Nice place… pleasant staff… one server, I believe a Lauren, needs to improve her customer attitude… Can’t believe no one has contacted owner yet Place not same since Heather(Manager) has been gone… I think time for some wait staff to be given a talk on customer relations! Getting worse… I know a good number who have stopped going there… disinterested and ditzy waitresses… somebody better dump that Lauren before she further erodes your business Service is getting really bad… wait staff should pay attention… I have to believe they need the job!

People of Binghamton have no idea how good they have their IHOP. If they came to the ones in any of the 5 boroughs, they’ll be surrounded by ghetto and lazy servers. The food would look microwaved. The servers here memorize your orders no matter how complicated they are.(Jessica was it?). Kind, friendly and patient. The food was just how I remembered it. Great steak omelette with a side of blue berry pancakes. Everything was terrific. Especially after a night of hard drinking.

My husband and I don’t normally go to ihop but I had a $ 5.00 off coupon so we figured ehh what the heck. I ordered a Belgian waffle and bacon. My husband ordered a cheese omelet with sides of toast home fries etc. My waffle was tepid at best, even butter wasn’t melting on it and bacon was dry and over cooked. The cheese omelet was nothing more than a scrambled egg folded over to resemble an omelet, and two slices of cheese melted over the top. With the coupon it still came to $ 22.00. It’s an overpriced chain with mediocre food. I realize that I only ordered a waffle, but at least serve it hot enough to melt the butter. And I’m not a chef but that omelet was not even close to resembling an omelet. And no they were not busy at all.

We came for Christmas breakfast and ended up with the world’s best server. Matt was an absolute delight from his fantastic sweater to his joyful mood– today is his birthday! Today was an absolute joy. Thanks Matt!

personally, i feel like it’s a little lame to review chain restaurants here on Unilocal, but seeing as how i already reviewed 75% of the local places where you can get breakfast, i figure these guys are fair game for me now. i read all the reviews on here and most of them say they have great food but horrible service. while i thought the pancakes were very good, everything else(food and service) was mediocre. the pancakes were nice and fluffy and had a good flavor, but i don’t like how a short stack is 3 and a full order is 5 pancakes. i thought the bacon i had here was pretty good, better than a lot of places and it had a nice smokey flavor to it. the scrambled eggs were ok, not the best i’ve had but far from the worst, they had a nice buttery flavor to them and tasted even better when i put some cholula hot sauce on em. as for the hash browns, they were mediocre. they could have been more crisp, i tend to prefer home fries, but these tasted alright, and they tasted even better once i added a little salt and pepper. i also tried their lemon strawberry double dipped french toast. it looked really good on the menu, and the description sounded good too, but the execution wasn’t great. they dip the bread in french toast batter, then dip it again in a breading of corn flakes and oats, which is supposed to give it a nice crunch, but unfortunately on mine the flakes weren’t crunchy, they were a little soggy and chewy. the strawberries overpowered the whole dish too, i could barely taste the lemon and there was no flavor from the batter. i took a small piece of french toast that they missed with the strawberry sauce and put some syrup on it and i liked it a lot better that way, i think next time i’ll skip the toppings. the restaurant is clean and comfortable inside but it’s got no character, it’s very bland and boring. i do like that they have a few different syrups on the table. i liked the peanut butter syrup but i wouldn’t want to cover my whole meal in it, i liked the old fashioned the best. as for the waitress, she was nice but not overly friendly and i wish she would have been a little more attentive with the water refills. i like this place better than dennys and i could see myself getting a craving for these guys once in a while, but when it comes down to it i do enjoy local diners much more.

I have never had a bad experience here in all the years I have come here to eat and most of it has been breakfast. the coffee is fantastic and I like how they serve it in a carafe you can serve yourself.

Good food. Big portions. The only downside is how close the aisles are together. You end up hearing everyones conversation.

Wow. If it wasn’t for the French toast this would have been a 1 star review. I came here with my parents and we waited less than 5 minutes before we got seated. This is going to be good I thought. So we placed our orders and patiently waited. La la la. We sat next to a family with about 8 – 10 people. They took longer to decide and placed their orders a good 15 min after we did. As 20 min went by we saw the cashier line building up. What is going on? There was only one register and this 60 year old woman was working it byherself. There were at least 10 people on line! Each on line for a good 15 min! What. These people just want to pay. Anyways after we waited half an hour the party of 10 next to us(who placed their order 15 min AFTER we did) got their food. How is it possible for them to finish preparing a meal for 10 that came after my table for 3??? Whatttt. All in all we waited 40 min for the food after we placed our orders. Don’t come here unless you like waiting and watching other people who come after you, eat.

Went there on Sunday the 27th, horrible visit. Line out the door so we left our name to get a table and proceeded to wait in the breezeway. We were told it would be 20 minutes for the 4 people in my group to get seated. After 30 mins we went back to the lady seating people and asked how much longer, they said soon as there were 2 groups ahead of us and they were waiting for tables. We waited inside this time. About 15 minutes passed and we could see 5 empty and clean tables so we asked when we would be seated, they said again(with quite the attitude), soon, there are 2 groups ahead of us. We then watched them seat 4 other groups(with 4 people), then we asked for the manager as we had still not been seated. The manager came up, was very rude and told us she would seat us when she could. She got 3 more groups seated and then finally got us our seat. The food was ok, the server was nice but the entire restaurant was dirty. Cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, dead bugs on the windowsill(on the inside next to the table), bathrooms were disgusting and the list goes on. As busy as it was most employees not serving food were wandering around just talking with each other instead of helping get customers seated. The left hand definitely has no idea what the right hand is doing in that place, utter confusion. I will never go to this IHOP again, just horrible.

Service on Sundays SUCK! The wait is so long and there are tables ready. People are rude and manager finally came out after groups of people started complaining and sat all of us in minutes. Sad the staff can not do there job and she had to come out to do a job of 3. Need better workers that will work. The place is dirty with dead bugs by windows where we are trying to eat at with cobweb haning in each corner. Coming from out of state and comes to the area two times a month this will NOT be a place I will bring anyone to go again!

Restaurants with 24 hr breakfast and pictures on the menu are a no go for my wife; but with kids eat free every dinner and 4 kids, we couldn’t help but try it out. We were 5 adults and 4 kids. This was the best food and service I have received in quite some time. Frankly we could not believe we were in an IHOP. My aunt was visiting from Vienna, and even she was impressed with the quality. We certainly sampled a variety of their menu options: We had both sweet, and savory crepes, burgers, sandwiches, clam chowder, french toast, pancakes, It may be hard to take this review seriously, but the food was high quality, well prepared and in a timely manner. The server was very thoughtful and about 4 steps ahead as far as keeping our drinks full and our table manicured, with a steady supply of napkins and forks to replace the ones we kept dropping. My kids are terrible eaters, but here they«loved the good good pancakes with the sausage and yummy syrups.» They ate all their food. I should mention that we ate here on the way through Binghamton area between Washington DC and Ontario Canada. We liked it so well the first time, that we returned for another meal on the way back from Canada. It was even better the second time. Great place to eat; great food without a long wait, with or without children.

It’s an IHOP… would recommend for breakfast over other meals. I’ll usually get the Harvest Grain and Nut pancakes. Of course they have omelettes, french toast, etc. For dinner, I had gotten lemon chicken. I didn’t enjoy it very much… the sides weren’t much better, though they were more enjoyable than the main dish itself.
