Specialties
Paper Moon Vineyards is a family-owned winery known for its award-winning wines and relaxing atmosphere. The Cawrse family opened the winery in 2009; their main goal was to provide a place where people could enjoy fellowship with friends and family while enjoying excellent wines.
The wines vary from dry reds and whites like Old Vine Zinfandel and Chardonnay, to sweet offerings such as Niagara (white), Harvest Blend (sweet Concord), and Red Raspberry fruit wine.
The winery offers a light food menu consisting of panini sandwiches, flatbread pizzas, soups, salads, cheese plates, and a few gluten-free options.
Live music is performed each weekend and special events are happening all the time (sign up for the e-newsletter or follow Paper Moon Vineyards on Facebook).
History
Established in 2009.
In 2009, our family decided to open a winery to offer a new place for people to relax, recharge, and enjoy fellowship with friends and family. Our goal was to create an atmosphere that replicated our favorite moments as a family. We love laughing about stories while sitting around a fire in the summer. We love listening to live music and letting the stress of life melt away. We love enjoying good wine and food. Paper Moon Vineyards is our vision of the perfect place to do all those things together.
We named the winery after the song, «It’s Only a Paper Moon.» We interpret the meaning of the song as, nothing in life is real without love. On a personal level, we believe the the love of Jesus Christ makes life real. We trust God in every decision we make and hope that each guest feels loved by our staff when they visit.
Meet the Business Owner
Adam C.
Business Owner
I’m the winemaker and co-owner (with my parents, Dick & Sheryl) of Paper Moon Vineyards. I’m blessed to have a beautiful wife, Angela, and two wonderful sons. Before opening Paper Moon Vineyards, I had been a flight instructor (BA in aviation from Ohio University), but decided opening a winery sounded more fun than commercial aviation! I’ve studied enology and viticulture through a certificate program offered by UC Davis. Starting with our first vintage, we’ve produced award-winning wines each year (first wine won GOLD) and I look forward to introducing quality wines to our customers for many years to come!
When I’m not working, I love to play with my family, sing, play guitar, snowboard, kayak, hike, play tuba, and be silly.
