We are a family-​owned small batch micro-​roaster located on the Island of Venice near Sarasota, Florida. We specialize in selecting fresh, seasonal beans from the world’s finest growing regions to create blends roasted to perfection.

Founded in 2008, Venetian Coffee Roasters seeks to provide you with the freshest, micro-​roasted coffee to bring you the greatest satisfaction, cup after cup! You’ll find us every Saturday at the Venice Farmer’s Market from 8 a.m. to noon.

Business Owner

Joe has always had a passion for finding the very best coffee available during his travels as an airline pilot.

«Whenever I was stuck on a layover, I’d always look for the best coffee and it was always from a local roaster, not necessarily from a coffee shop. «

Joe would bring back the coffee that he liked best and he and his wife would make espressos.

«For six to eight years I experimented and learned by roasting coffee in my oven, on the BBQ grill or in a frying pan,» Joe said. «That’s what gave me the idea to start my own coffee roasting business. At the time, there was no other roaster in Venice.»

When coffee-​roasting equipment became available at an extremely reasonable price, Joe made the leap and Venetian Coffee Roasters was born.

Everything is done by hand at Venetian Coffee Roasters– the grinding, roasting, packaging and labeling. Their coffees and teas are supplied to wholesalers and retailers in Venice, Sarasota, and throughout the west coast of Florida.
