Costa d’Este Beach Resort & Spa

We came here last year just by searching on the Internet for beach getaways. We live on the west coast of Florida so, somewhere not too touristy but still beautiful and relaxing is always ideal for us! Costa d’este is truly beautiful and really is such a treat for us. We had such a wonderful experience that we decided to come back this year (to the exact day and everything). We were greeted with champagne– how great is that? The resort also put chocolate covered strawberries and fruit in our room since we were celebrating my boyfriends birthday. The hotel is so clean and the staff is so accommodating. The beds and great, the shower is amazing (rain shower with a second detachable shower head). The pool is wonderful– it’s a salt filtered pool and overflows into the sides. It really is gorgeous. Great hot tub. And the resort stay includes beach chairs and a drink. Really love staying here! Hope to make this a yearly trip!

Not too impressed for this to be a celebrity’s establishment. We did not stay at the hotel but stopped by to eat at the restaurant poolside. I had the spinach artichoke dip and the other ladies had the buffalo mozzarella (not sure why it’s called that… its caprese without the basil, not spicy) fried calamari and tuna tartare. The entrees ordered were the Cuban sandwich which was super flat, I’ve never seen one this flat. The ladies that shared it said it was so-​so. Another lady got the chicken smothered in some sauce that I can’t remember. She said that was ok but not impressive. I had the wedge salad which was a small amount of lettuce, one slice of tomato and about a cup of blue cheese dressing over it. I’m used to a quarter head of lettuce… That seems pretty standard. Way too much dressing and too small of a salad for $ 12! I also got the side of black beans which came with hard rice and plantains. The plantains and beans were good but the rice… not sure how that got messed up… Anyway, we were really looking forward to going here and we’re pretty disappointed. The waiter told us that Gloria and Emilio only come 3 – 4 times a year. You’d think they’d come more often for quality control.

Stayed here on a short visit for a memoral. The hotel was very nice and quiet. The best part of our stay though, was the service. The staff couldn’t have been nicer. Each and every person had a wonderful smile and went out of their way to be of service. They even group-​signed a card for us.
I’d stay again and recommend it to anyone.

Don’t get me wrong — this is a nice hotel. That being said — it’s expensive and they nickel and dime you to death. I checked in today was upsold to a «pool view room» for $ 50, I get to the room and ummm it was a «kinda sorta» pool view room (blocked by a big palm tree). I proceeded to the beach and picked out a nice chaise lounge chair and before I could even sit down, a 20 something, unshaven, unpolished boy was asking me for $ 25 to sit at the cabana. I told him that I already paid for the «resort fee» but apparently it didn’t include a chair at the beach with a cover (ha ha ha). I checked in at 4 PM and the beach closes at 5 PM so for 1 hour they wanted $ 25 bucks. I’m only here for 1 night — thankfully!
Once again, don’t get me wrong — it’s a nice hotel BUT $ 208 for the room (plus taxes of course), an extra $ 50 for the «pool view» room, an extra $ 25 for the «cabana» so let’s add it up…$ 283 for one night (plus taxes) so that puts us over $ 300. Definitely not worth $ 300. Someone should tell Gloria that her nice hotel in Vero is not so nice in terms of amenities … $ 25 for one hour at the beach — give me a break!
On a side note, they must have recently renovated the tile and it looks like someone made a mistake — when you see it you will know what I’m talking about.
For the money — I would opt for the Vero Beach Hotel and Spa (Kimpton Hotel)…it’s less expensive, it is classier, and going to the beach with a chaise lounge chair is included in their resort fee. If you have an opportunity to visit both hotels — the Vero Beach Hotel and Spa will win you over.
If you are going to stay at Costa D’este — bring lots of extra money … and don’t say you weren’t warned.

