Mr Tire Auto Service Centers

Took my vehicle in for safety and emissions inspections. Failed safety because 2 of 3 bulbs in 3^rd brake light burned out. No problem. How much to replace them? $ 12 per bulb and $ 50 labor! Add tax and it’s $ 92! Changed them myself for $ 5.12, 4 screws, and 5 minutes. Scam artists!

I have brought vehicles here in the past for servicing but this past weekend had a problem with a tire, and rushed to get it in on a Sunday afternoon.
I met with Levi, who gave me a breakdown of a few different options. I would say that he was pretty easy to work with, and was willing to work with me to get my business, despite the price differential. It’s a tougher world for retailers now, but if you get a good competing price, Mr. Tire /​Levi might be able to hook you up via Pricematching. We had a lot of back and forth so I could get was was going on exactly.
My suspicion is that the prices are not the most competitive out there, particularly for labor. But it is in the Heart of Tysons which isn’t cheap. Be sure to checkout coupon options to make things a little most cost effective.

Went to install wheel spacer and I had wheel spacer with new bolts, then I noticed that they took my oem bolts and gave me old bolts belong to an old car like 1999 models because the bolts were in bad conditions and rusty, my car only has 12k and 2015 which impossible to be mine.
I didn’t have the time to go back.

If I could give this shady establishment negative stars I would. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. STAY AWAY!!!
I specifically stated several times to call me before any work was done. Indeed the manager (Levi Sadr) called regarding repairs and I politely declined them all (including a $ 16 battery clean when I can pick up a brush for $ 1). I then went to pick up my car and was shocked to hear my total. I simply wanted an oil change and came to find out a wheel balance was performed without my approval (I specifically DECLINED all repairs he recommended). His reasoning was that it must of been a miscommunication and stated they hate doing oil changes because «no one makes any money».
Levi Sadr is a cunning scammer who should be avoided at all costs. He will make threats towards you and swear at you on your way out when you call him out for being shady and a scammer.
Even if you have a coupon or has a convenient location– AVOID. If I knew this was going to happen, I would of happily drove 50+ miles to another mechanic who was trustworthy.

Very helpful and reliable center. I needed two tires replaced, and they were able to replace them with the exact ones I needed and with-​in a days time. It was a smooth experience that could have been terribly frustrating. I do believe a new manager has taken over this shop and has helped turn it around into a reliable, efficient and well managed car shop. Don’t be afraid to take your car here for its tire needs… they were great and communicative

Unprofessional. I had to wait for four hours after my appointment’s time and when it was the time for my tires to be installed they informed me that they can’t find the tires (although they did say they have them when I called earlier to schedule an appointment)

The reviews here tell the story, charged me $ 150 for a tire actually cost $ 70, and suggested that I replace another tire (which is still in good condition, I found it out by a following Inspection), luckily I had something scheduled and did not have time to change 2 tires, I only realized that I was ripped off later, I wish I had seen the reviews earlier.

After installing my tires my Tire Pressure Monitoring system had an alert going off. I took it back to Mr. Tire and they stated all my sensors were bad (they all worked 2 days prior when I dropped it off!) and that it was $ 200 to replace them all. I didn’t believe them and took it to the dealership and they were able to reset the TPMS in 5 minutes at no charge. Mr. Tire is trying to rip-​off its customers!

With an uplanned stranded family member the team at this location were above and beyond helpful. They were knowledgable, communicative and sensitive to the situation. They were timely and did a great job meaning our expectations in terms of the work that needed to be done and the time it would take to do the work. Very pleased with the customer service at this location.

I’m really happy with this location. After reading the reviews I was hesitant to go in but decided to do it because they had the best price and were convenient. They were good. They fit me in even though I didn’t have an appointment. When I needed tires I went back and they worked with me. I don’t have anything bad to say. I thought that they were honest, fast, and polite.

Against my better judgement I decided to give Mr. Tires in Vienna a try. Its convenient to my work. I had been disappointed by the Fairfax Station Store once too many times. A simple oil change always turned into a hunting license to find things they felt I needed done to my car — none of which I ever got done or had future issues with. My first experience with Mr. Tire in Vienna was more of the same. I had a coupon for an oil change ($ 19.95) but as it turns out I was charged $ 35 because my car uses 6 ½ quarts of oil and in the fine print the coupon only covered the first 5 quarts. I needed to plug a tire that had a nail in it. The said they dont plug tires but would patch it and then have to do a balance for $ 50. Ive had Exxon up the street plugs tires for $ 20. They later called and said they couldn’t patch it and that I would need a new tire at a cost of $ 135. They also charge a service fee (I think 10%) which they add on that they say is for towels and cleaning supplies??? This place is just greedy. Would not go back. In addition the tech backed my car into a dumpster when pulling it out of the garage and did about $ 1400 worth of damage… I’m not making this up. This caused me quite a headache having to drive around for estimates and to the body shop. They were not too helpful. Only after a lot of arguing and escalating to the District Manager was I able to get their insurance information and $ 90 off my bill. The District Manager (Armando) promised to call me the next day with a status update to the claim but I never heard from him again. Overall not the kind of place I would do business with.

I made an appointment online in the morning around 10AM for an oil change. I got to my 5:30 appointment 5 minutes early and was not begun to be taken care of until 5:40. I was asked what type of oil my car needed. Since I had put my information in the appointment online, and that they should know better then me, this was concerning. They told me it would be about a 45min — 1 hour. I came back after 45 minutes to wait in the waiting room. I waited over an hour and had to ask the guy if it would be ready soon in order for him to let me know it was in fact ready. I was irritated that it had taken so long and the guy proceeded to tell me that they didn’t have the right oil and had to wait for it. This confuses me because at 10AM that morning they should have seen through my online reservation that I was going to need that oil at 5:30. On top of that I was supposed to have my tires rotated and when they did that they clearly did not check the tire pressure as the light was on in my car when I drove away. I am very unhappy with the entire experience and a whole on top of the price. I have never paid as much as I did for an oil change before and altogether this was not a pleasant experience and I will not be going back.

