Comfort Inn & Suites Virginia Beach – Oceanfront

I had arrived on Tuesday evening around 5 pm. William was at the front desk and he was warm and welcoming. I did have a reservation and was checked in in less than 5 minutes.
The hotel is nicely decorated very clean.
The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. There was even and extra blanket on the bed. The only thing lacking was counter space in the bathroom.
Hot fresh coffee is in the lobby ²⁴⁄₇.
Breakfast was very good and hot.
This hotel is not as expensive as some… I don’t know why
It was better than most of the high end chains I’ve stayed at along the east coast.

We honeymooned here in May of 1982 when this location was a Holiday Inn fast forward to 2016 and now a Comfort Inn, the beauty of the complex is how it was designed because that is timeless. The change has made improvements to furnishings and such but the location is perfect your right in the middle of everything plus the beach view rooms are to die for. Fot a honeymoon or a weekend getaway this place is outstanding.

LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION! This place is located on the corner of 21^st and Pacific and it’s right in the middle of all that is important. Instant access to the beach or the boardwalk. You can watch fireworks from your balcony, and overlook the ocean to watch the sunrise!
Free breakfast in the morning. It’s a help yourself small buffet, but it has the basics. Pancakes or waffles, bagels or toast, cereal, yogurt, eggs, bacon, sausage, etc… Coffee, OJ, cranberry juice.
HELPFUL staff! Our every need was met, and every question answered. PROMPT and FRIENDLY!
I WILL return to this hotel. Very kid friendly.

Very nice, updated, and clean rooms and hotel inngeneral! I was really impressed! Decent, and comparable prices! The breakfast was AWESOME! The pool, hot tub and workout room were really NICE! I will return! Friendly staff as well!

Location/​Parking: The hotel is located at the corner of 21^st Street and Pacific Ave. If you come in via 264, 264 becomes 21^st Street, and it ends at Pacific Ave. The hotel is on your left as soon as you turn right onto Pacific Ave. There is a small parking lot/​pull through in front of the hotel. You need to get the parking permit from the front desk before parking in their garage. Parking is complimentary (one car per room). Garage access to the hotel is on the 3^rd and 4^th floors. It is in the middle of the boardwalk, really convenient to all the restaurants/​bars/​street entertainments… etc. Needless to say, it has super easy access to the beach.
Room: We got the two queen suite. The two beds were in two separate «rooms» in the suite, with bathroom and kitchenette (sink, small fridge and microwave) in the middle. The inside room had sliding door. This is great for friends to share a room and still have some privacy. The rooms were very clean and each room had a nice view to the ocean. Each bed had 4 pillows, 2 soft and 2 firm. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The towels were also very soft and fluffy, which is a definite plus.
Breakfast: complimentary breakfast with lots of choices:
— freshly made (by machine) pancakes
— 2 types of make-​your-​own waffles
— 5 hot items: Day 1 included bacon/​cheese omelets/​home fries (potato cubes) biscuits/​gravy. Day 2 included sausage/​scrambled eggs/​ham)
— bagel, white/​wheat sliced bread
— muffins, danishes, cinnamon rolls
— yogurt, cereals (in boxes)
— oatmeal, grits, hot chocolate
— coffee, juices, milk (2% and skin)
— apples, oranges and bananas
Staff were all very friendly and helpful. One thing to note is that the hotel charges $ 1 a day for the safety box in the hotel room. If you did not use the safety box in the room during your stay, they were supposed to refund the charge upon request. This is stated in writing on the form you sign/​initial when you check in. When I requested the refund upon check out, the front desk said they need to check with the manager. I got the refund… I think. I will know for sure when the charges are posted on my credit card.
Security: The hotel requires room key or access card to enter from Atlantic Ave or the parking garage. And they asked for the room number when you go to the breakfast room.
Additional information: there is beach umbrella/​chair rental on the beach. The one closest to the hotel charges $ 15 for the beach umbrella and $ 25 for the cabana. We enjoyed the nice shade in the cabana and the convenience of not having to buy/​carry/​set up the beach umbrella. We ordered sand shovels from Amazon for $ 10-​$ 12 each. We saw the same shovels for $ 2.99 in all the shops on Pacific Ave. They even had ones with longer handle for $ 3.99.

This was one of the best hotels I have stayed at. Breakfast, free parking and the friendliest staff you’ll ever meet. Clean rooms, indoor pool, oceanfront, did I me tion the yummy continental breakfast?
Do yourself a favor and gove this hotel a try :)

Plenty of parking, very nice rooms, amazingly friendly staff. Easy access to everything. With really good prices. And they give free breakfast.
