This is the worst moving company we have ever used. We have moved 26 times in 30 years and have never gone through what these people put us through. First the agent they sent out underestimated our load and because it was a guarantee they couldn’t adjust it. We set our dates for the move and unload at that time and never changed. However, we made a mistake when we asked them for an estimate for Allied to store our furniture on their truck in Texas. The estimate was for the builder if there was going to be a delay in our move in date. Whe the driver came to our house he had a small truck. We asked why they were using that truck and they told us they were taking the furniture back to the warehouse to pack it for a larger truck. When the agen came to our house during packing we asked the same question and he told us the same thing. They lied and as a result they charged us $ 1863.00 because they unpacked it and stored it in Florida. I called the office and the bookkeeper told her what happened and she said their owner, who was a marine, would be back in the office on Wed and he would get to the truth. They held our furniture for a week and never told us where it was or when it was going to be delivered. We called and Chris never called back. When I emailed them they said it was in Allied’s hands and the driver would call us for delivery and they couldn’t give us the drivers number. On Saturday we got a call from the driver who said he was going to deliver on Sunday. We told him Sunday was our day of worship so he could deliver on Monday. Allied charged us $ 7700 for a move that was originally suppose to be $ 5600. We paid for the incompetence of their agent who didn’t do his job professionally or with any knowledge. At no time did we ever ask them for a delay in delivery or for them to store our furniture. We are going to contact the main office and make a report as well. Pleas be aware of false promises.

Never again. Contracted for 2 men and truck for 4 hours. 30 minutes after they showed up a third man showed up saying the driver couldn’t lift things. A mover who can’t lift things? Book this company if you want to see 3 men do the work of 1. Drag ass, talking on cell phone, smoking and charging me for it. Then instead of following me about 1 mile to destination the driver said he had to go somewhere for another break (this was after about 2.5 hours.) But said he wasn’t charging me for the time. I bet you can guess how this ends. They showed up and dragged ass some more and took another break. (3 breaks in 4 hours and a detour to somewhere) Anyway let me wrap this up by saying they broke my desk and tried to blame it on the screws (LMAO) and went over the time with all their breaks and detour and of course charged me for it. Charged me an hour travel time at $ 85 /​hr. then another $ 25 for fuel. Plenty of undisclosed charges. Very bad experience. Chappelle was the only one there I’d ever hire again. My advice, find yourself a reputable mover and post it here so I can use them.

I really can’t say enough good things about this company. The price was so fair and the move went great. It was my first time with professional movers and everything arrived in great condition. I even called the owner to thank him. Thank you so much, Astro Laws!!!
