LPCC summer camp is hands down the best bang for your buck. As a full time working single parent you depend on a reliable and affordable child care. My daughter has been attending the summer camp for the past 6 years and continues to get excited for the first day back. I initially chose this particular summer camp since they were affordable, fun and even had a bus pick up near our house in Pierpont. The bus always seems to be right on time at 8:15am. I really can’t say enough good things about this camp. They seem to have it down to a science even with the hundreds of kids that attend. Its a nice feeling as a parent to know that even though i am having to be at work and forcing my child to go that she always comes home exhausted and smelling of gallons of sunscreen and always with a smile on her face. i have to say that I’m very impressed with the quality of the staff as well as the activities that they are able to achieve through the low cost fees. I’m also impressed with the reminders that are sent by one of the administrators that reminds returning campers to sign up early before the camp fills up. Their online registration makes it easy to immediately confirm your childs spot. Their website is also very simple yet thorough to which it allows you to view the event calendar or even download waivers needed for offsite events. If you do need to contact LPCC for say a tax ID or payment receipt the admin is quick to respond and very informative. I suppose my only real complaint is their payment method is only through hand written check. I do wish that the payment could be done electronically. During the end of the summer they host a camp out where the kids put on a performance for the parents and then they stay overnight in tents on the spacious school grounds. Although, I don’t utilize LPCC child care during the school year i feel its a great change of pace for an exciting and safe summer for my child. I wish i would have thought to write this review earlier but better late than never. If you have a kid that is bored to tears during the summer or you too are a full time working parent i would highly recommend this camp; but don’t wait to register your child as they are very popular and fill up quickly.

My son attended LPCC summer camp last year, and their afterschool program on the Pierpont Elementary campus this year. His counselors were fantastic, they are very on top of keeping the children active and engaged.

Generally, a great and safe place for kids — my daughter is very happy with the activites and caring staff. It’s been my experience that bullying activities will not be tolerated — I’ve seen them address an issue immediately. LPCC is great in a lot of respects, but their payment options are challenging. In this day and age, you would think that a company would be able to offer parents 2 – 3 different payment options at least. But no – everything is on a check writing basis — very arcaic. If you miss a payment deadline(weekly), you get a $ 5 charge. Julie and her staff at Citrus Glen are awesome!
