Smile Design & Wellness Center

This center is awesome. Every person who works here seems to be super knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and totally professional. By the time I left there after my first visit I felt like I’d just been tended to by the dream team of Dentistry!
By the way, their office has moved to Village Dr (Right near the intersection of Murrell and Viera Blvd).
First off, Dr Edwards and his staff actually took time with me! The appointment took longer than I’m accustomed to but I received 100% great service with attention to my comfort while I was waiting and the most detailed exam I have ever had. The staff definitely did not hustle me in and out of there, like I’ve been used to in the past. I’ve been to several dentists over the years who just popped in at the end of a cleaning, poked around in my mouth for 5 seconds, said «Looks Good» and rushed out to see the next patient. Next thing I knew, I lost a tooth from damage I didn’t know I had!
Now that I’ve been to Smile Design I will never go anywhere else again. Members of the staff really spent time getting to know my history before I saw the Dr. Then Dr. Edwards gave me a comprehensive new patient exam assessing my bite, wear patterns, gum health, jaw muscles and just about everything I’ve never had anyone bother to spend time on before. He examined me using a high powered microscope and found pockets of decay just starting and chips, cracks and even fractures that weren’t yet visible to the human eye. I could see for myself what he could see because he has a big monitor on the ceiling that projects what he’s looking at and he points it out as he goes. He showed me where my bite was causing damage and wear to my teeth. He broke everything down for me in terms of priority and necessity, habit changes and also talked about things that I could do that were more cosmetic in nature. He told me which issues were emergent and went over plenty of options to address them.
No doubt in my mind Dr Edwards and his staff are in it to heal-​holistically and they know what they’re doing! They looked at everything with the goal of getting to the root cause of the issues in my mouth. Im incredulous that this is not the standard of care everywhere for dentists in this country.
He’s out of network with my insurance company but they still picked up parts of it. As for the rest, he was worth every penny. After seeing all the things this dentist found and the other dentists missed (and even created in some cases) Smile Design and Wellness Center is a no-​brainer, The icing on the cake was the awesome and detailed cleaning I received afterwards. I even learned how to floss my teeth differently after 40 years! Highly Recommended

Dr. Chris Edwards is an awesome dentist! His office is high tech and clean and he’s one of most highly trained dentists around. I’m a dentist myself so I should know. He safely removed 6 of my mercury fillings using safe protocols and helped me get mercury free in my mouth.
He’s always doing the very best for his patients and went over all my recommendations even though he knows I’m a dentist too. Just shows how thorough he is. BTW, did I mention I flew out from California to see him? I met him at a study club and I knew that he was the right dentist for me.
He used a microscope during the procedure which helped him be a precise as he can. He also used air abrasion to help strengthen the bonding. I know this stuff not make sense to some patients but basically it means he goes the extra mile for the best results. BTW, he doesn’t even charge extra for these extra technological toys and he really takes him time during procedures so you never feel rushed. He’s a true perfectionist which is what you want in a dentist.
Go see him if you need cosmetic dentistry, dental implants and especially if you’re having health issues you may think are tied to your teeth. I forgot to mention he also holds a naturopathic degree which makes him one of top holistic dentists around!

I had heard many great things about Dr. Edwards and his office prior to my first visit. I am happy to say that everything I had heard was true right from the very first phone conversation with Lisa, his office administrator.
Like many people I have been through my share of dentists over the past 40 or so years. Dr. Edwards is by far the most knowledgeable and highly skilled dentist I’ve met. His expertise and capabilities go far beyond the typical basic dentistry. He is up to speed on all of the latest tools, techniques and procedures to make even the most challenging procedures safe
The staff at Smile Design Center is among the best I’ve seen. Very courteous! If there’s even a chance my appointment might be delayed by even 30 minutes, they will call to let me know so I don’t have to spend unnecessary time waiting.
Dr. Edwards recently performed a skin graft procedure on one of my lower front teeth to fix a skin graft (performed by a previous dentist) that had fallen off. The night after the procedure Dr. Edwards called my at home to see how I was doing. Never in 45 years has a dentist done this for me? Also, during this particular appointment, Dr. Edwards had been running a little behind schedule and he and his staff were extremely apologetic about the delay.

I spend part of the year in Florida, and am lucky to have found Smile Design Center.
The staff is wonderful, and the office is a very welcoming environment that does a lot to soothe nerves if dentists make you nervous. The office seems to have a lot of new technology to make procedures less painful and have a quicker recovery.
Dr. Edwards is a great dentist– he is very smart and courteous, and always lets you know what is being done to your teeth, and very honest about work you might need done, but there’s never any pressure. His hygienists are all very nice and efficient, too.
