History

Established in 2008.

Venice Breeze Suites is part of the Venice Suites Collection of extended stay hotels. The first two Venice Suites properties we opened in 1999. We pride ourselves in providing the best Value on the Venice Boardwalk. While we are not a full service hotel, (who wants expensive room service anyway?) our staff routinely goes the extra mile to make your stay enjoyable. We enjoy having a high percentage of repeat guests and guest referrals. This is a testament to our superior location on the Beach and great value. We enable you to «Live Like a Local».

Michael and Cindy are local Venetians, both with a deep knowledge and love for their community. Aside from being great resources in handing out all the locals secrets on where to go and who to know, they love to give back in many ways like hosting a station at the Venice Art Crawl and other special community events. Don’t hesitate to ask them for a recommendation on a restaurant or friendly bartender in the area!

Stayed here for my birthday weekend. We ended up arriving an hour and a half early. The lady let us store our suit cases. She gave us a map of choices where to park. We had luck we found parking literally right in front of the hotel. Once we found parking we came back and she let us into the hotel an hour and a half early! Super happy with the one bedroom we got since we were just staying for the night. The shower was awesome, two shower heads. The view was awesome, kitchen, utensils and glasses, cups, even spoons and forks. They even let us into the roof top above, including it having a barbecue pit, and a little couch. It even had a little bed to lay and tan. Restroom was down the hall. The hall included books and board games for kids. Would love to recommend this hotel to anyone who plans on staying in Venice!

I had a completely wonderful stay at the Venice breeze suites. Their brochure says it’s more than a hotel. It certainly is. Every time I met some of the staff they were cordial and helpful. Nothing was too much for them to make sure that I had a great stay. Going from extra bedding to getting another room key and so on. They smiled and happily took care of us all. The room that we had was ocean facing I believe it was on the third floor and what of you I can’t tell you how beautiful of us from our window it was it was incredible. The interiors seem like they were fit to order it was like the perfect bachelor suite. I would love to have a place like that in just keep it on the side so I wouldn’t have to stay at some place out in the suburbs and I’ll lie and I can just come down and stay at the beach and enjoy myself on the weekends. The furniture look like they got the idea from Ikea but brought in higher quality items than IKEA usually sells everything was sort of components but all the components came together to make a beautiful room. Smaller TV in the bedroom larger TV in the living room a full kitchen a beautiful bathroom with the rain feature shower heads that was delightful. Wood floors brick walls that really gave it a lot of character. I love this place. Four of us stayed comfortably and didn’t bump into each other. & A plus plus is on the roof they have a barbecue and sitting area where you can actually lay out in the Sun and be protected from the wind and they have glass windows that open on the top so you get the Winn Block but you get the Sun. I can’t say enough about this place it was wonderful I would totally come back.

Wow this place is amazing. Of course the check in email went to my spam folder but it was there. When I arrived at the hotel on my first night I came in late. It was about 10pm and the front door was locked. While I was frantically searching for my check in email the nice front desk guy got back from his break and let me in. I was surprised to see anyone there since it is a self checking facility. The check in process was simple and quick.
I took the elevator to my top floor room. The list said panoramic ocean from view and it was for real. The room was absolutely amazing. I walked into the main room which had a pull out couch, coffee table, two person dining table, and a kitchenette. The walls are exposed brick face and look amazing with the contrasting white Windows and shades. The kit here is well stocked with a nice dice fridge and a bag of ice.
I walked around a wall and found my bedroom. The Windows literally wrapped from the main entrance all the wall around the room to the bedroom. The bathroom was attached there with a stand up shower and fair facilities. The bed was very comfortable why an amazing comforter that hugged me all night.
Waking up in this room is an experience worth they stay. But I haven’t mentioned the private root-​top patio. Private as in for guests only but this space is amazing. There is even a barbarous for use. With a mini fridge next to the bbq. The view from up here is amazing!!! There is even a glad wind block and places to lay out run the sun.
By far this is a must stay again type of place. I am definitely booking this room again. To date this is my favorite hotel in Venice.

This place ain’t bad. Not bad at all. Had a short stay with my sister early september and the price and location was great. However, I did have a little issue with how some staff were WAY TOO LAID BACK when service was requested. Room was never cleaned and when we requested it to be done they said, «OK.» And never showed. So when we got back the second time, I called again and asked for it to be done. BUT the cleaning lady had left for the day… It was about 5pm if I recall. So I had someone after complaining to bring up clean sheets and take the dirty ones away. That blew. But if that hadn’t happened, there would have been no complaints with this place. And I get it. This is not a place you come to to get pampered or treated like a princess. But when services are included and they are not done… and you ask 2x… and the guy behind the desk is being a douche… Well, that’s no good.

we LOVED our stay here. awesome, friendly check-​in staff, INCREDIBLE location right on the beach. beautiful roof deck for VB sunsets, great bath products, large apartment-​like room & bathroom. other reviewers mentioned the alley being an issue at night, but our room faced the alley and we didn’t have any issues. the only thing is the floors/​walls seem to be thin, so you do hear other people. we will 100% be back to venice beach, and 100% be staying here. thanks guys!

