Priti Naik, DDS

I’ve been going to Dr. Naik for around six years now and I have no complaints. Unlike some other reviewers farther down I don’t think she’s ever pushed me into anything (I haven’t had my wisdom teeth removed, for instance, and since they don’t hurt she doesn’t think it’s a problem). Maybe this was an issue years ago, but I doubt it is now. She’s done 3 fillings for me and they’ve all gone very well. The hygienists are generally good and have caught the cavities both times before I even saw Dr. Naik. I’m a total wimp with dental procedures, and she was very patient and made it clear that I could stop her any time during the fillings. The office staff is definitely better than it was six years ago (when it was new) and the billing is clear. They’re also very clear about submitting procedures to your insurance. The office is nice and modern, and scheduling appointments is easy. Overall I would definitely recommend.

Have been going for over 5 years and have always had the most pleasant experience. The wait time is never more than 10 minutes. The staff are amazing and gentle. Dr Naik is very knowledgeable and informative. She provides options and explains everything in detail and is very patient and understanding. I’ve had several cavities filled, and one root canal, and I couldn’t recommend her any higher. I no longer dread going to the dentist with Dr Naik! Highly recommend!

Dr Naik is wonderful! She is pleasant and talented. I have referred friends and neighbors and would not go any place else.

Hands down a very talented dentist. She is an artist. Very meticulous, thorough, and knowledgable. I was in constant pain. I went to see Dr. Naik for fillings and she did an amazing job. Her staff is awesome as well. You feel welcomed and they have great bed side manners. Our whole family loves Dr. Naik and team!

I went to Dr Naik a few months back with the convenience of having a Saturday appointment. Today I went back for my appointment, very nervous as I hate going to the dentist!
Dr Naik was VERY gentle and made sure I was okay throughout the whole procedure (I had 4 fillings filled)
From the front staff, to the back staff everyone is very friendly and efficient! I also loved that Dr Naik was able to give me a breakdown of how much the office visit would be before I came in today as I was paying out of pocket. Some dentist offices are not able to do this and then hit you with a large bill after, so I really appreciated that. Very happy with Dr Naik, I will rather drive 40 min to see her than make an appointment and see my old dentist (who is only 5min away from my home).
They also used a color chart which they used in order to be able to match the fillings with the color of my teeth which I have never seen before. Very happy patient.
I will be referring everyone I know to this practice 5 starts for sure!

Dr Naik has wonderful bed side manners. She restored my faith in dentists. She takes good care of me when I go in. Dr Naik was very aware of my fears at Dentist’s offices. She has hand held me and explained the procedure. In addition, made sure I was comfortable every time I went in.

Wow; love Dr. Naik. I went in for a consultation for some major work I need to have done. They initially scheduled me for a cleaning to get a full eval done and see what their recommendations would be.
They hygienist did a fine job; no complaints.
Then I sat and talked with Dr. Naik for probably a good 20 – 25 minutes about my concerns, what my goals were, and what her thoughts were based on the cleaning & the evaluation/​consultation. It was no surprise that I needed to consider having several crowns, which I was ready for. Dr. Naik talked me through the options and her thoughts about what would be ideal to get the treatment done in a timely fashion.
I was able to schedule the work for the crowns and the root canals that also needed to be done (again; no surprise – I knew this was coming, and it was a LONG time coming & I needed to bite the bullet & get this done before my teeth got worse.) Scheduling was easy, and they were able to get me in without having to wait very long which was much appreciated & a nice surprise.
The lowest point in the experience was the endodontist – she was a little gruff and didn’t have great «chair-​side» manner about her, but she did two root canals and they’ve been feeling great for over 2 months, so no real complaints there.
Dr. Naik & her assistant cemented in my crowns about a week or so after the root canals & temporary crowns went on. This was a VERY good day and my crowns look wonderful! They’re on my top front teeth, and had been a personal issue for me for a long time.
I’m very pleased with Dr. Naik & her team for how kind and down to earth they were the whole time I was there. The office is modern & clean. The bathroom is in a shared area on the floor their office is on, so that’s a bit strange, but it’s not the worst thing.
I will definitely be back for a cleaning in a few months & for any other issues that might come up in the future.

Super modern office with a really friendly and down to earth staff! Dr. Naik is very honest, helpful, and has a very easy hand! I had fillings done last month and I almost fell asleep in the chair! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The office is conveniently located in the Tysons corner area, so it was very easy to get to here and back to work in a timely manner!

