Classic Air’s One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning

I am so over dealing with them. We had a tune up in November. Two weeks later the TXV valve failed. We paid over $ 800 to have it fixed. Fast forward to February. On the 19^th we had no heat. Called and they sent a tech. Twelve hours later he had barely spoken to any of us. I had to call the office to find out that the part from November had failed. He had our unit torn apart. Fixed it. It worked for about a week. Then it stopped again. Called them, system was undercharged from the last repair. Fixed it. Two days later no heat. They called me to see how things were going. Explained we have no heat. Tech comes out. Thinks same part is bad. He leaves says he is coming back with a supervisor next day. They show up. Check system and determine that when they replaced the part the tech got it to hot and fried it. Sent another tech out the next day. He says he replaces the part but that doesn’t seem to be the issue. They want York tech support to be on site the next day. We wait for call. Finally they call and tell us that York can’t be in site but will be available by phone. Tech shows up, they think it’s a reversal valve. Surprise it’s a compressor. It took 8 people over three weeks to determine that. They want me to pay an additional $ 1800 over what I just paid in November. Sorry about your luck not happening. I have not had heat for three weeks. I can’t get someone who knows what they are doing. I’m not a happy camper. I will be calling the BBB and possibly 10 on your side.

My AC went out and a friend suggested l call One Hour. First turn off was the receptionist asking how did l hear about the company. Well duh, TV and radio you boob! Then they tell you about the screening process for hiring, ok whatever. An appointment was set and the tech was on time. He asked the same question, how did you hear about us. After checking my system he told me I needed a wire replaced which would be $ 169 or $ 119 if l signed up for membership, l agreed to pay the higher price no membership. The tech went back to the attic and came right back down stating that he had bad news. l needed to replace the ”primary circuit board” which would be $ 999. l thanked him for his time, paid the $ 69 service fee and sent him on his way. A friend gave me the name of a guy she uses and guess what he found all my wires crossed up and l don’t even have a circuit board. lf l could give them less than one star I would.

i had good work done by the company, which according to everyone was, was like way overpriced. I had the worst customer service experience talking to Eric, who is supposed to be a manager. the way he talked to me was unprofessional and unaccepatable and based on that one conversation, i would never spend another dime on them nor would i recommend them to anyone.

I had One Hour install my A/​C unit at my condo and everything went great so when I was having problems with A/​C unit at my new house I gave them a call. It all went downhill from there. The technician came out on time and started promptly. He came in saying the unit was low on freon and that the bolts were loose causing the leak. One problem with that is One Hour were the last to touch those bolts when giving the unit it’s spring checkup. Got a blank look on that comment and the subject changed quickly. He fixed whatever he supposed to fix charged a big price but took some to join there service program. Three days later the unit was vibrating so bad it shook the walls so we called them out again. Different tech serviced the unit and he could not find nothing wrong with the unit. Did have a suggestion that it was the freon warming up in the pipes and the pipes have come away from the brackets in the wall. That was what was causing the vibration. My problem is that the unit is two years old and has never done that before One Hour worked on it. Now for a third problem me unit is coming on for about 30 seconds and shutting off over and over. So now I have another problem after One Hour worked on the unit and yes it still vibrates the house. Needless to say I will not be calling One Hour for this third problem and once this service contract is up I will be cancelling. DO NOT BELIEVE THE COMMERICALS!!!

Absolutely horrible customer service. They are extremely unprofessional and unwilling to work with military service members who move away after signing a Comfort Club 12 month membership.

Complete rip off. They have extreme markup on prices and will charge 100-​??? percent more then what they paid for the part. Furthermore they talk you into a contract with their company to get a discount. Even with the discount the parts are overpriced. I had a control board go out on a Rheem HVAC inside unit. They have set prices. 699.00 with contract and 999.00 without. I called parts department at Rheem headquarters after they left and the price is $ 219.00 for the exact same part. So 470.00 to install a part that took you 10 minutes??? Or 770.00 if you don’t sign up with there 1 year service contract! It is so sad that greed controls this country and this company is beyond greedy. They will rip you off stay away. I am so angry they need to go out of business.

This company will RIP YOU OFF! They tried to charge me $ 1,000 for AC work on my unit as it was not cooling when another company did it for $ 250! They tried to over-​charge me for everything, even tried to charge me $ 120 to install three missing end caps, similar to screws that cost under $ 1 each. The company I got second opinion from did the caps for free and laughed when they heard One Hour was going to charge me $ 120. Also, they added refrigerant for only $ 200 when One Hour wanted over $ 500 for the same thing! Ridiculous! Do not hire these guys, they will over charge you and rip you off big time! I spoke to manager about situation and was very courteous about it as I am in the customer service industry but Eric, the manager, did not care at all. I now have to fight them through my credit card as they charged me $ 200 and did nothing to fix my problem.

Hmm I missed reviewing these guy my BAD! We 1^st contacted them when we had issue with a/​c a few summers ago they came out on a Saturday NO EXTRA charge just standard rate’s had it all fixed the next day (yes sunday needed part) all very reasonable and we signed up for a service plan! We went about a year with great service! then the 5 year old compressor died on a Saturday Night! No issue they confirmed with two techs it was dead, SUNDAY a sales person met with us and gave us the options. I build houses and I know a good HVAC system and a good deal, their price was reasonable and with an upgraded system it came with a 3 year Warranty and 24÷7÷365 SERVICE! If you just need service or a whole new system give them a call they will make you happy!
