Kona’s Canine Cookies is a small home-based business, focused on providing your pets with fresh, wholesome, healthy snacks.
Our treats are vegetarian and gluten-free. We don’t add salt, sugar, flavorings, preservatives or colorings. There are only two main ingredients: rice flour and oatmeal. After baking, the treats are dehydrated to add crunch and help extend the freshness. Each 4-oz bag has approximately 15 – 17 cookies that are just larger than a quarter. Choose from our customer-favorite Peanut Butter or the light, crispy Veggie flavor.
The cookies are packaged in an environmentally friendly bag that is made from mostly recycled material.
History
Established in 2013.
Kona’s Canine Cookies sort of happened by accident. We were out of treats one day — something equivalent to an emergency in our household — so I decided to bake my own using ingredients I had in the kitchen. They were a hit! My dogs loved them and the benefit for me was that I wasn’t worried about what ingredients were going into the snacks. No more poring over labels while standing in the pet store.
A friend said other people might feel the same way about what they feed their pets. So, a few months later, Kona’s Canine Cookies was born!