My wife introduce me to Dr, Priti about 3 years ago and she is so easy to get along with. I am a big Male that really doesn’t like th dentist at all. Dr, Priti understand my fear and discomfort and not liking hands inside my mouth and pain and needles. Make me shake just thinking of it.
She walk me through every thing and explained what needs to be done and she told me what needs to be done now and other can wait. Yes I will say it does come with a price tag. Either way If I was one that took good care of my teeth ahead of time then this could be a different story. I was able to pay it in payments that did not bust my bank.
Dr Priti was honest and she is there to help but also remember she has a business to run and reputation to spread. All of her colleagues have been very nice and pleasant with me.
Speaking of the receptionist and I am not sure if this is the same as Ben was talking about but she help me the other day. I could not find my dental insurance card and I had a new card and she was able to pull it up and she put a smile on my face. When I say smile it is because I can smile. Dr Priti put this smile in my mouth so I can show my pearly whites. lol. I can not see Priti every being pushy and hard on sales. She tells you what she sees and if you do want to do then that is cool with her.
The only complaint I have it is when Dr Priti installs a temporary tooth and while they make a new crown well the temporary tend to fall out. She needs to improve this. This happen to me and my wife. Sorry Doc.
All of my Family see Dr Priti My wife and 3 sons. I also tell my friends and they too like her. Just the facts and facts tells the truth.
I used to use Groupons but I do not like them anymore. No good stuff and no deals. Not all practices are for every one and each and eveyone needs to find a place that makes them happy. Including the guy that went back to his dentist that he has seen for 30 years and his Dentist said you are fine. Hello what did you think he would have said. If he have been treating you for 30 years. Lol
could have said more but I really like Dr Priti she is honest and fair and wants you to come back again and again.

I’ve been going here since 2010. The office is very clean and modern. I had one problem with one hygienist, and after that asked Dr Naik to clean my teeth personally. She is happy to do so, and uses a numbing gel to protect my sensitive teeth. She is very gentle and friendly. I’ve not had any cavities since I’ve been going here, so I can’t talk about that experience.
I do have receding gums and the periodontist, Dr Bari, is also very friendly. I’ve had 3 gum grafts done by her, which all went fine, healed nicely, and alleviated my nerve pain.

Dr. Naik provides some of the best, professional and courteous dental care in the Northern Va area. She and her staff make everyone feel welcome and go out of the way to help you get the most of your dental care. Family members from our grandmother to our children have seen her and she’s treated each with respect and kindness. We appreciate her approach and value her services.

I have been seeing Dr. Naik for 2 years now and would highly recommend her practice. The office is state of the art with new equipment and TV’s at each bench. The staff is quick, friendly, and gentle when it comes to cleanings (which is a plus!).
Dr. Naik is extremely knowledgeable and takes plenty of time to personally examine all of my teeth and x-​rays. She then walks me through any areas of concerns and answers any questions that I may have. She is extremely friendly, and I feel very comfortable with her guidance. I just had an appointment this week, and left with great news and a bright smile!
Additionally, I have seen great results from the take-​home teeth whiting treatment from Dr. Naik and would recommend to others.

Dr. Naik, is very nice, I really like how she isn’t pushy and tries to sell you everything under the sun. She gave me her diagnosis, and the pros and cons of each treatment. I really liked her down to earth attitude. I love how she showed me the x-​rays so that I could see what she was talking about. I have never had anyone ever do that before.

100% great — clean, modern, awesome, friendly office. If you get there early — there’s a desk to do work at in the waiting room with wifi. She has always been on time with me.

Most recently, I had a great consultation on whitening, and advice on a chipped tooth… then I got a quick clean and cavity inspection… and most importantly I was out in time for my meeting.
Excellent experience, service and dentist!

I’m also a Grouponer visiting the site of an old cleaning to see how this place is doing now. I had an especially poor visit with a very negative view of their front desk and customer service and was wondering if that were normal. It seems reviews on this place are split, with people complaining Dr. Naik is way too conservative (or aggressive, depending on your POV) with her assessments. And a few chiming in about the poor receptionist which, unless they’ve had a staff change, I wholeheartedly agree with! I came here in 2010 so I would hope they have a new receptionist by now or she’s improved greatly by now.
As far as the expensive estimates, I’m one of the 2% of people that actually has earned such exorbitant diagnoses so I can’t speak to that. I’ve had a lifelong and mostly unpleasant relationship with multiple dentists, oral hygienists, orthodontists, oral surgeons, periodontists, etc. I’ve had some truly crappy pros have a go at my mouth with sharp instruments and a couple really good ones. I don’t remember much of the actual dental visit so that’s probably a good thing. If I thought Dr. Naik was a poor dentist at the time, I would definitely have remembered. Maybe she did give me an expensive prognosis but I was probably a) used to that and b) had already decided I was not returning before I sat in the chair.
What I was completely turned off about on my visit one grey autumn morning in late 2009/​early 2010 was the receptionist literally never looked up from her screen when I came in. Later she walked into the patient room and announced that she had just sold her car online. That’s why she was so distracted when I first walked into the waiting room and couldn’t bother to look at me. Then while I was filling out the paperwork, I asked to see their privacy policy which for some reason they hadn’t included in all the sheaths of paper handed to me. I could literally hear the receptionist talking shit about me to the dentist asking in a derisive tone why I was bothering to read it over. And when I glanced up they were both looking at me. The waiting room might be nice, but it is not that big at all. And I was the ONLY patient there. HELL NO was my reaction to that, but I still needed to get my Groupon’s worth of cleaning.
The receptionist seemed young, immature, and unprofessional. My first thought is she is a relative of the dentist. Hopefully she has gotten some better training or been replaced. There is no way a person in their right mind is going to trust nor subject themselves to a health care provider who runs an office like.
Otherwise, I don’t have the same complaints about the actual dentist that others have.

