Restaurant is closed. No warning for loyal customers. Talk to other restaurant location and was told if it was not publishded due to bad publicity. Too bad customers.

Perch is good but not nearly as good as Eats and Treats in Sandusky. Price is higher and quantity of perch is less.

I’ve been there several times now for lunch with a friend. There are one or two things you can get at the Pt. Clinton site that are not available here, but it’s not a big issue. If you’re not a fan of *fried* seafood, why would you even come here?! Everything I’ve ever eaten, from the shrimp tacos to the perch sandwich has been very good, very freshly prepared. Is it cheap? No, but then it’s no more than you’d pay at any seafood restaurant, including the local fish fries during Lent. Yes, be aware, the breading is cornmeal based, so if you have issues with that, don’t go. Otherwise, I completely recommend this place for unpretentious, good food in a clean and comfortable atmosphere.

Delicious food and friendly staff! We had perch, gyros, hush puppies, and breaded chicken. Yum! The restaurant was clean, attractive, and comfortable.

Great fresh seafood! Nice staff! Good atmosphere! We have been to port Clinton’s Jolly Roger many times. This was as good if not better and was closer to north Olmsted

Eehhhh the actual breading leaves much to be desired… I really love sea food and have not found it in my heart as of yet to make second trip to the place…

We’ve been to both locations & thought this was every bit as good if not better than what we’ve eaten in Port Clinton. We both got Perch platters — one with chips & one with onion rings. Fish was fantastic as you would expect & the onion rings were the best I’ve had, very lightly breaded & fried. Not greasy at all!

Ok, is it as good as the one in Port Clinton? No, no it isn’t. Is it good fried fish? You bet your sweet bippy it is. Plus, my family lives in the Vermilion area, and this one is a much shorter drive to get to, which means that the amount of time that must elapse before I can shift into full pelican mode is reduced; this is good because I’m impatient. It’s the internet’s fault. I can’t believe that a place like this hasn’t existed in Vermilion forever.

Don’t go, grease is old and makes everything else taste yucky.

My mom wanted to come here, she is in her 60s and likes to try different preparations of Lake Erie perch. I didnt like the fish breading and would avoid it unless you’re a big fan of corn meal. The prices seemed extreme for what you get and the environment you get it in. Service is fast casual style. Ended up being almost $ 40 bucks for two perch dinners and a side of fried oysters. French fries were generic. I love oysters but they were expensive and kind of gross at Jolly rogers. I was still hungry when I got home. I don’t want to trash this place too hard because it wasn’t the worst but it definitely wasn’t the best. The price and portion thing is kind of the fault of Lake Erie perch in itself. For what it is, Lake Erie perch is very expensive to buy on the market. I think it’s an overpriced fish in general so that supply/cost issue is half of Jolly Rogers problems. It’s a clean yet giant and cavernous restaurant with little personality or atmosphere. I would wait for Friday and visit the Slovak club or local Catholic fish fry over this place.

The perch was hand breaded and cooked to perfection, the onion rings are made fresh and hand breaded and were very good. Will be back. The staff was very attentive and everything came out quickly aftet ordering.. The décor is nautical and place is clean. Definitely a great place if you like chicken, shrimp and fish fry’s…

Blahhh. My stomach still hurts. The staff was good but that’s where it stopped. The food was comparable to Long John Silver. I have never been a fan of fried fish but this ranks with others that I’ve had. Bland and tasteless. The waffle fries sucked too. How do French fries taste stale?

Yummy. Jolly Roger’s really satisfied our craving for fish fry. We got the perch dinner and a side of clam strips. The clam strips were the best I’ve ever had, large and tender, not too chewy or gritty, really nice, delicate flavor. The perch tasted very fresh and not at all greasy, the portion was huge. We also enjoyed the unique tartar sauce, tastes like it may have a touch of mustard. We will definitely go back.

Went here shortly after they opened, wasn’t impressed. The perch was ok, but it was breaded with corn meal. Ordered onion rings, same corn meal breaking, but they were over cooked. We will go back to try it again, different breaking, like beer batter would work wonders for this place. Maybe it was just too new.
