Best barbershop in VA Beach. I’ve been a customer for over 20 years and they never disappoint. Just a good haircut with a straight razor shave priced right. This is an old fashioned barbershop with old fashioned quality.

It’s a sad day for me. They provided the worst haircut I received in years. I was worried when I saw the condition of the room, but went through with it based on the reviews here. They are using residential grade equipment, the seats are split open, and there’s a plant in a Gatorade bottle to top it all off. Regarding my hair, the gal took her time and I was pretty happy until she hit the top. I asked her to take just a little off to even it up, and she chopped half of my hair off. There is not even enough left for me to style. She also left a nasty line in the face which she attempted to fix once. She couldn’t get it so I asked her to stop politely for fear she would take it too high. I will certainly never be back. If you feel the need to tak it, I warned you. –Daniel

I took my 5 y.o. in on a Saturday for father-son haircuts. Good timing, as the two ladies were just finishing up customers and the gentleman(I presume owner?) had a client in the chair. This place has a decent«barbershop» appeal to it. Classic old-school type chairs, not a lot of fancy salon baloney all over the place. Just fair prices, pleasant service, and a haircut that feels good. As a guy, that’s all I really want. As soon as we were seated, about six more people came in, so we timed it just right! I got a basic cut, but sideburns were done with a straight razor, which was a new experience for me. It was finished off with a brief shoulder«massage». That was a nice touch, I guess.

Personally I was not happy. It’s not the barber shop I’m looking for. With that being said. My friend loved it and I also got a good haircut. The people here are of Asian decent and there was a slight language barrier but again I was not unhappy with the cut. Just not what I was looking for

Friendly, old school style with shaving cream and straight razor if needed, mainly focus on men and boys, but do have a female stylist on Sundays. Just what I was looking for in a permanent barber. Low prices too!

If you like it close and tight, this is the place. Plus they give you a nice straight blade cleaning in the back. The awesomest thing I’ve ever experienced in a haircut… plus they give you a quick shoulder massage. Since I’m Asian and my hair is unique — straight and coarse — I typically choose to go to an Asian barber. My haircut is fairly typical Asian male, more on the corporate side rather than the military or young’en side. I like a guard(4) with my fade and a trip with scissors on the top. They do a fair job with the fades, but they don’t like to use scissors for the top. Overall the haircut is a good cut, but expect it short if you don’t really want it short, but look forward to that straight blade and massage.

Took my little guy here for a hair cut. He’s had so many crap hair cuts since we moved here three years ago. Seriously, how hard is it to cut a boy’s hair? Anyways, he ended up with a nice cut here. His only complaint was that the trimmers didn’t have the vacuums to keep hair off of him. That drives him bonkers, but he survived and walked away looking fresh. We’ll probably return. If they got the vacuum clippers, we’d definitely be back every time he needs his mop chopped.

I’ve been coming here for years and never had a bad cut. If you normally get your hair cut on base, try a real barbershop instead and you’ll never go back.

I was in town for a family funeral, and was in desperate need of a hair cut. Not knowing what shop was good in town for fades, I guess you can say I took a gamble at this location. At first I was skeptical, but at the same time I didn’t have enough time to be a picky customer. So I sat in that barber chair with no hesitation. The barber was a lady, which made me even more hesitant, because the only other time I had a lady cut my hair was my mom growing up, LOL. But results left me and my family grateful that we came there for last minute help. The barber was nice right off the bat and welcoming to me, which I can assume she’s like that to all her customers. She had that typical barber feel, where they get to know their customers and take the time to make sure their visit won’t be their last. The location is kind of tucked away, in betwen bigger business buildings surrounding this location, which might of been the reason why when I walked into this place, there wasn’t anyone else waiting in line. Another factor could of been it was a Sunday. The best part about this visit was not only the hair cut result or the barber being really friendly, but you get a massage(back rub) at the end to compliment their great work and she their appreciation towards their customers. I was ready to drop $ 40 for my great hair cut and treatment, but overall the haircut was only $ 13. Seriously, the cost for what you receive. You truly get bang for your buck at this location.
