Aspen Drive Library which opened in July 2010 is part of the Cook Memorial Library District.

The Cook Memorial Public Library District provides books, videos, music CDs, audio books, magazines and computer games for check-​out. There are computer terminals available for public use in the library and several study rooms and meeting areas for use by small groups.

The Temporary Library Center (TLC) is located in a storefront at 114 N. Milwaukee Avenue in Libertyville until the renovation and expansion of the Cook Park facility is complete (currently predicted to open in early 2011.)

This library is fantastic! All the staff are very courteous and helpful. Library has a lot of kids programmes including great story telling sessions which my kid loved.

Great local library! Pro’s — it’s near my home, has a great computer lab, adult (quiet) reading room, tons of DVDs and CDs, and the ability to reserve materials online and be notified when they’re available so I can run in and quickly check them out. Material at the Libertyville branch can be ordered and delivered to this branch for pickup as well. Oh yes, they have self service checkout, which speeds things up quite a bit. Very recently they added vending machines for sodas and K Cup coffee, so you don’t have to leave to get a drink if you want. Saw that at Vernon Township library and thought it was a great idea. Cons? None I can think of. Use your local library — its a great resource!

This is a great library and a great addition to the Vernon Hills community. I remember growing up and hearing talks about a library, but it didn’t happen until just recently. I wish it was around when I was in school because that would have been so helpful and a lot more convenient than going to Cook Memorial in Libertyville or Vernon Area in Lincolnshire.
The library is very bright, clean and inviting. The selection is good, but somewhat smaller than other libraries in the area. I like that they have a selection of Blue Ray DVDs (which you can renew). Also, the website makes it very easy to renew and place holds on books with their on-​line website.
Great library and definitely will be back often!
