A World of Children is an extension of your family, where we care for your child like our own. Privately owned and operated, we provide the best pre-​school and private kindergarten in the Tidewater area. A World of Children has been serving the community for 20 years and have had the same staff over 10 years. Parents choose us for providing their child with a home away from home inclusive of an educational and caring environment.

We currently offer:

–Pre-​school

–Full Day Kindergarten with computer classes (Cedar Rd only)

–Half-​day (upon request)

–Before and After School Programs

–Summer Camp

History

Established in 1993.

A World of Children opened its doors on Holland Road in Virginia Beach in 1993. Five years later, we saw a need for a privately owned pre-​school in Chesapeake and opened our second location on Cedar Road in 1998.

Born and raised in Chesapeake, Vicki has always loved children. A mother herself, she saw a need for more child care facilities in Virginia Beach and opened A World of Children in 1993.
