Josh Casey and team at Inflatable are as professional as they come. I have received great advice on the selection, options, and building of my boat (AB Nautilus 17′), Josh has come through on every promise made, and the company gave me a price several thousand dollars lower than the competition. They are the best!

I want to commend Frankie, the salesman, for all of his diligence in answering all my phone calls and endless questions in purchasing an AB VSX 12′ Dinghy. I had looked high and low for a used watercraft and found that there was no inventory or anything in acceptable condition. After Frankie stepped in, he helped me find the ultimate used dinghy which was from a customer who made the purchase but it turned out to be too big for his yacht. Frankie did a great job of helping me secure the deal and helping me customize the dinghy. I would strongly recommend having Frankie assist you with any purchase, and his company has an excellent showroom and great service staff. Thumbs up to all the sales staff and service department!

These guys are the best of the best, friendly and very knowledgeable. They’ve been taking care of my Yamaha outboard for 30+ years. They’ve always done the work quickly and at a fair price. I doubt the old outboard would still be running if it weren’t for their expertise. Their shop and store are modern, clean, and they carry a good selection of quality products. Highly recommended even if you have to drive a long way to get to Ventura: it will be worth it.

I worked with Inflatable Boat Specialists for many months finding just the right outboard for a repower, spent many hours on the phone and in person at their shop (which is really clean and state of the art by the way), and must say that my experience with them was great from start to finish. Their sales staff is very professional and their outboard mechanics definitely know their stuff. If any of you are thinking of a repower or servicing an existing engine, IBS gets my vote.
Jared (president) was very gracious with his time and was able to get exactly what I wanted at a very fair price. Normally one of their sales staff works with a new customer but since they were busy with other folks Jared stepped right in to help me.
Everything about choosing a new outboard (including rigging, gauges, getting the right prop, service, timing, sea trail) was completely transparent from the start and I always felt confident they were going to do a solid job on my repower. Buying a new outboard can be overwhelming but it turned out to be a very pleasant experience.
I’m so happy I found these guys and look forward to bringing in my new outboard for its regularly scheduled service.

have had my bad luck with being over charged and paying for educating mechanics along the way etc. I have been taking my Zodiac to these guys for 3 years and every
year I get it serviced by them. I just picked up my boat today from them and again I’m amazed at how consistant and professional the whole staff is. They know there business and will treat you right. Jared is the manager and he is very friendly and really cares about the customers.

These guys are good, not only do they have a good selection of new but also used inflatables. Drove down from the Bay Area to pick up a 10 ft Achillies with a Euro style seating and 20hp Yamaha, makes a great addition to my boat. I was able to find the right size boat and right price. Bought a couple of ribs from Jared and the team there over the years. Very knowledgable about a wide range of boats and motors. Great workshop with Tony and Matt running it. Looking to buy something bigger soon. Highly recommend going here for all your inflatable/​tender boat needs.

I would recommend Inflatable Boat Specialists, Ventura, CA for your next purchase of an inflatable boat.
I was viewing inflatable boats on all website I could find. Both new and used. I have purchased several used inflatable’s in the pass only to fix them up and resale them later. I have found out what to look for when reviewing quality by different Manufactures.
I found Inflatable Boat Specialists not only to have a competitive price but also quality of service and to honor their quote. It’s had to work with a company I never visited because it was several hundred miles distance. And to purchase an inflatable which I found on their website and AB Inflatable website.
AB’s website provided information and pictures that showed the quality of inflatable I was looking for in their «Nautilus 14 DXL». After contacting several different companies both locally and out of state. I made the commitment to purchase the inflatable boat from Inflatable Specialists, Ventura, CA sight unseen.
I was presently surprised when I saw the boat for my first time. It’s the things you can’t see that make it a quality inflatable. 5 layer «Orca» Hypalon-​neoprene fabric tubes which are fully attached top, bottom and both ends to the hull, fiber glass inside with it up and over the top of the tubes (very important), steering system, under deck aluminum fuel tank

We had a leaking boat while visiting in nearby Channel Islands harbor and the sales people were very kind and helpful… even drove to the harbor in Oxnard to deliver a replacement valve. They are very knowledgeable and helpful and i will drive an hour from our home in Santa Barbara to do my future purchases with them.

We recently purchased a Yamaha engine for our dinghy from Inflatable Boat Specialists. My husband has always been a Merc man but after talking with them we decided on Yamaha. We had it shipped to our office in Palm Springs then drove it to our boat in Marina Del Rey, laying it on the wrong side (which we didn’t know) which caused the oil to leak out and we could not get the motor to turn over. Hugely disappointed we decided to get up early the next day and instead of a sailing trip with our friends we drove to Ventura to take it back.
When the saleman saw how we had the engine laying in our car the informed us that that was the problem… it was our mistake. Nevertheless, they were incredible, they took the motor back immediately agreed to refund our money, sell us a different motor… whatever we wanted. They were friendly, informative and extremely helpful. We walked out with a new Yamaha, layed it on the correct side, drove it to our boat and happy ever after.
We would highly recommend the «Inflatable Boat Specialists» they have the best customer service and a treat to do business with. On a scale of 1 to 10… they get a big 10 in our book!

As a buddy & I were driving along the coastal road near Ventura Harbor, we noticed a sign listing the business name «Inflatable Boat Specialists». Being the curious sorts that we are, we decided to take a look at their inventory of inflatable boats, kayaks, and assorted boating-​related sundries (see photos).
It’s not a large store by any scope of the imagination, but in addition to a nice selection of inventory, this store has a professional sales staff that is relaxed, very informative, & more-​than-​willing to deal if one was in the market. Since I’m not currently in the market, I can’t state with any knowledge about the relative fairness of their pricing, so that’s up to you to do your research. I can tell you, however, that these are decent people with which to work out a deal.
