You and your loved ones safety from harmful chemicals are our number one priority. All of our products are naturally derived from plants and stored in recyclable bottles. They are safe for pets and children and leave your home smelling fresh and clean.

Your satisfaction is our priority. We do a walk through at the end of your appointment explaining everything that was completed in the home. If you’re unable to be home for the walk through review of the property our 24 hour guarantee gives you the ability to call us within 24 hours of the appointment and have our Cleaning Technicians come and resolve the problem.

And the best part is we make the ability to book an appointment quick and convenient. We do not require a walk through of the property to provide a price quote. History

Established in 2014.

After months of planning Ellie and Brittany felt confident that they had the knowledge and a plan to execute their idea for a business. On June 9. 2014, The Greater Good Green Cleaning was opened.

At the end of October 2014, The Greater Good proudly partnered with Cleaning For A Reason, a nonprofit organization working with residential cleaning services to offer free professional house cleanings to improve the lives of women undergoing cancer treatment.

In 2015, the Greater Good Green Cleaning will start the process of converting to a non-​profit organization to provide free home cleanings to cancer patients in Hampton Roads. We will continue to serve current and new clientele along with cancer patients.

Business Owner

Brittany and Ellie are best friends and co-​owners of the Greater Good Green Cleaning. Brittany and Ellie were both born and raised in a small town in Northern Illinois. Ellie moved to Hampton Roads in 2008 and Brittany in 2012. Both Brittany and Ellie have past job experience in residential cleaning and are business students. When Brittany and Ellie created the idea for the Greater Good Green Cleaning they wanted to encompass all the things they believe in, into the business including supporting the community, using green products, and shopping local.

These ladies did a move-​in cleaning for me. We purchased a house and were mortified at the condition that the sellers left it in. Everything was filthy and would take me several hours/​days to get it sanitized. Since we had so much to do to prepare for the move, I decided to hire a cleaning company. GGGC was the only company that was very responsive, professional, and able to squeeze me in at a moment’s notice. Two ladies arrived and worked for 3 hours while I ran errands. I returned when they let me know it was ready, and I was all smiles at the appearance of the home. Everything was sparkling. They worked very hard and it showed! I cant believe what a good detailed cleaning can do for a place, it really made the place look new and I couldn’t complain about anything. I would have never known that it previously looked so nasty after they finished cleaning. I am so glad that I decided to use them. I was able to focus on other things while they took care of this task for me. I did not have plans on using them regularly, but I am seriously considering maybe a monthly clean just to maintain the condition. Bravo ladies! I highly recommend you and thank you for everything.

Trustworthy, Dependable, Great with animals, Works around all our ‘clutter’, flexible with cleaning checklist, always smiling and in a good mood, fair price for services and excellent job at cleaning. Four ladies came out for an initial deep clean first, then I transitioned to twice a month (2 ladies for 3 hours of cleaning). I am glad to have found their company and plan to continue doing business with them.

Had an emergency. We were staying at a buddy’s beach place. I called a few places, but ultimately the Greater Good Green Cleaning LLC called me back first, went through their packages, and set up a clean THAT DAY. It was short notice. The place wasn’t wrecked, but it needed a clean, somethin’ fierce. It would have taken the couple families that were staying there several hours, and with little kids, it would have gotten messy again. Thankfully GGGC was there to help.
They transformed the place. They did an exceptional job. If I stay at VA-​Beach again, I will use them everytime. If I owned a place at VA-​Beach I would have them clean it periodically. I am in Wisconsin and have a cleaning service at our primary home, and I know a thing or two about cleaning services.
The Greater Good Green Cleaning is fantastic, and would be who I would use everytime.
They have a great customer service, great communication, and their product is great. A+.

Impeccable service! I had a real estate showing scheduled at 11:30am and was in a pinch for a quick clean. They came promptly at 8:30am, reviewed rooms and asked about any delicates they should be aware of. They were out before the agent came and the house smelled amazing! Their cleaning products are non-​toxic and I’m thrilled with the results. Will absolutely use them again!

I scheduled a cleaning right before the birth of my first child. I wanted to come home to a clean house and was too pregnant to really get into cleaning and scrubbing. These ladies did a phenomenal job! They were very easy to communicate and schedule with. And they went above and beyond to make sure my son and I came home to a spotless house. We have a dog that sheds a lot and I couldn’t find a single hair anywhere… that has never happened. Everything sparkles and looks so bright and fresh.
Even my skeptical husband was impressed and said he «could see using them on a regular basis» which speaks volumes!
Would definitely recommend them and we will be using them again and again.

I needed a last minute move-​out cleaning… And they agreed to do it. They even came in on a Saturday (a day they are typically closed). Not only were they on time but they were a friendly bunch. They dusted everything, vacuumed, cleaned the kitchen (including the inside of the refrigerator, stove, pantry & cabinets), scrubbed the bathrooms down, cleaned the carpet for an extra charge (which was in desperate need of a deep cleaning), wiped down the base boards & window sills… They were just amazing. Im sure I’ve missed something that they cleaned but the important thing is they didn’t miss a thing. Apartment looks move-​in ready. Again, I truly appreciate them coming last minute on a day off. I would def. recommend this cleaning team!

The Greater Good Green Cleaning visited my house this week for a 1 hour cleaning session. They cleaned the kitchen and bathroom from top to bottom, swept and vacuumed all the rooms and cleaned all of the baseboards in the house. They were on time, professional and friendly. It was so nice to come home to a clean and sparkly house after running errands all day. There was no harsh chemical smells left over because they used all green cleaning products. As someone with allergies and sensitive to heavy smells this was very important to me! I would definitely recommend them to friends and family. They are reasonably priced and do fantastic work!