Well where to begin… stayed here last year and was wonderful! So such a great experience deserves another right? Not! We had decided to upgrade with panoramic view this year… well cramped, no dishes, they were in dishwasher still dirty, windows you pay for (view) can’t see out of and one window just falls out. Little grass matt rug filthy, No screens, bug bite first nite. Bed lumpy and uncomfortable, I know you are going to pay a bit more being on Boardwalk but maybe you should shop around for the prices they charge… so disappointed won’t be back! Will go somewhere else for sure!!!

Arrived day 1 and the room was disappointing. It wasn’t clean. It smelled… broken blinds… way smaller then we thought. No PARKING. They fail to let you know ehen making the reservating that parking is through private lots and can cost 60 a day… WHAT???
Extremely noisy. Doors slamming all night. Dumpster outside your window banging.
Second night switch. Room was a little bigger. Things not kept cleaned. Stains on towels. Gross! Things old and lights don’t work. For the prices they charge you would expect better.
Didn’t mind Venice Beach itself. Homeless don’t bother you. Town tries to keep things orderly. Police patrol beach and boardwalk.
Find somewhere else to stay. I bought lysol and used a whole can spraying everything .was still grossed out

EXCELLENT PLACE TO STAY! Check in and out was easy. The room on the top floor was nice and clean. It has a beautiful ocean front view of the ocean and the Venice Boardwalk. Rooftop terrace was definitely a plus! I would definitely stay again. M

Absolutely love my stay at the Venice Breeze Suite. I am in the middle of everything and still have private space to relax. Bed was extra comfy, just didn’t like the texture of the blankets. But that was easily solve by using the softer blanket in the tiny closet. I am all about texture when I am sleeping, soft cozy blankets makes me feel at home. If the the blanket makes me feel like I am getting exfoliated, I will not sleep. The kitchen was so sweet and quaint I wanted to take it home. Maybe they should tell their cleaning lady to make sure she dust the beds and TV, my son and I have awful allergies. All easy fixes. I wish I had wash cloths, kinda awkward washing your body with a face towel. The soap in the bathroom smells awful but I wanted to be clean so I used it. I love ikea and seeing glasses I use at home was comforting. I needed a brief get away to rest my head and not be bothered with work. VBS was perfect for the price and location. All in all its was exactly what I needed, I wasn’t looking for über luxury suite but a place to lay my weary head. I give them for four stars for now, maybe five after slight improvements… but it doesn’t matter as long as the bed is comfy. I will definitely stay here again, and this time I will bring friends.

Checked in tonight to find the room MUCH SMALLER than was sold to us. Scott wasn’t able to make it right but said to talk to Cindy tomorrow… I hope she has a reasonable remedy.
I recommended this place to my girlfriend to take me out for my birthday so I’m a bit put out that the room isn’t as advertised AND the elevator isn’t working.
Top it off with BOOGERS ON THE WALL in bedroom but too late to habe it cleaned and really no option to change room.
The people above us are either a rugby team or the walls and ceilings are way too thin for commercial renovations.
I’m going to make the best of our weekend and not going to let this diminish my happiness but I do hope for a managerial resolution to move us to expected room and certainly going to watch the housekeeper clean my walls.
Not a good review for a place I have loved in the past. Will update how things work out :\

I had the pleasure to stay at Your property this is a very beautiful and super clean, fresh white linens place to stay on Venice beach. Your staff was amazing Lauren was very helpful and professional. Parking was super easy and the concept of self checking is Awesome! BTW Unilocalers VS have several apartment suites on Venice Beach You will Not be Disappointed. Best place to watch the sunset Roof top with comfy couches and a grill… can’t wait to Go Back!

First off I do want to say, I really liked my room here, the beds were wonderfully comfortable (memory foam ftw), the view of the beach was nice, the showers were amazing! I would stay here again, however there are a couple of critiques I have. The first is that for a stay that is 200+ a night, I would suggest a more thorough cleaning as we found a package of zigzags and a jar of weed in our kitchen, as well as what appeared to be an empty stolen wallet. Definitely not far fetched to find in venice but I think more care should be taken in cleaning the rooms. Secondly, I was really
Uncomfortable leaving our rental car in the parking garage that wasn’t locking properly. There was a locking door, but when we stayed it wasn’t functioning, unfortunately. Third, we were disappointed that our DVD player in our room didn’t work. I came down with a cold this weekend so while we were out in Santa Monica, we bought some DVDs to watch while relaxing in our studio, however the DVD player in the TV wasn’t working. When I brought this up to the front office staff the next morning, they informed me I could have asked for a DVD player from the front office, however the front office is only open from 9 – 5 so that wasn’t an option for us.
So, I would stay here again but there were definitely some things I would suggest improving upon.

