West Side Yard

We recently held a Rehearsal Dinner event for 30 people at West Side Yard and could not be more pleased with the food, the service and the attention to detail shown by the management and staff. Everyone attending was from different parts of the country and enjoyed feasting on locally sourced Idaho trout, buffalo, sides and brews… The evening and event transcended perfect and achieved magic… Everyone had a great time.
If you are looking for a partner to help execute a business, social or large family event in the Jackson Hole/​Teton Valley area, look no further than West Side Yard. In our case, since we live in the Midwest, almost all arrangements were done by phone, email and text and were implemented in a timely, friendly and professional manner.

Happy to hang out with our dear friends; they suggested meeting up at West Side Yard in Victor. Excited, we responded with a resounding yes since I hadn’t visited this business in a few years.
We were lucky for a mild evening so the table on the outdoor/​side patio was just perfect. Service was a bit slow, but in all fairness, they seemed busy on a weekday, so that might have been the issue.
The menu had a mixed selection that was fairly priced. We opted for an appetizer that for the life of me, I can’t remember it’s name. It was a roasted garlic head with bread and a balsamic glaze that was yummy. The garlic head was a bit over cooked but still, such a treat to be found on any menu.
As a meal, I ordered the Portobello Mushroom Sandwich that did not disappoint. It was marinated to perfection and well cooked along with a very nice presentation. They let me substitute the fries for their homemade Corn Chowder, which was amazing and a great choice. The look of it was not as appetizing but certainly, very tasty.
On a whole, I wasn’t blown away, but certainly wouldn’t say no next time we have an excuse to dine here.
I did ask regarding live music and understand they don’t do that anymore. Big shame; the previous business had live bands from time to time and I really do miss that when I’m visiting the area.

The nachos with cheese is awesome! The two entrees we ordered are also beyond our expection.

Just had fantastic birthday dinner. The pork tenderloin was outstanding and my husbands hamburger was excellent. Was football night so the bar and patio were very busy, but the dining room was peaceful. Don’t judge it by its casual bar appearance, the food and service is excellent.

Very possibly the worst restaurant we’ve ever entered. Sat down while no one else was there other than a table that was nearly finished. We ordered and nothing came out. Lots of people came after U.S. And they ordered and were all served. We asked. Got an excuse.
Finally hummus came out that tasted worse than canned dog food– and who in hell serves hummus with tortilla chips?
Asked again. More excuses.
Asked again. Same.
Entire filled restaurant is eating.
Asked for check. That took 7 minutes.
Left.
Total waste of an hour and after seeing what else was served to others, we all agreed we were lucky we left without anymore food.

Stopped in after a long day of fishing. The Nachos and the Pork Tenderloin were a top 10. The service was outstanding.
This place is definitely worth a stop.

So we decided to stop in Idaho for some potatoes on our vacation and the BBQ place we wanted to go to wasn’t open yet… This was across the street and more importantly it was open. I’m glad we stopped by. This is definitely a pub environment so I stuck with my gut and went for appetizers, cus finger food is what bars do best right? I got some cheese covered fries and some guac and chips and both were fantastic.
I’m not sure if the fries were actually any better than normal, maybe we were just hungry or maybe it was just all in our heads because «Idaho Potatoes» but the fries were amazing.
The waitress was new but super awesome for our family of 7, thanks nameless waitress.
Also they have a freaking picture of Boba Fett riding Falcor… I want that. Seriuosly…

I am convinced this is the best food for at least a three hundred mile radius.
The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food is intensely flavorful and creative and delicious and there are so many incredible options to choose from. Do yourself a favor and make this your local go to spot, or just stop in next time you are within a hundred miles. This place is worth making a lengthy detour. Enjoy!

Absolutely the worst cheeseburger I have ever paid top dollar for. Disgraceful. Skinny Mc Donald’s type patty. At least Mickey D doesn’t burn it to a crisp. Inedible.
I feel that we have been taken advantage of I should’ve just asked for a bun and a slice of cheese.

Very impressed. Superb menu, knowledgeable waitstaff, local ambiance and the food was more than described.

Brilliant food options! They’re beer knowledge is spectacular. Justin was kind, informative, excited about his restaurant. He is an advocate for great food and great beer. The lamb loli-​chops with wasabi ginger Chimichurri was from the gods! It was braised for 8 hours using a local stout. Wow! Victor, Idaho– you have a gem of a place.

We came right when our waitress went off shift so we had two servers. Steve was very helpful.
We walked in the bar entrance but there were lots of kids at the pool tables. ?!
The bar was full and tables in that area were crowded. Very loud! Most were watching new year’s football games.
There is a separate dining area with tables, booths and a stage. Lots of outdoor patio picnic tables. Love their cool retro metal cage hanging light fixtures with bare bulbs.
Beautiful views east and west. Plenty of parking.
Now about the food which is the reason for our visit:
My husband raved about their lamb ribs. His bacon burger with smoked mozzarella was amazing. $ 2 more to get a house salad instead of soup or fries. It was ok. Nothing special.
I ordered the chicken pot pie burrito. It had lots of roasted veggies – yams, peas, celery, potatoes, onions, etc. with rice, shredded chicken and cheese. Yummy. Unfortunately, there were some chicken bones inside which ruined my experience.
We didn’t have time to try dessert and I really wanted chocolate. Sigh.

Have been in 3x now. Could go every day, if I was rich! Food has been amazing! Love the nachos, which are HUGE and layered with all the goodies. Menu has a pretty wide variety of foods. Deserts… must have the bread pudding! Add to all the great food the best beer selection anywhere in the two valleys, and it’s a perfect package. Décor is great now. Not over the top, but not a dive anymore.

Holy beer selection. Really good menu. Great wait staff. We really enjoyed this stop on our day trip to the area. Its possible we could have stayed all day with all the fantastic beer choices. They have 30 on tap. Get the yam fries and the lamb ribs. Yum.

If you’re visiting from the east coast and are a fan of Phantom Gourmet (Food show that claims to «secretly» review local restaurants in the Boston/​New England area) this place would be on it with 5 stars!
I believe 30 beers on tap some of the best micro brews from the region. The lamb appetizer was fall of the bone delicious. I got the steak yard sandwich and my room mate the rueben with pablano soup and house made friends and it was all amazing! The hand battered portabella fries were crisp on the outside and delicious and to top it off with the bread pudding and and ice-​cream I can’t say about bad thing about any of it. You can tell food and beer mean a lot to the owners and the view outside was relaxing. Great place to go whether you’re hungry or just thirsty!!!

if you go thru the bar entrance don’t be worried. Walk straight thru to the dining area where we enjoyed sitting outside under a covered area with a great breeze. food was very good and the Reuben proved to be our table’s favorite along with the bread pudding/​ice cream combo. The young man who served us was friendly and seemed genuinely interested in our enjoyment. We’re definitely returning to try the burgers!

Awesome bar with great food! There is a really nice loop drive from Jackson to Alpine to Victor to Jackson. This is a great place to stop on the home stretch.
Lots of veggie options and the beer is clearly chosen by guys who have a passion for what they do.

Seriously thou, incredible draft selection and good food –particularly the nachos!