Had a little stay cation this weekend. We decided to visit Gloria & Emilo’s place in Vero, Costa d’ Este. We had a perfect «Sex in the City» movie like time from start to finish!
Expectations: Given that Gloria makes you want to shake yo body baby do the conga! I was kinda expecting a very «Bongos» or traditional Cuban vibe and experience. It wasn’t at all but, it was just as impressive.
Experience: We arrived at the hotel which was stunning. It is bright white and captures the essence of old school Miami Beach. We were then greeted by Hector, who took our bags for us and right up to our room. Not a finger was lifted all weekend. Check in was quick and smooth! The lobby is calming and clean. Fresh orchids everywhere. Our room was big and felt modern with a hipster vibe! Comfy Beds. Impressive delicious shower.
The beach/​pool deck was absolutely breath taking. Ambiance was perfecttion as we enjoyed music from, local celebrity Jerzi, the yukelele player who covered songs of our favorite throw back jams and frozen grapes are brought to you while you lounge. The staff goes the extra mile. I mean… princess status. We enjoyed beach chairs and drink service at the perfectly clean beach. Water was a little chilly for us this time around. The pool however was heated and perfect! The huge hot tub was everything I ever wanted.
Let’s chat food. GLORIA and EMILIO out do themselves here. Everything was delicious from the restaurant «WAVES». They don’t hold back on the drinks. Just exceptional meals.
We did get to walk around the town a bit. Everything is walking distance. We visited Mulligans and ate under the stars under a little hut facing the ocean. We had awesome sea food. We also visited Grape and Grind and enjoyed tapas and wine. Great staff there and amazing live music. It was an evening of wine and dancing. We really loved the vibe– but please note, it is a bit of an older crowd (if you’re looking for a club – not gonna find it).
Unfortunately, we did not have time to experience the spa but it is lovely and pretty well priced.
Attention needed: Gloria, we need better pillows in the rooms and a few more outlets for charging. The locals hanging out in the area recommend people checking out Vero Beach Hotel and claim it blows Costa out of the water… and maybe it is true but this place is a gem and i’d revisit just based on the service we received.
Memorable Person: Theresa! She went the extra mile for us!
Would I go back: Yes, I think we def. will. It is a great place to come with the girls or with the family. I personally plan to come back for a romantic quiet weekend.

It just gets better and better… This was the 2^nd time we came back to stay at the resort. This time around we were able to experience the Beach and Pool side amenities. A perfect day to sit by the pool and enjoy the bar and food. As you relaxed on your pool chair with a mimosa on your hand, you had people come up to you offering frozen refreshing grapes, also cold hand towels infused with a lemon oil to help refresh you and relax you. They also offer you board games to play as you pass the time. As we headed to the beach you can grab a glass of infused water. Very nice as you need to stay hydrated. We were welcomed by the staff on the beach and we were offered 2 beach lounge chairs (courtesy) as this is part of your resort fee you pay. You are able to order drinks and food. It was very nice. No complaints at all. We absolutely love this resort and will be back again.

Came for a two day get away from the kids. The place and service is top notch. High quality furnishings, amazing beach, food, pool and most importantly incredible service. The staff is attentive, helpful and friendly.
And the pastel coloured bicycles are a hoot. Especially if you have you wine in the front basket.
Will definitely be back.

Ok, so this review will be long…
Hotel: The interior of this place is very inviting and the colors aren’t in your face, but classy. I like the fountain as you drive up. The staff are all amazing! Everyone seemed to enjoy their work and were super helpful.
Rooms: The rooms here are really nice and I found them to be sound proof through the walls. This is something important when you are on vacation. I had an Ocean Front King and found it wonderful. The sound of the waves crashing with the door open made me a puddle of jello. Nice comfy bed, lots of pillows and ample room. The room has a coffee maker, small fridge, nice tv, spacious bath (but mine as a shower only). You will also have a robe and slippers, I wore them to the spa!
Room Service: I used the room service a hell of a lot and tried so many items on the menu. The service was fast and polite! The items came hot, salad cold, drinks were great! The wonderful people who would bring the food would come and get the tray if you call down. Every item was very tasty and made it hard to choose. I had the shredded pork, salmon, and salads.
The Wave Restaurant: I stared at the menu for a week and decided to have an item in the restaurant for my last meal. The pappardelle seafood dish… I just didn’t think it would hold up as room service. It was wonderful and having it in restaurant was the way to go. The service here is first class and the ambiance is very classy.
The Spa: I came here to relax and the spa is a really great item in this place! I had the Signature Package on my first day… It set the tone for the whole relaxing week. Massage, facial, manicure and pedicure… You are a mess when you leave and need a nap. Best facial I’ve had anywhere in the world! A couple of days later I had a «wrap» that was on special. This wasn’t a wrap like I’m used to… But more like a simple body treatment… A wrap usually puts you in a cocoon and this did not. I felt great when it was done anyway. I spent some dough and it was worth every penny!
Pet Friendly: I brought my baby with me and Its very important to me. He made a mess first thing and they made no matter about helping me fix that up. Not one comment or fuss… I was already so embarrassed. He was good the rest of the week and everyone loved on him. They have a few small grass areas and a stand with bags/​disposal. I was a bit bummed when we couldn’t hang at the wave pool bar… But it’s ok.
All in all I’d be happy to stay here anytime! I wish I had found it sooner to be honest… I left here feeling relaxed and I don’t think I can say that about any of my other vacations… Not this relaxed!

