end up taking it back for something she likes. Well Sofia changed that for me.
I told her a bit about my wife and she had something in mind.

I was recently in to pick something up for my wife for her birthday. First off, Tinelli recognized my son from when I was in two years ago for Mother’s Day and was surprised at how big he’s gotten… Then, the bracelet I liked was not in stock and wound up being a special order with a lead time that put it in my hands past her birthday. Tinelli and Sophia worked out a way to turn it around in time and I was able to give her the actual bracelet I picked out on her birthday.
This wasn’t the first time we have bought a piece of jewelry here and surely won’t be the last.

I love Sofia’s jewelry! I own several of her pieces and I get countless compliments every time I wear them. Truly remarkable! Can’t wait for her to design my engagement ring!!!
If you are looking for a designer who can create a unique piece, she’s the one! Super friendly, knowledgeable and very creative when it comes to working on a budget.

Sofia is amazing! My fiancé and I are a young couple and at a usual jewelry store no one pays attention to us because we may not shell out the big bucks. But Sofia was the biggest help and I could not be happier with my engagement ring! Will be returning soon for our wedding bands!

I love, love. love this jewelry store and designer, Sofia Kaman. Her designs and antique collections are stunning and unique. Sofia and Tanelli create such a friendly atmosphere in which to shop. They are patient, kind, and really want to please each customer. My husband now knows that any birthday or anniversary gift he wants to buy me will be from this gem, (pun intended,) of a store. I highly recommend!

We got my engagement ring and wedding bands here, and every time I or my fiancé walk in, it feels like family. And we do pop in regularly because we live right around the corner from Kamofie.
The engagement ring came right from the display case, but my wedding bands were custom, and they turned out AMAZINGLY.
Warm, understanding, attentive, PATIENT – Sofia & Tanelli are all of this and more.
Plus, the jewelry is GA-​REAT.
I like to go in and just try on a particular paiir of gold bangles (with lots of gems & diamonds in them), and Tanelli always lets me even though she knows I’m not buying anytime soon because I’m not made of money yet.

Thanks Sophia and the rest of Team Kamofie. We were looking at rings by Megan Thorne and were referred to Kamofie & Co to help with the design and stone. Sophia was super patient and sweet during our whole process which ended up taking upwards of 6 months given our scheduling and stone searching. I couldn’t be happier with how our ring turned out and the great service provided by Sophia.

Have to leave a review on this place. I almost got engaged a few years ago but decided I wasn’t ready and needed some space of my own and ended up getting my own place (see reviews for a great landlord in Hollywood).
However, when and if I ever do get engaged, this will be the place I send my fiancé to get my ring. There is something unique and artistic about the designs both carried and created by Kamofie & Company. They aren’t a typical jewelry store in any respect, in some ways this place reminds me of a toned down H. Stern because of the designs carried which range from organic and fairy-​tale like to down right dramatic.
Prices always seem very reasonable too. Your dollars go a long way here and you can get something customized to your style.

What concerns me most about this place is that it has 9 one star reviews that were flagged. However I contacted several of those reviewers and they described their experience at this store. It seems somehow they were able to have friends flag their negative reviews. So I am expecting this one to be flagged as well, which behooves me considering its Unilocal and everyones comments and experiences should be welcome.
I liked the layout of the store and found a couple of unique pieces but found most of what they sell, similar can be purchased online but cheaper. however I did not like prices here and worse of all, the owners seemed very strange to me. Like whispering to each other as if they were talking about us, or planning something. It was very strange, bad vibe, bad experience. Not a place I’d recommend.

The creative process with Sofia as we designed the rings was full of fun and passion. She’s so calm, knowledgeable, and open to unique ideas. Very personal service even months after our wedding (got them re-​matted).
Love the perfume selection as well.

I was looking for a very specific style of necklace — white gold, shorter chain, tiny charm, karma design — and I found it here at Kamofie after a long internet search. I wanted a shorter chain with a charm attached that would not move on the chain, so that I could wear it at the same time as another longer white gold necklace.
The personalized service I received via e-​mail from Sofia was outstanding. She answered all of my questions and was very friendly and helpful. When I finally decided on the necklace that I wanted, I received a personal email stating that it was not in stock but that they would make it for me and it would be available within a week. It was ready in the specified time period and I was SO excited to receive it.
The necklace was exactly what I wanted and I wear it every single day. It has a tiny little diamond that gives just a hint of sparkle when the light catches it — I love, love, love it. I am just so happy with the purchase and with the customer service at this store.
Hopefully someday I will be able to visit this store in person. Thanks again Sofia, for a fantastic experience and a beautiful piece of jewelry that I will treasure forever :)

Abbot Kinney is one of my favorite places in the world. I can see myself living permanently in Venice Beach because I love the community, the people, and the diverse boutique businesses owned by locals.
Kamofie is one of those shops that is a true gem in this community.
I’ve come in once before to browse and I’ve passed by it often while strolling down Abbot Kinney. The jewelry is a wonderful collection of artisan jewelry — really unique and beautifully handcrafted pieces with incredible details.
My boyfriend and I went in yesterday to look for a pretty piece to celebrate our anniversary. The salesgirl who helped us was so lovely. (Ooh, I can’t remember her name, but she was the cute Asian girl who is usually in the shop when the owner isn’t!)
My biggest pet peeve when walking into an upscale boutique is the attitude a snotty clerk will throw in your direction. It’s a sure way to make me turn right back around and spend my money elsewhere.
The clerk at Kamofie was friendly right away when we walked in and she was so helpful, telling me all about the pieces I was looking at and let me try on anything I was interested in.
I fell in love with the gold stackable rings in the earth collection (a house design a believe). We ended up ordering one of the beautifully detailed textured twig gold rings. I’m very excited to receive it!
The prices are reasonable for such detailed, unique jewelry. A handmade artisan gold ring with stones is cheaper and of better quality than mass produced rings in the the same range in my opinion. Forget zales, ben bridge, and jared. There is just something special about the artisan jewelry here. You can find pieces here than you can’t find anywhere else! Not to mention you can support your local businesses and artists.
Pay no mind to the ill-​gotten attention because of an infamous sticky-​fingered client. This business is great and I can see myself making future purchases here for gifts and, of course, for myself!

I just wanted to follow up on my previous review. I came into the store to show my support last week. Sofia and her staff have remained very friendly and professional through this crazy ordeal.
BTW, notice that all the negative reviewers only have ONE review posted and NO profile pictures. Just goes to show they are phony reviews.

This place is totally unprofessional. Sofia was very rude, and I think she is racist. She did not want to help me or any of my friends. I would not go if you have some color. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

This my fav fine jewelry spot in LA. The store has a really cool atmosphere and they carry their own line as well as other designers and in some cases exclusive for the whole country. I f you are looking for a really special piece, engagement ring, necklace or even a chic everyday piece, they have items with a really one-​of-​a-​kind feel.
The also carry Heather Hawkins Handbags. Her clutches come in so many colors of buttery leather

i love this place. all artisan jewelry – none of the catalog mass-​market crap – at really reasonable prices. sort of like the barney’s jewelry dept. except way more affordable.
the owner, sofia, is just the most delicious. her line, kamofie, has feminine-​but-​substantial necklaces, charms, and great stacking rings. an awesome place to find something for your gf.
