Hi all,
My family is a «proud» owner of one of the Bolker condos in Port Hueneme. I was wondering if anyone had any luck getting a hold of the main person responsible for handing the budget. I am currently working with my attorney as my family had over $ 10,000 stolen from their garage. There was no forced entry and multiple units have been broken into. I am working to get these locks replaced or get some sort of communication. I have emailed and have now reached a telephone line. Please let me know if you would like to join me as we try to get more transparency. My parents currently pay $ 465 in association bills and I will be looking into the «miscellaneous» appropriation of the funds. Feel free to message me. I pay $ 450 a month for Gardner, water and trash. Nothing else is taken care of. I’ve been calling for over a year to have a drain pipe on the side of my condo unclogged, must have called 6+ times and nothing. Horrible manager, who could care less about home owners, I base this statement on the way I’m treated when I call. Including issues going against HOA bi laws. She once told me «what do you want me to do about it».

I am a homeowner at a property managed by Spectrum Property Management. I have found them not only to be unresponsive, but completely ignorant of the law with regards to HOA’s. A neighbor tried to get new windows installed and provided all the information requested showing compliance with the HOA rules. The management reviewed the submission & then told her she had «conditional approval». What does that mean? She spend thousands of dollars putting in new vinyl windows and if they don’t like them, she has to remove them? Puh-​leeese. And when I attempted to get a list of the HOA members and was told that the information was «privileged». I sent Spectrum a copy of the CA Corp Code, Section 8330(2), which details the requirement to send member list of names and addresses of members upon written request. Later, some of the members asked to review cleaning & maintenance contracts. Once again, Cheri from Spectrum told us that this was privileged. Once again, we had to send the CA code and repeat the requirements to Spectrum. I don’t know if this is ignorance or just plain lying. And I can’t figure out what they hope to gain. And then there is the condescending attitude — Spectrum apparently does not understand that they are a service provider, and that they can… and likely will, be fired. I recommend you look elsewhere.

No communication, no notice to owners of problems with the property, No on-​site inspection done routinely. No follow-​up no fining of property violators, no publication of minutes, response to inquiries dismissive and condescending. An extraordinary amount is being paid to this company for its impoverished services.
Don’t go near them!

By far the worse association management that exists. The employee’s are unprofessional and lazy.