A hidden gem! Gloria Estefan knows what she is doing. Hotel is beautiful. Staff is friendly. I’ll definetly return

service. Pet friendly. Cabana king rooms have private deck with loungers – feels like an outdoor living room. Yummy food and good wine. Ceviche. Burgers. Lobster. Steak. Cuban sandwich. This is my home away from home. Love it here.

My two girlfriends and I stayed at this resort for 5 days. We had the best time. Although the pool area was closed due to renovations we ended up having perfect weather for the beach. It was unusually warm for November. When we were told of the upcoming renovations we were very upset but the management more than made it up to us. We received a room upgrade, use of the beach accessories and a few other small gestures of good faith.
Our room was so beautiful. We were in an oceanfront suite with a outstanding view of the ocean. This suite had a balcony to sit on, a living room with a fold out couch, two bathrooms, one tub in the master bedroom, comfortable bedding, use of bathrobes & slippers and we loved how spacious this room was. The housekeepers were awesome and friendly so if we needed anything or wanted anything set up they were very accommodating. The wi-​fi service worked. That’s always a plus. There were a couple issues with the room that should be corrected right away. The key card to get into the room kept deactivating. You cannot have the room key near your cellphone. At times all I had on me was my cellphone and room key and I was not happy having to reactivate them all the time. The other issue is with the water bottles in the room which, in my opinion, were extremely overpriced and could have been much cheaper to purchase. The price of the a bottle was on a translucent sign which was not visible enough for me to realize there is a hefty charge per bottle. Luckily I was able to purchase the same water bottle and replace it before we could be charged.
The restaurant was very nice. Our server Dru was a real professional. He truly made our experience at breakfast very pleasurable and started our days off right. I’m very picky when it comes to putting hot coffee in a freezing cold cup. He made sure for the duration of our stay that my coffee mug was warmed before he came with the pot of coffee. Our experience at night was different. They don’t like to bend the rules. Our girlfriend, a professional singer, had asked if she could sing a song with the staff member who played guitar and was singing the first night we ate there and the management didn’t want any part of it. After we were relentless in asking they allowed her to sing a song which was very meaningful to our crowd. We had not heard her sing in years in that kind of setting. The guests of the restaurant were all eyes on our girlfriend and she received a huge applause at the end. I’m glad they gave in. The food was excellent and cooked to perfection. The bartenders were also great! Couldn’t have asked for better service in that regard.
The beach service was tremendous. We had the beach guy Brian set up our chairs every day we were on the beach and anytime we needed anything he was there for us! The servers on the beach were very friendly and accommodating as well. We had the best time on their beach. They had set up a makeshift bar out of one of the lower suites so the service to the beach was uninterrupted by the renovations of the pool and the pool bar. We had the pleasure of seeing the almost finished project and the bar/​pool area is going to be absolutely beautiful!!!
The spa was also excellent. My first massage was with Katia and she did a great job. The second masseuse Amber was absolutely amazing!!! She was very informative and very thorough. I was told by my girlfriend the two massages she received were also out of this world!!!
The desk staff and valet were very friendly. Michele, who was the desk manager at the time of our stay, was a true professional. She made sure all of us had the best time of our life. I gave this resort the highest rating in spite of the few issues we encountered because the issues I mentioned could easily be corrected and hope by our next visit they will be.
Thank you Costa d’Este for making our girl vacation a great experience. You went above and beyond to make us happy.

