We are a boutique law firm in Ventura, California. We specialize in estate planning; family law; business agreements; civil litigation. Our mission statement is simple: The client comes first.

The biggest complaint most folks have about lawyers is that they do not communicate. It is not uncommon to call, write or email a lawyer, and either receive a late response, or none at all. This is not an acceptable business relationship. We understand what some other attorneys may not. And that is:

History

Established in 2007.

Russ Charvonia, a Certified Financial Planner of 32 years and attorney, started The Renaissance Law Group, a P.C., so that he could be certain that his financial planning clients received the best legal services available. Originally, The Renaissance Law Group dealt exclusively with estate planning. Russ’ expertise with finances adds a unique value and perspective to his advice. His business model of «Underpromise/​Overperform» continues to be the hallmark of the practice.

In 2010, Michael Anatole joined the firm, bringing his 21 years of experience in family law, business litigation and civil litigation, as well as substantial experience in mediation. Their relationship is unique. They often meet with clients together, but do not «double-​bill.»

Along with «Underpromise/​Overperform,» Russ and Michael believe that the client comes first, and that communication is paramount. You will not have to send a search party to find your TRLG attorney!

Russ has combined a 30-​plus year career as a financial planner with his estate planning law practice to provide a unique perspective to address clients’ needs and concerns.

Prior to joining the firm in November 2011, Russ was a managing member and co-​founder of The Renaissance Group, LLC, a financial planning firm in Ventura, California. He received his Juris Doctorate in 2004. Russ is a Certified Financial Planner®, Chartered Financial Consultant, Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Life Underwriter and Retirement Plans Associate. He is a registered representative holding Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses from FINRA.

Russ is involved with many philanthropic endeavors and currently serves on the board of directors of The Midnight Mission in Los Angeles, as well as on the advisory board of he Rubicon Theatre Company.

He also serves as the Deputy Grand Master for The Grand Lodge Free and Accepted Masons of California.
