I bought a sofa here which was delivered just an hour ago. I can’t say enough about the quality of the staff. Sharon helped me the several times I was in the store, as I couldn’t make up my mind before buying. I finally decided to go for it, considering the terrific price and bought it yesterday. Unfortunately, Sharon was off, but a very courteous young woman named Gabrielle wrote it up. I also met another pleasant and friendly employee named Allison. They use a delivery service Express Delivery (there’s a charge, of course, but it’s reasonable) and they brought it within the time frame they said they would. I’m thrilled with the sofa and very happy with Sofas Etc, a real asset to Ventura.

What a great store! After having gone to Lazy Boy and seeing their very high prices I was so happy to find a store that sold fine furniture at a price I could afford. The staff there was just SO nice and accommodating. They have a great selection of sofas and quick delivery times. I highly recommend them for your next sofa purchase.

This is a great place to shop. Sharon is a wonderful manager; friendly, knowledgable and an expert in customer service. We had a very pleasant shopping experience and with Sharon’s assistance, we were able to find the sofa bed we needed. For this reason my family and I will continue to fulfill our furniture needs at Sofa’s Etc.

I got a wonderful sofa with a huge discount! Sharon was so nice and helpful and not like a typical sales person. She has been there for 20 years and knows her products! I had been to 6 or more sofa stores in Ventura county (plus ikea) before finding a this store. So glad I went! Great place!

Having previously purchased a sofa sectional from Sofas Etc I went back recently to look for a rocker recliner. I like to shop local and give my business to family run stores. However, I won’t be going back to this store again.
As other reviewers have said this store lets you wander around on your own and will offer help if you want it. The problem is the delivery service the store uses. The main delivery man was very opinionated last time, but during this delivery he was ill-​tempered, unprofessional, and a downright jerk, going so far as to say my personal check didn’t look real. I had paid cash in the store for this recliner! I have never had bad treatment like this even from a big box store.
When I called back to the store to let the manager know what had happened, she immediately excused his behavior due to heavy medications he was taking. Medications do not alter an already bad personality. What the store manager failed to recognize is that delivery service is part of the furniture business whether you like it or not!
If you do choose to shop at this store I would strongly suggest you take your purchase with you or make some other arrangements to have it delivered yourself. For ill treatment we had to endure, I will take my cash and business elsewhere.

This past weekend we picked up our new leather sectional thanks to the help of Sharon. A couple of weeks ago I had inquired about the warranty that came with the 3 piece sofa set; it was 2 years old. When I explained to Sharon how poorly it had worn she asked me to send pictures. Although our manufactures warranty had expired she went to bat for us. The next day she let us know they were giving us a store credit for what we originally paid for the set. I would highly recommended Sharon at Sofas etc.

We bought an item of furniture from Sofas Ect two years ago. There was a warranty of one year on the recliner couch. Recently we experienced a problem with the material covering and contacted the store Manager Sharon Stein. Even though our couch was out of warranty Sharon went to bat for us in contacting the manufacture.
She was able to work a deal that was agreeable to all parties involved. We are happy contented Sofas Ect customers because of Sharon Stein. I recommend her to any one wanting to purchase furniture from them. Obviously she is tops in customer care and service. Al Phelps of Ventura

We just bought a beautiful chaise sectional for half the price we were finding at the big-​name furniture stores. We came to Sofas Etc two times in the last month and both times Sharon (the store manager) helped us. She truly cares about the customer and helped us find the perfect piece for our house. Her service alone is the reason that I will return.

I had been casing furniture joints in the Ventura area for about a 6 months. Alot of the stores in our area seemed to have quite a bit of low quality furniture. We had spent nearly 2k on a couch 6 years previously before the springs started popping and breaking. I was not going to make that mistake again.
I found Sofa’s Ect about 4 months ago, and found their couches were quality. When it was time, I took my husband in and we shopped for about an hour. They never hounded us or crowd us, they gave us plenty of room to lounge, try out the couches, chat.
We ended up with an exceptionally soft England collection couch with Memory Foam, and recliner ends on the sectional. It was a tiny bit more than we were expecting to spend, but this couch will last 15 years+ and know it’s well worth it.
Only reason I gave 4 star’s instead of 5, was the delivery options. Spending a lot of money on a high quality couch, I had hoped it had better delivery options. We ended up picking it up ourselves to save the charge, even tho it was only ¼ miles away from our house.

Wow this store is huge! Sharon (I think the store manager) was so helpful/​upbeat and spent two days going over all the fabric options possible with me since I’m very picky and after all of that got me a great sale price. We ended up going back to get mattresses there because of how helpful she was we knew it would be easy painless.

Jasmine was very helpful in finding a sofa that I liked a sell as one if it in. Being over 6 – 3 it’s a bit hard to find a sofa that fits me, she helped pick out some colors by what matched my living room.

We recently purchased a couch from Sofas Etc. We love it ! The customer service at this store is great and they are not pushy at all, but are there and available it you do need help. The delivery person called the next day to schedule the delivery and was professional and on time the day of delivery, I won’t hesitate to purchase from Sofas Etc. again in the future.

So we were in desperate need of a couch, and we were planning on spending a good amount as couches are generally expensive. Well, let me tell you this was the greatest place we could have gone. The trip was worth it. We left with a couch, a love seat, and a chair. Gorgeous fabric, and color, and comes with a 10 year protection plan for 18/​year. The sales woman, who is the manager, and I cant remember her name (IM SORRY) was SOOOOO nice, and gave us a discount because the set was clearance and they were having a sale. We even got it delivered that day! Extremely prompt delivery men who were very professional. Overall and AMAZING experience!

I’d been looking for an accent chair for my 1 bedroom duplex for over a year, and just wasn’t satisfied with what was out there, that is until I walked into SOFAS ETC.
I went into another chain furniture store in Oxnard that starts with a Capital «A» and was displeased with the sales tactics and surprised at the cost of the furniture due to it being an outlet store.
Needless to say, I like this manufacturers furniture and wouldn’t you know I found the chair of my dreams, and then was thoroughly disgusted with what they were charging for it, coming in a little over $ 1000.00
I left that store disappointed but determined, and since I had the model number and style name of the chair I started to research online and recalled Sofa’s Etc, as this is where I’d bought my Sofa three years ago.
The customer service was excellent and the young woman that helped me was so down to earth and wasn’t pushy at all. I told her what I was looking for and also told her how displeased I was with the competitor… she was able to special order my chair and it was $ 600 cheaper than what the competition was charging and they are the manufacturer.
She also told me they were having a promotion at the time, it was Interest free for 1 year if approved for credit and also warned me that when credit was checked it would be a hard credit check that will show on your record, and wanted to make sure I was comfortable with that.
When we went to pick it up, the shipping and receiving guys were great and made sure we were happy with the product before they loaded it.
Great service and top notch sales in my opinion!

We’ve been postponing buying new living room sofas for well over a year, but after visiting quite a few Ventura & Oxnard furniture stores, we finally purchased a new couch & love seat during the recent Labor Day sales.
They have a large display room with a great selection of sofa styles & colors to choose from. Toss in helpful service and really good sales prices and I’d say that this is a business worthy of your hard earned dollars.
