I didn’t get my brows done but I went to the salon to get balayage highlights. It was my first time getting my hair highlighted at a salon and I was a little nervous because I couldn’t find many reviews for their salon. However Olivia did an amazing job! The process took over 2 hours and she took her time and didn’t rush the process. She answered all my questions and recommended products to use specially for my type of hair. In my opinion the price was reasonable and because it was my first time I received 25% off. The balayage highlights ended up turning out better than I could have expected and I will definitely go back in the future.

***I didn’t specifically go to the benefit brow bar; my experience is solely about my shopping experience at the Ulta at Vestal in Townsquare Mall* I walked in with the intention of buying two products, a face cream and a foundation. There was one woman getting her makeup done and two other women around her-they all worked at the store. As I’m making my way towards them to ask if they carry a specific brand another customer beats me to it so I stand behind the customer and wait my turn. At least two of the workers saw me standing there but when they were finished with the previous customer they turned around and continued talking amongst themselves completely ignoring me. I went up to them and asked if they carried this brand and one of the women said, «No”-very abruptly and turned right back around without even giving me a chance to respond or ask a follow up question. With her back to me, I asked, «Well do you carry a similar brand, consistency, etc.?» She didn’t seem like she wanted to help me at all. The woman getting her makeup done asked me what brand it was and I said, Make Up Forever HD. She didn’t know about the brand and when she asked the co-worker that I had initially been interacting with what the makeup was like, the co-worker said, «It’s cheap makeup.» And continued on with her back still to me. After getting the hint that they really didn’t want to be bothered I went through the store, looking for a foundation myself. I needed help with finding my match but after the interaction that I had, it didn’t seem like they were going to be of much help. So I only ended up purchasing the face cream that I needed. After that experience I definitely will not be returning.

I got my brows done by a young blond woman. She clearly wanted to finish waxing my brows as soon as possible. She didn’t bother to carefully pluck my eyebrow hairs, making sure not to grab my skin. Nope, she just quickly ripped the hair out and got my skin along with the hairs. Do not go to this woman. Instead you should look to get your eyebrows done by the young blond woman with pink highlights. She takes the time to make sure your eyebrows are even, and she will offer to cover up your redness(unlike that other woman).