It was awesome to find a place to stay in Vero that wasn’t crawling with kids, or didn’t feel relevant. Not only are the rooms great, the access to the beach can’t be beat!
Our FL Res package included breakfast, and this was not some basic stale muffin left out on a table. We had our pick of the breakfast menu and was surprised when a platter of made to order eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast and fruit arrived.
The staff were feat at giving advice on what to see around the neighborhood and their suggestions were spot on
We’ll definitely be going back to Costa!

A very lovely (South Beach Style) boutique hotel. This hotel is located directly on the ocean in beautiful Vero Beach, within walking distance of most of the shops and restaurants. Everything was ready for our party of two as we took charge of our room. The staff was polite and attentive. Our dining was wonderful except for the noise. The food was good but it was hard to carry on a conversation both times that we dined in the hotel. We enjoyed the Cuban dishes.

We had an issue at checkout, that was a little aggravating, but it didn’t affect the enjoyment of our stay. This has to be one of the most beautiful towns in Florida.

This is our 2^nd year coming here for a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary. We truly love it here! From the moment you arrive you are welcomed by smiling faces.
We always reserve the oceanfront cabana room. It’s on the first floor with easy access to the beach and pool area and there is never a lot of foot traffic since the only people walking past are other visitors who have also booked this particular room. The room is gorgeously modeled with sleek and modern touches. The shower is amazing and is beautifully designed with 2 shower heads. The beds are a little too firm for my liking but after spending all day in the sun, I always still get a good nights sleep.
The hotel pool is so relaxing. Located in the middle of the U-​shaped hotel it’s set up with comfortable lounge chairs and breathtaking views of the ocean. The poolside bar offers delicious drinks and will assist you in ordering food to eat poolside. The pool staff was so accommodating and friendly. They must’ve asked us once an hour if there was anything we needed. They pass out skewers of frozen grapes and offer cool towels as well.
Lastly, the restraint… The Wave Kitchen and Bar. We eat here for breakfast each morning and make it a point to eat dinner here one of our 2 nights in Vero. Breakfast is always a great way to start the day but we especially love the cowboy steak that is offered for dinner. It comes to the table on a sizzling cast iron pan with a twice baked potato and asparagus on the side. Can’t beat it!
I can’t wait to come back next year!

My friend and I had the pleasure of staying at this resort for a weekend in April. Coming from a disastrous snowy winter in NYC, any hotel in the sun would’ve been great. However, this hotel far succeeded our expectations. The customer service was outstanding and everyone was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. The resort had parking for guests and valet parking and we used both without any issues.
The rooms were comfortable and fit our needs for our stay. There was a small refrigerator that we used to keep our water and wine chilled. LOL. We had a room on the first floor and right outside was the pool area which made it extremely convenient for us to get back and forth. The pool area had complimentary sunscreen which was cool. What I didn’t like about the room being on the first floor was the lack of privacy if you wanted to sit outside. There were leaves to cover the room area but you still could easily see from the outside. We also noticed a lot of black bugs all over our balcony area and in the outside hallways of the hotel rooms. However, they were very harmless and didn’t bother you but they were still unattractive, especially seeing so many at the same time. We only saw them outdoors.
We ate breakfast every day at the hotel’s main restaurant, The Wave Kitchen and Bar and the meals were delicious and plentiful. We also had a complimentary dinner at the restaurant because there was an issue with our room on the day of our arrival and the hotel manager extended his apologies for our inconvenience which was greatly appreciated because the restaurant was very pricey.
The resort was well maintained and the location was right in the heart of a main strip of shops, restaurants and the beach. There was a pubic beach and park about 5 minutes away. We were shocked that most of the shops were closed on Sunday. I wouldn’t hesitate staying in this resort again, we had a very welcoming and positive experience.

