Established in 1986.

This practice was opened in 1986, after I graduated from Northwestern University Dental School. We started with no patients, but through careful attention to the desires of our patients we have grown to become an excellent Dental Practice. Call on us any time.

Dr H was born and raised in Chicagoland. He has been married over 30 years and has 2 adult children, as well as 2 Golden Retrievers.

Dentistry is a natural fit for Dr H since he enjoys all aspects of running a top quality practice. He is always looking for ways to provide better treatment to his patients and lovely staff.

I had my first cleaning at this office recently, and it was such a great experience. My only complaint is that I didn’t find them sooner. The office staff was very friendly and helpful. (thanks to Alicia for helping with my insurance.) My hygienist gave me the best cleaning I’ve ever had, and she made me completely comfortable throughout. (Ask for Janna!)
You can trust Dr. Holz and his team to take care of you, without taking advantage of your checkbook. I highly recommend this office.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this office and I recommend him to all of my friends and family. Before seeing him, it had been a little over a decade since I had a routine cleaning and I was terrified! Everyone put me at ease immediately, and they walked me through everything and what to expect beforehand.
I have been going to Dr Holtz for a little over a year and his entire staff is wonderful. I had a dental emergency earlier this week and they were able to fit me in that same day and perform a last minute root canal. And they didn’t charge me an obscene amount for the last minute notice!

Excellent dentist and great service from the team! I recently had a sporadic pain problem with some teeth. Dr. Holz took the time to methodically determinie which tooth it was, performed a root canal immediately and eliminated the pain. This is just one example why our family has continued to go to Dr. Holz’ office after moving here from PA. 7 years ago.
We feel extremely lucky to have found a great dentist here in Vernon Hills!

Patients can expect the utmost professionalism and compassion here. I’ve been seeing Dr. Holtz for a few years now and have never been disappointed. From basic cleanings to veneers, the work is top-​notch. Dr. Holtz has also provided numerous recommendations for fantastic oral surgeons, gum specialists etc. Even though I am moving out of town, I plan to return to this office for my dental needs whenever possible!

I started going to Dr. Holz over 10 years ago when I used to work in Lake Forest. A co-​worker introduced me to his practice, and I’ve never looked back. I now live in Evanston and no longer have an office in Lake Forest; however, the commute is worth it. Here are my main reasons for sticking by his practice:
1. High quality. First and foremost, I require the assurance that the dental care that I am receiving (and paying for!) is of highest available quality. Dr. Holz’s practice epitomizes this.
2. Professionalism balanced w/​personal care and attention. Dr. Holz always listens to my concerns patiently and gives me thorough and thoughtful responses, laying out treatment options and/​or recommendations.
3. Great staff. The office manager (Sandi, who has been there for as long as I’ve been going there) is awesome. You never have to fiddle with insurance questions that are often headaches for us patients, especially with our dental coverage/​plans changing periodically based on whatever plans our employers select. Dr. Holz’s office takes care of insurance claims, etc. *completely* so that all I see is a final bill from his office showing if and what I owe after insurance is factored. They even double check with insurance to make sure that appointments are set up within the timeframe allowed by the specific plan – e.g., some insurance allows no more than 1 visit in a 6 month period while others simply stipulate 2 per year. Sandi has checked this for me in the past and has set up appointments accordingly.
