Accepting students from age 9 — 18 with basic to advanced experience on guitar, bass, drums, vocals, or keys, Pat Sommers’ Rock Shop takes a unique approach to teaching the young musician focusing on stage performance and perfecting musical abilities outside of traditional lessons.
Rock Shop is led exclusively by Pat Sommers, a true recording and performance artist in every sense of the word who has collaborated with Rock n’ Roll greats such as The Who’s Roger Daltrey, Kiss’s Ace Frehley, and legendary producer Eddie Kramer.
«Kids Wanna Rock» is a hands-on music workshop for less experienced students giving young musicians the opportunity to learn, grow, and perform for live audiences.
Advanced students, rehearse as bands focusing on stage performance, song writing, and perfecting music abilities. Our advanced students have regular opportunities for performing live in real music venues.
Pat Sommers’ Rock Shop also offers private music lessons.
History
Established in 2010.
Rock Shop was created and is exclusively led by Pat Sommers, a true recording and performance artist in every sense of the word, who has collaborated with Rock n’ Roll greats such as The Who’s Roger Daltrey, Kiss’s Ace Frehley, and legendary producer Eddie Kramer.

Business Owner
Pat’s rock credentials include touring with numerous bands (Jagged Steel, Cypress, Sticky) and recording with rock legends Ace Frehley of KISS and Roger Daltrey of The Who.
Pat’s musical collaborations in studio and on stage led to his performing and writing with Ricky Byrd of Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Jay Jay French of Twisted Sister, Elliot Easton of The Cars, Frank Carillo (currently touring with John Hammond’s band), Al Greenwood of Foreigner, and Ritchie Supa co-writer of Aerosmith’s platinum success single «Amazing» and hit single «Chip Away at The Stone».
