Anita’s Housekeeping… What can I say… Well I used them on a constant basis in 2009÷2010… LOVED them Debbie and Laura were great on the phone checked up on how things were and even came out to see what was unsatisfactory when I had a problem… Customer Service WAS (PAST TENSE) great…
Today Anita’s calls knowing they provided HORRIBLE customer service as well as an insanely horrible housekeeper in which my 9 year old son would’ve known a shelf full of dust in plain sight does not mean clean… she tells a relative of mine to please take the bad comments off they don’t need bad reviews… Well thank you for reminding me to ADD mine… never had one but surely you need another so Good people are not continuing to get ripped off by your NON-​CLEANING SERVICES!|
Save your money and do it yourself or a 5 year old child… they will do a better job and can probably understand English!

This is the WORST cleaning agency EVER! They hire convicted felons to clean homes!!! Would you let a convicted felon in your home? Probably not. Do yourself a favor and find another cleaning agency.

I hired Anitas Housekeeping, and they told me that one person will arrive at my house at 9:00am, and that they charge $ 19 an hour with a 3 hour minimum. I have a small apartment so I requested a 3 hour block.
The housekeeper shows up 45 minutes late with her daughter. She tells me that since there are two of them that it’s only an hour and half service. The mom puts on a mask, and it was basically how much bleach can I put on everything. Since she was late, and now behind schedule for her next job, she left a layer of bleach on everything. My wife and I had to go back and mop the floors again. Not to mention our house smelled like bleach/​Fantastic for 3 days.
I did not call them to complain, and no one called me to see if I was happy with the service. I decided that I just wouldn’t use them again. Then I checked my bank statement, and realized that they charged me for four hours instead of the three hours I requested. The housekeeper, and her daughter, did stay a half our later, but never told us that they were charging us for it. We assumed they stayed out of good faith for being late.
I never knew you could make your own rules as a housekeeper. If I hire someone for 3 hours, I expect three hours, not bring your daughter to work day, and hang around for an extra half hour to collect another $ 20.
Oh, and we gave them a 20% tip, too.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. Not only did they not show up, they didn’t even call me on Monday to apologize!!! I STILL haven’t heard from Debbie and it’s been a week and a half! Terrible!

I felt very comfortable using Anita’s agency. Debbie usually answers the phones and was helpful and encouraging when I told her my needs. (I’m pregnant and it’s hard to keep up on the housework right now.)
She scheduled me with Vicky, who was very professional; she called when she was on her way to my house, she walked through the house with me so she knew my expectations, and she called me to let me know her progress and when she was finished. (As a first-​timer using a house cleaner I appreciated the communication.) We also have pets and Vicky was comfortable working around the dog and cat.
My house was a big job for her and she she did great. We had done some renovating and the dust was particularly bad; I totally recommend calling Anita’s after you renovate in your house.
I paid the fee, which is about $ 19 per hour, plus I tipped her well.
The agency requires 3 hours minimum of work, so I’m not sure it’s a great situation for people who want weekly service, but I’ll probably call on Vicky once a month or so, which should work out well with a 3 hour minimum.
The Anita’s website is quite helpful in learning how the scheduling and cleaning process works and I liked that the agency chose a house cleaner for me based on my needs. It worked out great.

The quality of the cleaning service was exceptional for the price, which is about 30−40% less than most professional cleaning services. Best value in town!

Cleaning up after yourself sucks, even in a tiny apartment, and sometimes it’s best to let professionals handle a situation anyway. This was one of those times. We had really let the place go. The friendly dispatcher set an appointment for the next day. The housekeeper showed up and got cracking immediately, cleaning things I didn’t even realize were dirty. She actually unscrewed the clear plastic shower knobs to scrub out the insides. Already unsure of what it said about my life that I now call people to clean up after me, I was a little more embarrassed that I had never thought to do what she was doing. She really went to town on dusting everything too, including the nasty ass baseboards. Then her subsequent appointment canceled so she stuck around over her three-​hour window and cleaned a few more things just for the sake of completeness. It was ridiculous how clean it was. Yeah, I’m lazy, but even if I had tried really hard, there’s still no way it would look as good. Hell of a deal for $ 60.