We were very excited to stay here based on the pictures and the location but unfortunately we had a horrible time staying here. The room was nice but we were on the first floor and directly on the other side of our wall and our «partial ocean view» windows was a homeless camp that used drugs and yelled loudly all night long.
We were unable to enjoy the room at all considering that we were always sharing the space with screamed profanities, fights, and occasion police interactions (their emergency lights filling the room at all hours).
The hotel staff was rude and told us that it was our responsibility to contact the manager if there were any issues at night. We called the manager and left two messages and have still not heard back after about a week, which is why I am leaving this review now.
The cost of these rooms indicate a much nicer experience and we left feeling ripped off and insulted. Definitely stay away, there are much nicer spots for less and you don’t have to worry about feeling unsafe or being woken up all night long.

I stayed here a year ago and purchased a Unilocal deal. I loved staying here! It’s not a standard hotel, it’s similar to having a studio apartment completed with a kitchen! The location is super convenient because it is right on the beach and in the middle of all the things on the boardwalk. You should know that due to this awesome location, it can get loud sometimes but I didn’t mind it. Parking lot is 2 blocks away but I liked that the parking lot was indoors and tucked away, made me feel safe about leaving the car. The front desk staff were very friendly and even gave us recommendations about bike rentals where we name dropped to get a deal.
The room was very clean and modern and spacious. Bathrooms were very nice and showers had lots of room and a glass door. The bed was like a cloud! The exposed brick in the room gave it a lot of character too. Overall, a great place to stay albeit pricy but worth it because of its amenities and location!

The good things about this place are pretty good.
You’re right in the center of all of that Venice Beach hype.
You’re on the beach
Our room had a fully operational kitchen and up top there is a grill on the roof deck. Hey, you got a roof deck.
And the other stuff.
The parking is 2 blocks away. Not all that bad.
The web shows the best ocean view suits. They don’t show you the lesser nice rooms for a reason… The paint is not exactly peeling off walls but it shouldn’t take much longer. The room felt like it was a bit run down.
The street noise on Saturday night is fairly loud, but the drum circle sort of lulled me to sleep after a long day of traveling.
After the bars closed some of the people staying in the room next to us came back to their room and commenced slamming doors, singing crappily and inflicting pain on a poor guitar. At 3 something in the morning when no one is at a front desk its sort of hard to do anything about it.
When I called them and asked them about the people next door they said they checked out and would not bother us anymore. They told us we could have called to complaine and they would have done something about it.
That’s what you get when you stay on the less expensive side. But on price, I have to say I have stayed in hostels that are way more accommodating and way more chill.
When we checked in at the front the person told is a light was put and they would send someone to fix it… why is the light not fixed before we check in? Who cares? Who needs a light? But no one ever came. Why tell me you are going to do something and then not do it?

Venice beach is Santa Monica’s rough around the edges sister. Being right on the boardwalk is good and bad. It’s great for access to the beach, bad for getting sleep. The hotel is located right next to the area where a drum circle gathers nightly. The cops will shut down the circle by 10pm, but then you have to hear the drunks on the street or worse like my case in the room next door. The partying was more of a problem on Saturday, Sunday was fine so if you do stay here I would avoid booking for Friday or Saturday.
There is someone in the lobby during the day and they do offer their number up for emergencies. I felt funny about calling someone at 4 in the morning to complain about the noise in the room next door.
Make sure you get the key code prior to your arrival. After you grab your room key you can park in the loading zone by the back entrance and unload. The parking is 2 blocks behind you. Same code for door and parking.
I had a room away from the beach on the first floor, small but cute with exposed brick and a full kitchen. The bathroom has a shower with a pebble floor and a rain faucet. The toiletries are quality products. We had a light out that didn’t get replaced and the room seemed to be spot cleaned. When we made out the futon, there was sand in it and the shelf above the stove was dirty. It wasn’t the worst or the best, just middle of the road. If you’re there to experience Venice Beach, it’s a great location. Short drive to Santa Monica and Abbot Kinny.

What is love?
Love is a comfy bed with just enough pillows.
Love is a dresser with bed side tables.
Love is a dual head shower. One for romantic rain showers and one to pressure wash the sand off.
Love is the fully functional kitchen which includes coffee mugs (no coffee tho), wine glasses (no wine either), plates, bowls, pots, pans, silverware, knives and cutting boards.
Love is a properly set TV across the room from the bed (although in some rooms this is not the case).
Love is ample wall plugs, an ironing board WITH iron, hair dryer, safe and hangers in your closet with dual door length mirrors.
Love is IKEA purchases thorough out your beautifully designed suite.
Love is the rooftop with fully functioning BBQ grill with a little stove, refrigerator and plenty of grilling utensils.
Love is the view from the rooftop and those comfy couch cushions to keep your bum from falling asleep.
Love is the free parking. While it is a few blocks away and Venice is dark and strange at night, it is not impossible. You chose to stay in Venice, remember? God gave us two feet and vocal chords for a reason should you feel the need to use them. I did not on this adventure.
Love is the picnic basket, beach chairs, boogie boards and floats available for your day at the beach.