Amazing find and an amazing stay. Had the best Memorial Day weekend here. The staff is truly wonderful.
The rooms are excellent, large and if your lucky to get one with a view of the ocean your going to be in bliss
The beach and pool are wonderful. Warm 80 degree ocean water, plenty of chairs and excellent staff.
The food is on par with some of the best restaurants in NYC or Miami. It’s reasonable but I would say on the more expensive side. Dinner for 2 was around $ 130 which for the quality of food was worth it.
We will be back!

This place was absolute paradise ! Beautiful grounds, lovely/​modern guest rooms, delicious food options, and the service — absolutely top notch ! I travel frequently for work and pleasure and in all my travels, I have never experienced service levels like this –from every single person I encountered.
The General Manager, Ed was an absolute gem. He approached us as well as many other guests to ensure everyone was having a good experience and all our needs were met. His personality and obvious love of his job were a pleasure !
SPECIAL thanks to Robert, Jarred, & Chris from the pool area. Each of these guys went ABOVE & BEYOND each and every day we were there. The extra attention and service will ensure, without a doubt, that I will be back again and again !

I recently stayed at this hotel one weekend during April 2015 and must say that I truly enjoyed my stay.
Initially after checking in there was an issue with the door lock on the room but Steven was gracious and very accommodating which made the lock situation bearable. The room itself was gorgeous and its bathroom was spacious.
The staff in general were always help and courteous. However, the one day I spent by the pool was abruptly and rudely cut short by Michelle C. After sitting most of the morning at the pool I got up to the use the restroom but came back to find someone else sitting in my chair. The towels as well as the book I left were also dumped on the floor in a pile. However, there were many other empty seats available? When I approached her about the issue she spoke to me very sarcastically and made no apologies. I felt as if i was speaking with a child not a representative of the hotel. From what I observed the pool rules state that if you leave your seat for more than 30 minutes then your belongings would be moved — using the bathroom took me less than 10 minutes. I was so disgusted with her rude attitude that I never returned to the pool but I did voice my concerns to the front desk. The front desk representative did not seem surprised one bit and verbally completed my complaint as if she had heard the complaint many times. One bad apple can spoil everything!
My stay was absolutely pleasurable UNTIL I came across Michelle C.

A stylish, immaculate, dog-​friendly boutique hotel on the beach. Not sure I could ask for more than that! Our room — oceanfront with an outdoor patio — gave us a great private place to hang out while feeling like we were *on* the beach, as well as a quick route to get to the sea and sand (though, two things you could add here to make me wish I could give this review six stars: a keycard reader on the patio door, and a screen door :)) All of the dog-​friendly rooms have tile which is good with all the sand my low-​riding corgi tracks in. The room itself was large and comfortably appointed, as was the bathroom. Everything looks recently updated.
I only hung out briefly at the pool/​hot tub but both are huge, and the way the pool is lit at night is really cool. On the beach, there’s chair and umbrella rental (some room rates include one or both — ours included chairs) available. Nice stretch of beach and not crowded. We ordered mojitos while on the beach (yum) and the server also brought a bowl of ice water for our dog.
Service was outstanding — the overall experience and lots of little things like water bottles in the car when the valet brought it up at checkout, recommending cool running routes, calling restaurants for us to make sure they were open and had a dog friendly area, not blinking every time my caffeine-​addicted self hit them up for extra k-​cups for the coffee maker, etc. The social media team was on point and issued my dog his own hashtag! We’ll definitely be back here.

Top notch beach destination. It is owned by Gloria Estefan and her husband. Total «South Beach» vibe is everywhere. Rooms have marble floors, perfect pillows and perfect sleeping bed. Best part is the oval marble shower with seat (for two).
Pool overlooks the Atlantic with nice pool bar. You get a comp Mojita when you check in. About 400 yards directly out in front of the resort in the ocean is a sunken ship from the 1890’s. At low tide you can see the tip of the anchor. You can rent a kayak or paddle board to go check it out.
We checked in on Friday and did not use our car until we checked out. The town is about 6 blocks long on one street and everything is an easy walk away. The Ocean Grill is directly adjacent and a 2 minute walk away.
Great time and I hope to be able to return.
