Don’s Import Auto Service

Where to begin… I’ve been in Vero for 2 years now. Initially I was told to check out Don’s for service to my Audi Q5 and my husband’s Lexus because they had fair pricing and great service. These statements are both true. But I will never go elsewhere because they have repeatedly proven to be ethical, honest, and willing to help in a pinch (not to mention friendly!). The Lexus began leaking fluid so my husband brought it to the dealer in Ft Pierce where he was given a new O Ring for a couple hundred dollars and told if that didn’t fix it, then they’d have to «drop the engine out» at great cost (over $ 3,000 was the estimate). Well, it kept leaking so I brought it to Don’s for help. Darn if they didn’t put dye in the fluid, find the leak — within ONE HOUR! — then THEY called the dealer and learned the leaky engine part was not only under warrantee but that it was a known issue. Don’s then set up an appointment for us and sent us down to Lexus have the work done. They could have done the work but pointed out that Lexus would do it for free and Don’s simply couldn’t beat that. Would I have known? Nope. I would have shelled out the thousands for the fix. The cost of the diagnostics Don’s did? Less than $ 50. I now send everyone here — my parents, friends, clients — and the feedback is ALWAYS phenomenal. THANK YOU DON’S!!!

Dustin, my service advisor, is very professional. He greets me by name and with a smile. He kept me advised of the service and when my car would be ready. This is the place I take my BMW. No dealer for me unless under warranty.

this is like no other auto repair i have ever been to.
beautiful waiting room, with internet, coffee, tv, reading material. you would
not even know it was a garage next door. they fixed my car fast, and
made a report of other things wrong with the car. very thorough.
the lady at the desk even called a cab for me. and to top it off, they
sent me a card saying they appreciate my business and hope I was
satisfied with their work. no one does that.

My transmission had some problems recently, and I had to have my car towed here. They were fantastic in every regard. The mechanic, Dustin, kept me up to date with everything they found and they were honest. My car was repaired in 4 business days, and everyone was just so friendly. I won’t be going anywhere but here.

They are great! They do what they say they’ll do, when they say they’ll do it, and it will be done right. They stand behind their work and they do so with courtesy. Yes, there are cheaper garages, but not better ones.

We have a 2000 VW Jetta which my daughter is currently driving as she attends graduate school. It has 115K on it and thanks to Dons it’s running like a champ!
We owned this car when we moved to Florida 8 years ago and despite the fact that it’s a GREAT car — we were having absolutely AWFUL experiences trying to get it serviced at virtually every VW dealer within a 100 mile radius.
Then we discovered Dons. These guys are GREAT! I can’t begin to give enough praise to them for their work.
My husband travels for business — so I’m often the one taking care of such «menial» tasks and as far as the people at Don’s know — I’m a woman who knows little about cars and they STILL don’t try to take advantage of me. Instead they seem to be interested in building a long term relationship — and creating a fan of their business!
They are very polite and very respectful. They will explain WHY they’re doing what they’re doing and even show you the parts.
For example — we took our Jetta in and it needed a belt replaced which required them to tear apart the whole engine apart.(Remember, it has 115K miles on it — things are going to be breaking from here on out.) While they had the thing torn apart, they replaced the other parts exposed. The bill was slightly higher because of the additional parts — but — as my husband pointed out — it was cheaper in the long run to do it that way. While it was a $ 1500 bill — most of that was labor — and they could have easily «saved» us a hundred dollars or so by not replacing the other parts likely to break (i.e. the water pump). Instead of just replacing the belt, they did it all at once so we won’t be repeating that $ 1000 plus repair every time those other things break — like the water pump.
Don’s is a great place — where women are treated like intelligent human beings. Truly as good as it gets when it comes to auto repair.

Years ago I used to own Honda vehicles. The Accord is my favorite car (nice ride, dependable, great resale value, affordable and runs forever if you take care of them). Don’s Import has been taking care of not only my cars but my parent’s car long before I started going there.
The staff there are VERY POLITE, VERY FRIENDLY AND KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. I was always appreciative of the time they took to show me and explain to me what the problem was with my car and how it could be fixed or semi-​repaired if I wasn’t able to fix everything they noticed was questionable or in need of attention. No high pressure sales with them!
Don’s is a bit on the pricey side but you get what you pay for! Don’s workers are happy and they take pride in their work and the appearance of the shop. They also provide courtesy drop-​off and pick-​up service if you need help.
It is not easy to find a good hair stylist or good mechanic… take my word Don’s Import Auto Service is a great find!!!
