Quality awning, horrible communication.
I have no problem with the product at all. It is what was discussed with the salesman and exactly what I ordered. The customer service left quite a bit to be desired. They scheduled three install dates and cancelled all three on the day of… Two missed work days for me and one for my wife. They finally scheduled an installation appointment that they kept, showed up early, before my wife got home from work and installed the awning in the wrong location.
Their scheduler Penny was not in a hurry to send a crew back out to fix the problem. After several «one way conversations» between Penny and myself and a few calls to the original salesman they came back and put the awning in the correct location.
Decent product, but if you are in a hurry or have a busy schedule… I’d pass.

We began discussions with A&A Awnings & Rollshutters, a division of A&A International, Inc., back in February 2009 for printed awnings for our store. We were told that the gentleman who had been helping us through conversations and emails was no longer employed with this company and that Mike, the Owner and President, would be assisting us. I spoke with Mike approximately 4 times about our requirements and he agreed to assist us. He met with my husband to finalize the contract. My husband provided Mike a picture and he told us that he could do the work. He wrote up the contract, we paid him, and he proceeded to do the work. However, the awning he installed was too short and looked nothing like the picture that he and my husband had discussed.
When confronted with the facts, he refused to do the work without charging us another $ 1100.00 for awnings for which we had already paid approximately $ 5,000. The awnings, as delivered and installed were too short and not according to our multiple discussions and pictures that his previous staff member had shared. He told us that the pictures were irrelevant and that the contract didn’t include the pics that his company had sent us!
While he seemed like a nice guy when we contracted with him and he promised to do the work at a reasonable cost and on time, he missed his deadline by 10 days and his product was not delivered according to what was agreed upon.
I would never deal with him again and recommend that you don’t either. As a reasonable business woman, I admit my mistakes and assist the customer with a mutually beneficial solution. As a dessert shop owner, if the customer comes in a purchases a special order product and we make a mistake, we refund the purchase price and do not ask for the customer to pay us more money to get the mutually agreed upon product.
I also warned Mike that if he didn’t fix this problem in a mutually satisfying way, that I would Unilocal him and take him to court, both of which I am doing based on his horrible performance. I will also report him to the Better Business Bureau so that other customers don’t have to go through what we went through.
