History
Established in 2014.
Granma Had One has been serving the Hampton Roads area in our Chesapeake store since January 2004. In October 2014, we extended our reach into the Kempsville area of Virginia Beach, opening Granma Had One Too.
We are a family owned and operated business, with a combined experience of 120+ years in buying and selling antiques and furniture. We strive to maintain the quality level of antiques, furniture, collectibles, and salvage items that our customers have grown to love. We do, however, enjoy a challenge, so if you are looking for something specifically that we don’t have in stock, be sure to ask us to find it for you.
We are a bunch of hard working characters and want to make sure that every customer’s visit is a great one. So if you see one of us out, be sure to let us know how we are doing and what we can do to improve. All suggestions and encouragements are welcome.
Meet the Manager
Joy D.
Manager
Joy has a keen eye for antiques and home décor. From a small child, she has been around antiques and grown to value the craftmanship of them. As a young adult, she honed her skills as an artist and adapted her eye to visually appealing décor for the home. She loves decorating and organizing the shops to give them a fresh look.
Joy is known for her creative mind when it comes to repurposing items out of outdated, unused pieces… giving them new life. She also does a good portion of our furniture updating, which includes refinishing, restoring, and shabby chic’ing items.