It’s like going to a shady used car dealer. Overpriced, slow, and don’t care. Took almost 2 hours to get tires put on and cost $ 130 when it should have been half as much. People who love this place have more money then brains.

This was my first experience with Mr. Tire at 8397-​A Leesburg Pike, Vienna, VA 22 182. I decided to go the this store right down the road from my house and get new tires as well as the state inspection for the discount. During the inspection the inspector never put the oil cap back on. I can only assume this as this was the last place that touched my vehicle. I went to Nissan today ⁰⁶⁄₂₄ for a recall, otherwise I may not have found out about this issue. When they looked under the hood of the car there was no oil cap and oil was sprayed everywhere. I am not sure a state inspection requires an oil check. Anyways, this ended up costing me an additional $ 100.00.
Customer service was OK but, your commitments of fixed right the first time and earning my trust failed.

Just got home with my new tires and let this be a lesson to all of you. I was quoted X dollars at the store and then after waiting what seemed like a trimester I signed my doc work, paid and went on my merry way. Getting home I realized they just charged me 10 dollars each tire MORE than what was quoted. I know, its 40 bux, but you know its the concept of deception they used to capture that 40 bux. I would go back but I’m sure it’d be an hour before they refunded my money or what I feel they should refund me. Needless to say I’ll never go to this establishment again.

I know this service was provided a while ago, but I realized I never posted an update at the time and that’s an important part of the story. Originally I brought my car to Mr. Tire for an oil change and a side mirror replacement. The total estimate for the work came to $ 500, including several things they’d found «wrong» that I wasn’t aware of. The side mirror alone was quoted at $ 300 with labor.
I declined all services and took my car to a neighborhood service station I had heard about. How much did the mirror replacement with labor cost? $ 90. That is a HUGE difference. And they paint matched the part without me asking. They also changed my oil and didn’t find anything else wrong with the car. I will never, ever go back to Mr. Tire after this last experience I had with them, and I will make sure to warn others to stay away as well. It’s really a shame this happened after to many great years of service.

I have been coming to Mr. Tire at the Tyson’s location for about 4 years now to get my inspections done. My car is only 4 years old and well below 50k miles, no accidents, and well-​maintained. Last year, I took my car in and was told that I would fail my inspection since I had a scuff on one of my tires. This was strange considering I had taken the car in last year with the scuff and it passed. Since I was short on time and didn’t think too much about it, I agreed to let them change the one tire. I should have let that be a warning sign.
I took my car in for inspection again this year. This time, after waiting 2+ hours (I told the guy I would be back in an hour to pick it up — I ended up having to leave to make my other appointments), I was told the car would fail the inspection again due to leaking fluids. How odd considering my car has run perfectly since I’ve had it, and I have not noticed any fluid leaks in my garage. The technician asked if I would like them to perform service on the car — approximately $ 1,300+ to get it fixed so it would pass inspection. I declined and told him to fail it. He called back 10 minutes later and said he found cheaper parts bringing the total down to $ 1,000. I will reiterate that my car is still relatively new and well-​maintained. I declined again. After getting my car back, I took it to another inspection station — Surprise! My car passed. I talked to the technician there about the fluid leak. He said that there was a small leak in a minor part but it was not enough for Mr. Tire to have failed me. He also said that I did not have to replace the entire system that Mr. Tire was trying to get me to pay $ 1300 for. Not going back there again.

I brought my car in today to get an oil change. I had a coupon for $ 19.99 that stated Oil Change with tire rotation and tire pressure check. I came back to pick up my car and asked if they rotated the tires. The cashier looked at the statement of work and said «YEs, its right here.» I went out to my car and saw the only scratched rim that I have still in the front passenger location. I went in to clarify and he said, «Would you like us to rotate them now?» I was shocked and informed him that I was lied to and that this was very bad business. I asked for the manager and he was not available.
I went into my car and noticed a mile into my drive away that the tire pressure wasn’t checked either. I have my front drivers tire a bit higher, 5 psi to be exact once driven on, and believe it or not; it was the exact same! My music was also¾ volume when I got into my car! Horrible service!
I will be calling Julio tomorrow, and them proceed to take this as far up the chain as I am able to. This is unethical and illegal business practice and I hope nobody takes their business here. I certainly will never use this place again.

Overall I had a good experience. It’s one of the few shops in Tysons that are open on Sundays. I had a problem with my power window, and they were able to fix it before they closed for the day after I brought my car in on very short notice.
I rated it 3-​stars instead of higher because the labor hourly rate is higher than those at nearby shops. Also, they charged me two hours of labor even though the actual time was a bit less. That’s their policy of using book time. There are some shops that will charge the actual time if it’s less than book time, but Mr. Tire is not one of them.
Unfortunately, when I paid I didn’t know that its website offers coupons. :=(

Overall my experience was not terrible. The location of the mr. Tire is great since it is right by one of the new silver line metro stations. However my experience was not great because I took my car in for a slow leak in a front tire, which ended up meaning that I needed a new tire, which was no big deal. But when I picked up my car I noticed the tire pressure light was still on and when I got out of my car to check my tires, I noticed the back tire was now flat. I went inside and told the workers and they brought my car back in and fixed it (something happened when they balanced the tire). But I don’t know how they could of missed that one of my tires was flat as one of the employees went out to my car moments before I went to my car after paying.