Best dentist in the world! Hardly any wait, nice new equipment and TVs while you’re in the chair, friendly knowledgeable staff, and flexible times for appointments.
Honestly, I have no idea what some of these other reviewers are complaining about. I’ve never had any extra services placed on me, have had work done by both the hygienists and the Doctor herself, and have never been pressured for any additional services.
She’s not the first dentists I’ve visited in the Northern Virginia area, but she’s definitely the last one I’ll ever have to look for — I’m sticking with Dr. Naik for good.

Just had another dental cleaning. I spent 2 minutes in the waiting room (just enough time to check my email on the free workstation) and then I proceeded to have my teeth cleaned along with a fluoride treatment.
The assistant (and Dr. Naik) explained how they do floride treatments because the water we drink often does not have enough of it.
I found the office to be extremely clean, bright, pleasant, and it looks like a well run ship. Everyone there seemed to be in a good mood and I can tell that the staff enjoys their work and they take pride in the practice.
One nice thing about Dr. Naik’s practice — they have gone paperless. I really like the friendly email reminders and you can opt in/​out for SMS reminders for appointments.

Both my husband and I tried her while searching for dentists.
She did the cleaning herself. She took xrays, that were instantly digitized, and displayed on an LCD screen for me to see. She pointed out what she said were several cavities on the screen. I’ll be honest, I’m not a dentist, but I didn’t see anything. She also said that my previous dental work was going to need to be re-​done.
After doing her best to scare me with her giant magnifications of the inside of my mouth, she handed down a «treatment plan» that outlined all of the work that she decided I «needed», and the «budget» that would allow me to pay for what it was going to cost me. And then came the high pressure tactics to get me to schedule the first procedure right away.
Fortunately, I’ve had several friends succumb to the multi-​level-​marketing shams, and I’ve learned how to handle high-​pressure sales pitches.
Instead, I got a second opinion. Guess what? No cavities. And my previous dental work was just fine. ***18 months later, I’ve been seen 3 times by my dentist, and still no cavities. Not one.***
The kicker? I called to have my records faxed to my new dentist. At that point, I was told that all records were digital, and that emailing was the preferred method of transfer. Dr. Naik had the audacity to try to CHARGE me to release my records to my new dentist.
For anyone who wonders, it is legal in virginia only to charge reasonable costs associating with the transfer of records. That would include paper, envelope, stamp, the cost of a CD if mailed digitally, or charges incurred to fax long distance, etc. It does not cost anything to send an email. I refused to pay the fee, and informed the office staff of why I did not feel they should even ask me to, and was promised a call back from Dr. Naik to discuss the fee. It’s been a week, and no call back. I’m not surprised.
***UPDATE*** Upon reading my review, Dr. Naik reached out, and apologized for my experience. She also offered to release my records at no charge, and said that clearly there had been a breakdown in communmication in her office as nobody had told her that I had called or had concerns. I really appreciated this. Though she stood by her original diagnosis and suggested treatments, I am satisfied with the over-​all end result. As a result of her email to me, I have given another star back, bumping her up from one to two.

I had a similar experience with Dr. Naik as many others who have posted reviews. She actually cleaned my teeth herself, rather than having a hygienist do it. While she was very nice, I question her ability and ethics as a dentist. She poked my gums so hard that they started to bleed. She scared me by saying that my teeth were in bad shape and that some dental work I had done in the past was going to have to be redone and seemed to be after getting me to come back for more expensive procedures.
I then went to my old dentist in Cincinnati, who has been a dentist for over 30 years. I told him what Dr. Naik said and asked him to check out those issues. He said that my teeth looked fine and so did the dental work that Dr. Naik said was no good.
I will never go back to Dr. Naik. She seems more interested in scaring patients into spending more money with her than practicing good dentistry.

I have been seeing Dr. Naik for a while now and have always received amazing service. I’m a doctor myself and am very choosy when it comes to my healthcare. I was surprised to read some of the negative comments on here, since I have never felt like anything but the best care was being given to me, and have always appreciated her concern for my gums/​teeth.
I even had an old filling come out (from my prior dentist) and Dr. Naik took me in that SAME DAY and fixed it. If you want some personal attention and quality care, i have no doubt Dr. Naik’s office is a good fit for just about anyone.
