This awesome butcher shop is literally across the street from where I live, and I try to get to this place as much as possible. Great prices and awesome choices of meats (organic/​grass fed etc.) and awesome deli for your sides You won’t find a friendly butcher shop like this anywhere.

My family has been going to this place for years! The service is A+ and the quality of the meat and food is outstanding! I love all the fresh side options in the deli section as well.
I always make it a point to get food here when I am in town.

Simply the BEST! They have the worlds greatest Queso Dip, huge hit for parties. All their meat is excellent. Their store is SUPER CLEAN and friendly customer service.

Great selection of meat, cheeses, salads! On top of that, very clean and every single employee is very friendly and personable. I definitely recommend Mikes Meat Market to anyone looking for quality meat.

Mikes Meat Market has a very good fresh meat counter as well as seafood and fresh deli. The garlic mashed potatoes are excellent. Actually all of their deli items are very good and the freshly baked cranberry walnut bread is A++. I buy from them on a weekly basis. Very helpful staff as well and they keep a clean store.

Great selection, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Small, clean. Got great pork chops and fresh asparagus. Wish they had more fresh veggies and fresh juice so I would not have anyplace else!

If you are looking to save some money this is not the place for you! Besides that I get steaks and burgers from here all the time. This place is great!

I have been a big fan of Mike’s for a long time. Never got a bad piece of meat and great service and helpful advice for prep. The deli is superb with wonderful salads made fresh and huge sandwiches. Yesterday I decided to try their homemade Irish bangers. Haven’t found bangers in the US to equal their Irish cousins. Well these sausages not only equal those I found in Ireland, they were better! Mike’s also carries a full line of rashers, black & white pudding for those of us with a taste for Irish cooking. A real old time meat market in all the best ways.

Lovely little deli. The customer service is outstanding! They have good selection, fresh food, and it’s a very clean place. They also sell deli sandwiches that they make to order and they are so so good. they The only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is definitely a little pricey.

Haven’t had a bad experience there yet. They are extremely helpful and ready to advise you on how to cook a specific dish if needed. Their meat is fresh and they have many entrees already put together that you can purchase. They are now open on Sundays so it’s a perfect place to stop in for last minute bbq items. The grocery section is minimal and they do not carry any organic vegetable or fruits that I could see.

The filet minon we recently got here may have been the best I ever had! Love that I can swing by here and get everything I need for a great BBQ for twenty of my friends or just dinner for my husband and I. They have a great red potato salad and their fresh mozzarella cheese was perfect for my caprese salad. Love going here!

When I recently decided to splurge on a beef tenderloin to prepare for some guests I was entertaining, I asked around as to where the best place to obtain my meat would be. Mike’s was the clear winner as far as fan favorite, and I can see why. Their cases overflow with beautiful cuts of meat, cold cuts and everything else you’ll find standard in a deli.
Tho not much on looks from the outside, the market inside is very tidy, clean and professional looking. It also doesn’t have that «deli smell» you find in other places.
There’s an assortment of convenience groceries available, dry goods and the like, but I’ve never taken much interest in them. My favorites are the meat.
I ordered my tenderloin over the phone, so when I came to pick it up it would be clean, stringed off and ready to prepare. I wasn’t disappointed. Every bit of fat was delicately trimmed off for me. It was probably the most buttery, melt-​in-​your-​mouth piece of beef that I’ve ever cooked.
I’d definitely go back. And I want to try some of the prepared foods they have in their fridge section. They look incredible.
Don’t come here expecting discount prices. You get quality, but you pay for quality.

My bf and I recently moved to Elmhurst and were looking for a place to buy a good steak. Randomly drove by this place one day and decided to try it out… Boy, am I glad we did! EVERYONE in this place is super friendly and helpful and their meats are amazing! Prices are suprisingly reasonable, and to be honest, well worth it!
I came in here expecting to pay more than I would at those big chain grocery stores, and was pleasantly surprised to find they really weren’t that much more. But the quality is MUCH better. They also make to-​go sandwiches and custom sandwiches in the deli, which are also amazing!
We will definitely be back and I highly recommend this place!

I have been coming to Mikes for some 5 years now, and this is my favorite butcher in the area. The quality of the meat here is top-​notch. I don’t mind spending a little more for good food. I wish the location were more convenient for me, but I don’t mind going out of my way for the good stuff. I’m a big fan of the steaks here, and the pork. The butterfly pork chops never disappoint. They are lean and friggin’ tender. Can’t buy that at Jewel.
The grocery items can be a bit more pricey, but they have quality items. I bought a tiny bottle of balsamic vinegar for $ 5, but damn did that make a good tomato salad. Oh, and I bought the tomatoes there. They were ripe and ready to eat that very day, but they tasted almost like they came out of my garden. Really good stuff.
The employees also deserve kudos. Everybody is friendly and ready to help. I’ve never been disappointed.

So this little market is located in what looks like a run down strip mall, but my husband swears by it so we walked on in. I was so pleasantly surprised! The men behind the meat counter were so knowledgable about their products, couldn’t have been more helpful, and they even recommend how to cook whatever you order! There was a huge variety of meats, fish, and seafood, as well as some semi prepared things like stuffed mushrooms, fajitas, etc. Yeah, prices are a bit higher, but everything is cut fresh and prepared in house, and the customer service rocks.
They also have a deli and grocery section which I did not check out but will be back for some meats!

Located in a strip mall on the SW corner of Villa and St. Charles, Mike’s Meat Market has a great selection and quality of meats as well as side items for any occasion. I purchased some ribs and a roast for a barbecue. The prices were competitive for what I was looking for and the meat ended up being quite meaty. Some items, however, seemed a little pricey considering it was only a slight upgrade. I got rave reviews for the ribs, which I give myself very little credit for putting on the rub as the smoker did most of the work!
Service was pretty good, too. I also go for their Thursday sandwich special ($ 3.50 for their regular $ 4.98 sandwiches) and they provide some good recommendations (Tavern ham and salami). Since the line can be long due to the holidays, I’ve had people take my purchase over to the meat counter and pay there. Overall, a solid place for your special purchases and to check out.

These guys are the real deal. Endless options of fresh meats. From pre-​made kabobs, stuffed chicken and fish, to flank steak, lamb, and beef. Also, a wide selection of fresh made salad and slaws. They have a small selection of fresh produce and a wide selection of frozen, pre-​made meals. They are your one stop summer BBQ shop, they have it all!

Trying my hand at tapas and a recipe called for lamb. WHAT? I’ve never cooked lamb before. When I read «lamb», there was only one place I wanted to visit where I knew I’d get good quality meat. MIKES! When the butcher asked me how I was cooking it (marinated and grilled) he steered me away from the chops and suggested leg of lamb. Um, yeah. You did hear I never cooked lamb before, right? He offered to cut up the lamb in the needed portion sizes and promised me that leg of lamb will be just fine. Taking his suggestion, the price of my purchase was much less than if I went with chops. Bonus for saving me money!
If you visit, check out the produce as well. There’s not a very large selection, but on that particular day I found bunches of asparagus that was much bigger and cheaper than my local produce market. Bonus again!
